What Mini Goal is motivating you right now!

Climb v5 more regularly. I very occasionally find one in exactly my style I can do, but it's a bit of a rare event.7

However my main goal right now is to maintain while starting a new job with short notice. I will focus on sticking with workouts (reduced duration/intensity if needed) and steps (for days when I’m onsite). I will also be fuelling with carefully selected snacks , real food rather than treats work best for me. For now I will press pause on weight loss and consider maintaining my January average weight a success until 1 April.
Checking back in even though February isn’t completely over. I’m on track with maintaining my weight and even approaching that 85kg (although this morning was 86.5 😔 )and I’m starting to land my new workout routine. The snacking can be improved though, it’s been a long time since I had to contend with office food and colleagues who take breaks together three times per day. At least it’s mostly fruit, sandwiches and yoghurt rather than candy and baked goods.
Avg weight
Jan 86.3 kg
Feb 85.25 kg
Avg steps
Jan 11 310
Feb 11 200ish

I want to be below 200 lbs. I'm close - 204.6 this morning. I started at 255 in December of 2022, but I'm also doing hypertrophy training and getting a bit into bodybuilding as a hobby so I've taken a few diet breaks for mental health and to help build some muscle in phases. It's going decently well, I'm trying to make this last push to 195 (so that I can stay below 200 once I eat maintenance calories and put on some water weight etc.)
After that... I think the next goal is to try and reveal a couple abs. I look like I have two upper abs showing, just below my ribcage, but that seems to just be a quirk of how my body is shaped, it's way harder to lose enough fat to reveal anything else, so far. Trying to get two more abs to faintly show up, that'll be my next mini goal after I reach 195 lbs.7 -
I love mini goals! Mine is to lose 5 lbs by the time we go to a scandanavian spa for my birthday in a few weeks.9

I am 47 & recently had 3 strokes. I am now diabetic with HBP. My first mini goal is to get under 300 lbs. I'm 5.4 lbs away!!!!! Thankfully my A1C is two-tenths above normal. Dr said change eating habits & lose weight & I should be able to correct that. My major goals are to lose 200 lbs before I turn 50 & get off all the medications I have just been prescribed!14
-
I will turn 35 this year, and according to my doctor, I have the body of a 39 year old. My birthday is in August, and my goal is to lose 50–40 lbs. I already lost 3.3 pounds this week. LET's GO!!!!12

I got 10k steps this Monday to show myself I can do it from home (it's winter and I sit 10 hours a day for work). But the goal coming up that motivates me is turning 30! I want to have healthy habits instilled in me by then of eating healthier, higher protein meals and walking 10k steps a day by then.8

Mini goal right now is to get to Onederland! Haven't been there since 2009 and I'm at 203.6 this morning. It still somehow seems out of reach, but I can do this!! SW 2569
-
Onederland. 207 and working on it.9
-
Getting out of the 160’s into the 150’s by months end.8

For me, my MINI goal is to get into KETOSIS, , just a mini goal3

But the next time I got to use a scale (I don't own one so I only weigh when I go to my parent's), I had gained 6. I know that I had just gotten off a week of making a lot of bad food choices so I know that that was a factor. The next time I will be able to check the scale is at the beginning of March when I will be housesitting for my parents. All that to say, my mini goal is to be below 205.
My other mini goal is to have no days with less than 5,000 steps between now and then.
Well, I did not make my goal. I weigh about the same as I was the last time I posted. So, I am repeating the goal.
As for the steps, I think there was only one day I didn't get 5,000. I am repeating that one as well. It will be harder this time around because I am going to be driving a car to work for the next couple weeks.
And to keep saying no to buying food or cookies/donuts/etc at the grocery store.11 -
My mini goal is to make it to 65kg (GW for March).
Another mini goal is to run 5k in less than 30 minutes, hopefully in the next couple of months. My closest so far has been 30 min 14 seconds. I am consistently running at or below 34 minutes though. Used to be over 35 minutes for 5k..8 -
My mini goal is to be back in hiking shape (or close to it) for a trip in late April to hike the Triple Crown on the Appalachian Trail!10
-
I fly to Eygpt in May want to get to 140 I started at 178 forty-five days ago at 155.5 now7
-
I would like to lose another 5-10 lbs by April 19. A friend invited me to a get-together that day, and I want to look great in the new pants I just bought today. (I can put them on, but they will look better with a few more pounds gone.)7
-
My mini goal is to fit in a suit by the summer haha! My cousin's wedding is coming up. Currently down from 198 lbs to 178 lbs and would like to lose 13 lbs more. I can already fit in a suit but losing 13 lbs more will make it look so much better.5

Various goals that have finally grouped together to get my head in gear:
A cruise - not booked yet but we're definitely going to go on one
So many clothes that don't fit, but are only maybe 15 pounds away (including 13 pairs of trousers!!) I won't throw away anything for being too small, but I'll throw away things when they are too big for me 😊
Adult ballet class - which I am loving so much, but I know I will find it easier if there is a bit less of me.
Similarly, Parkrun (although I wouldn't say I love that, but it would be good if it felt easier to run)
And a long distance walking holiday, only 5 days, but it's something else that will be easier if/ when I'm lighter.5 -
I'm 5 pounds away from breaking below the 200 mark. That will put me at the lowest I have ever been in my adult life.13
-
My next mini-goal will probably be to drop into the "overweight" range, my BMI is around 31 now, so just a couple kg to go.
Done! Normal weight here I come.
Food-wise I've been doing really well, but I haven't been walking as much as I would like, so that's what I'll focus on for the next couple of weeks. Will try to do 10k steps a day for a total of 100k by the end of the month.8 -
I just want my food diary to reflect under goal, so I don't have to show everyone how much extra I can eat. I could make my diary private, but I have too much pride to do that. So look everyone, I'm killin' it, and if I'm not, you'll know.5
-
My mini goal is to get rid of the fat at the base of my back! ... it's prooving to be a difficult task!5
-
I recently bought a VR headset (which my co-workers playfully deemed a mid-life crisis lol), but I'm having a blast with the fitness apps!
My mini-goal is to at least log in and work up a sweat 5 days a week for now.6 -
I haven't posted in here in months!! I'm super proud to have reached a level of Sustained "Overweight". This means despite what I eat.....or what my level of exercise.....Obesity has been permanently kicked to the curb!! 😀 I feel as though I have reached an exciting destination ☺️. I plan to journey thru this Overweight Valley for a couple of seasons. Until I reach the next level which is "Minimally Overweight". Yes, it's a proper medical term. I will reach the next level once I lose 21 pounds...although my goal is 24 pounds.
I know that for me, slow and steady has been working with gradually changing habits. My next Mini Goal is to continue with my steps......my Minimally Overweight goal is this October/November 2024. This is 3 pounds per month. I've found that for me, just a couple of pounds a month has resulted in PERMANENT weight loss. Stay the course every one!! I'll be posting mostly in NSV Victories now as my priorities change to my improved fitness level.

Every day keeping my macros within the values. That is my daily goal. My weekly goal is to go to the gym three times.4
-
Fitting in the 5 pair of Levi's that have been gathering dust in my closet for the past two years.9
-
I currently weigh 270, and feel frustrated as hell with the way I feel. I’m going on a cruise in 2 days, but when I get back it’s on like donkey Kong. Goal weight is 225, but what the heck… might as well aim high.4
-
I’m aiming for 199 by the end of April. 5 lbs, 30 days. Good weather and a joy at being out in our beautiful spring weather have me aiming a bit high, but why not?4

Halfway there! First posted this when I was 328, I'm now at 314. Under 300, here I come!15 -
