Vicki oh my! Glad you weren't hurt.
I've got phone calls to make and a document to find, and I'm fighting the urge to eat something instead. But the taste treat would only last seconds. And the craving will go away if I let it go. I did have two glasses of water. If I want to procrastinate I can do it without eating.

Debbie- your DH did a great job at that show. How neat that he enjoys making the figures and selling them, something to take his mind off his mother's abuse. And is it me or does MIL seem to calm down when he doesn't see her for a while? Does she get "revved up" when he stops in a lot? She's nicer and calmer when you stop in. Maybe she knows she's met her match.
This post has been sitting for hours, I should probably hit the "post" button. Let's see if it works.

She is just putting on an act, like she is really being nice to me. I know how she really feels. She has to be a bit nicer when dh is gone because I am the only one around if something did happen and she really did need help.
She is great on putting on a "poor me, all alone, no one to help me do anything" act.
She is actually meaner if dh doesn't go over twice a day.
She thinks he is doing it because he wants to, like she really deserves it. She thinks he is there to serve her, literally. Make her a plate of food and hand it to her while she sits in her recliner.
That "friend" came over Saturday. She is still complaining about that- The lady comes over, expecting MIL to either cook for her or if they pick up food, MIL pays every time. MIL started this years ago and the lady takes advantage of it. MIL sent her to pick up food because she wasn't going to cook- She spent $40 on food(MIL's money) and came back, sat at the table and started eating. MIL is mad because she didn't get served. She barely ate anything and the lady not only took home all the left overs, mil did tell her she wanted one thing but she took that too, but also took her bananas and tangerines that were on the table again. This is a trap MIL pulls every time- tells the lady to take them(then is mad because she did). She knows she is being set up, she doesn't care. She is there to get what ever she can. She even took back the gift card she had sent MIL for her birthday.
She wasn't too bad when we went this morning- still complaining about the friend(I heard it all yesterday when I went over) so only a bit pissy with dh when he mentioned how much money he made-She is mad because it isn't her getting money- everything revolves around money with her, and to him, to some extent.

Well he decided to wait 2-3 years before we get a bigger trailer. But he did book a cruise in October to Alaska8

Wow Pip a cruise to Alaska sounds wonderful!

Vicki - Phew! What a scare! I hope it isn't too expensive.
Ginny - So lovely to see you with all the grandchildren. What a blessing!
I got an email to register for the 'patientknowsbest' portal at the County hospital. So I did. Everything is on there, including my wrist I broke last May, and all my bloods, including a couple of new ones, which are normal. But my recent hip X-rays won't be on there until April 4th. I suppose it's to give the doctor time to have a look at them and talk it over. Seems a long time though.
I'm still resting with my knees up and applying heat. Hope I sleep better tonight, last night was one L O N G ache.

Vicki - So glad the two of you are OK! Hope the insurance covers the accident with the deer. They cause so much damage, and the incidents are just so scary.
Heather - Hope it's a better night's sleep - when I can sleep, I can heal, but sleepless nights are just an addition to a problem, it seems.
Annie - Thank you for the heads-up on iHeart radio - I picked up the app, and it's so nice to have different music. Like you said, my Amazon just starts in the same place every time. Music is such an important piece for me exercising--I drag my little Bluetooth speaker all over the house as necessary.
Tracey - So well done, I had no doubt of that hundred percent. Hope you're hurting less...
It's been a very productive day for me - even with Corey home, I got all the floors done... I haven't been able to find a day where I didn't have a dang medical appointment AND I had energy in so long, so I needed to take advantage of it while I had it. So washed all the rugs, hung them out on the line, and vacuumed everything and then mopped. House smells lovely, fresh and clean. And I got two loads of laundry done and put away before he ever rousted himself out of bed... 😀
And he's in making me shrimp-fried rice, bless him. He wanted hot dogs, and that didn't sound good to me at all... and I've got everything packaged up and frozen, from the shrimp to the rice to the veggies, so that it's easy for me to cook. Love it when he does, though... I'm a lucky woman. Ah, I just heard the scrambled egg go in, time to get off here for the night.
Love y'all,

My fun find at Black Friday today.
Only problem is- no instructions so trying to track them down now- contacted this seller and sounds like he is just a reseller. Told me to contact the manufacturer. My box is plain, no name on it so can't do that.
For $2, I will see what I can do.

SophieRosieMom wrote: »Machka - thank you for those exercises, very timely. I had forgotten about the piriformis stretch and how beneficial it was for me at one time. Do you perform these stretches every day? Probably wouldn't hurt to do them several times a day, right?

At this point I do them in the mornings when I don't go to work, while I am still in bed, because I have the time then.
Sometimes I also do them on the nights when I know I'll be sleeping in the next day too, because I have the time then.
I do them in bed because I don't have a whole lot of other space in which to do them ... yet.
I do them slowly and, I'm probably going to sound like a yoga instructor here, I move my legs as far as they can go until I'm feeling a stretch, then I take a long breath in, hold it a moment and breathe out slowly. I focus on where I'm feeling the stretch and focus on relaxing that spot ... breathe into that spot as I breathe out" ... then I see if I can move my legs a little further until I feel the stretch, slowly, gently, then another long slow breath in, hold and long slow breath out, relaxing the spot that feels stretched, breathing out into that spot ... then see if I can move my legs a little further ....
It's all very slow, with deep relaxing breaths, slowly relaxing the muscles.
I did them yesterday before I went for my walk and my hips felt great! They've been a bit achy recently.

When was the last time you bought a new mattress?
And is your mattress relatively soft?
Firmer mattresses are supposed to be better for the back and hips, especially for stomach sleepers.

Vicki Happy birthday in spite of all the challenges!
April I have NSVT. Latest 2 week heart monitor showed two episodes 8 beats and a 16 beat occurances. It isn't unusual for me to get a strange beat or two of over 190 each week. The thing is nothing too serious at this stage. They did tell me no HITT exercises or running. Bummers-lol! I can walk, dance, etc. Just no fast rhythm changes. Hope yours is also watch and see for now.
Just finished page 13. The universe is a mess! I totally understand the mental issues! It has been rough for me.
Time for sleep.
Much love and many healing thoughts!

Machka - I had thought about the mattress, but I sleep in three different beds, usually two a night, so I don't think it's that. I'm currently lying on a very firm one in the front bedroom, having migrated from the marital bed at 3.30. It's my front thighs that ache most. I am propping my hip up with a cushion. I change position all the time, side, to side, front, back.
Last night was a better night, still achey, but I did drift back off to sleep more often. it's usually in hourly batches, after an initial sleep of two or three hours. When I get fed up, I migrate, so I can thrash about, or read if I'm desperate, without disturbing John.
Got to decide whether to go with John to pick up Bea this afternoon.

Today’s gratitude: Line dance class. Savings to cover Joe’s DDS appointment surprise.
Machka Happy to hear of your bicycle ride, thanks for the Vanilla info. Intrigued to hear about your plan.
Heather had to google your paper sizes looks like A3 is what I would call “journal” or 11x17” ish. So glad you’re feeling a bit better, it is curious about the abnormal reading. Johnny’s card for Bea.
Ginny the pic of you and the grands.
Lisa love your take on the balance and so glad you both quit nicotine.
Barbie thanks for your wise words. I try to remind myself that “comparisons are odious” but frequently fall into the “not. . .enough” trap.
Joy I wish Joe would accept me accompanying him to doctor appointments, but he’s yet to accept that two heads are better than one.
Vicki no wonder you were upset. ((hugs))
Debbie that was quite a score. Could it be a Member’s Mark (Sam’s Club brand)?

I walk morning and evening, in the dark and in the daylight. I think daylight savings time is appealing to people because it happens when the days are already getting longer and they think DST causes the longer daylight and the return to standard time causes the darkness.
Barbie in NW WA
We used to exercise in the dark, until my husband's accident. He can't walk in the dark and feels disoriented cycling in the dark.
DST doesn't cause the longer daylight ... DST shifts time so that we can enjoy the longer daylight. I'd like it to stay on DST year round.

In my area, the Amish keep their clocks at halfway in between the two times. So they are always 30 minutes "off" our time but it sure makes sense....and might be agreeable to everyone. I'm ready!6 -
