Debbie - I envy you and your warmer weather when it comes to starting veggies. Nice that your mom will have a market for her produce, and that neighbor is available to help her with outside chores if I'm remembering right. Interesting your DH's Safeway is making those changes, I wonder why. Do you think he'll miss not going to work?
Better close. Lots to do this morning.
Make it a fabulous weekend!

Your spring weather will be here soon. We are having rain and thunderstorms here today.
I am hoping things will work out for mom and the garden. I know not to push or it backfires.
I also know she wants to do more but doesn't have the energy she used to have(or the memory)-she will be 81 in June.
As for dh- Safeway got rid of delivery service because, dh thinks anyways, they got some kind of kick back from Grubhub/Deal Dash plus to save on salary of the 13 people they let go or reduced hours by half.
We are pretty sure he will still work a day a week or something, just have to wait and see how things go with the change. No one wants to work the hours that he works ( he works a graveyard shift doing price changes every Wed.)

Lanette Thank you! I am not a big carb eater but will pay more attention based on what you shared. My latest ratio is 1.58 lower than 6 months ago. DH's ratio is 2.08. Now to see if I can change our diets.......1

Fun this morning with the Easter Bunny ,and grandma sent Smiles Woody as he loves Toy Story8 -
Lisa-thanks for information. That is actually one I was checking out (need Mac compatible). Always feel better of someone I know has used one!
Margaret-Thanks for sharing your experience. I am in a similar position-I just wanted to make sure. I have never had gutters or downspouts replaced (so they could be close to originals!). Turns out after the testing my basement is really pretty dry.
Details on basement check. So he checked foundation, found one possible interior crack-but wall measures no movement. Water levels on concrete and in wood all on low level. Water a few weeks ago was actually floating drain working as it should-goes through trough and then runs down to drain. It has been awhile since it has rained that heavy. A bit of seepage in one corner. Will use some flex seal and get better downspout. Window where dryer vents is only one I have never replaced. A bit of seepage there, most like the metal is on its way out. I don't think there is enough problem to warrant 13,000 right now. I am considering an egress window but want to discuss with DIL who is very knowledgeable and experience in real estate. May get estimate for gutters and downspouts
Lanette-I would probably forget Staples and take computer to the computer shop you mentioned. And I believe we all put up with each other! That's what friends do.
After gentleman left today I had lunch and then took a nap. Pretty much a slug today. I did get out for an hour walk-rather brisk out there today. I do have a load finishing in washing machine so I will go put it in dryer and wash another load of blankets from when kids were here and get them packed away tomorrow.
I think I will balance check book and pay bills-that is something that needs to be done. May go to bed early despite nap. My blood work is all good-I am thinking I am still having post Covid fatigue-the two bouts last year did me in!
Newest health issueGot confirmation Friday I did get exposed to TB from a client who collapse at our place. Several staff on the the emergency team also. While chances of anything are low I will send us all for testing just in case. Turns out with TB it takes a bit of exposure (like days, which is typically why it spreads to people you live with). The reality is we have a better chance of getting a cold, flu or covid from casual interaction than TB, However, I know staff will be concerned and it is better to run it through worker's comp in the off chance someone has an unusual reaction. We typically have several cases in the community at any one time. While it isn't as prevalent as it once was-it isn't gone!
Off to check on laundry. Take care all,

Productive day on the ’deferred decisions’ front. Managed to dump several boxes of paperwork in our recycle bin for putting out on Tuesday. Nothing sensitive. Shredded all those.
Also wrote a piece for my next Creative Wring Group meeting (which is after Easter), and revise some of my Latin Grammar (also for after Easter). Monday Painters prep done. Monthly/annual group Accounts completed.
Laundry sorted and put away, shopping done.
Visiting elder daughter tomorrow to discuss Easter. Elder grandson’s birthday is on Easter Sunday.

Lanette, I'm glad you at least looked at the house, now you won't be wondering "what if?" Sometimes better to deal with what we know we have than to buy someone else's problems!
Machka, sounds like you dodged a bullet with the home you were looking at! Spongy floors would not encourage me to sign here! Buckets in the attic???? Yikes!
Terri, sounds like you had a pretty productive day!
Tracey, your ceramics always look so good! Good choice on the colours for the tree.
I did not really have too much of a productive day. I did get a loaf made as it looks like us gals are getting together on Monday! YAY! It's been so long! Between illness (mostly me) and folks going away, it's been 5-6 weeks since we've gotten together, far too long in my opinion! I also got a little bit of crafting done. I haven't done any resin casting for a few weeks, finally poured the start of a few items. Some of the stuff I'm doing requires 2 or 3 layers to make it look like I want, which means that many different pours with about 24 hours in between. I like to make sure the first layer is cured before I pour
the second. Oh and I did dishes, there weren't many, so I took the opportunity to wipe some counter space that doesn't always get wiped. I even took some stuff off the counters and put it away! lol
Didn't make it to the gym yesterday or today, really haven't felt like it all week, but did go Sunday thru Thursday, and tomorrow I will either walk with my friend or go to the gym. The weather the last few days has been kind of blah, so the motivation was lacking. It's supposed to be really nice tomorrow, so.....
Yesterday I did get the bathrooms cleaned, bedding changed and floors vacuumed. I even washed the main level floors! And then today I dropped a whole egg on the kitchen floor..... ugh. That's when I miss having a cat! lol
Enough for me for now. Hugs for those who need them, congrats to those celebrating and welcome to the new gals!

Good Morning to All
After clearing out/ moving stuff for three days, today is a rest day for my Husband and I. I have realized ⭐️less clutter/spars spaces make me less stressed. I slept close to nine hours and feel better, still have stuff to do around the house today. Budgeted food, water and steps are planned.
Lots going on here and in our world. Hugs to those who need them. Happy Saturday 🌼
I meant there was a lot going on here on the thread. And in our world, as in we here. 🙂4 -
Before we left California to move to Washington we had a five acre property that Jake used for farming vegetables that we ate and sold at the farmers' market. One day we decided that we'd had enough and the next house had a lovely yard with flower beds and a big lawn that backed up on the neighborhood green space so it looked like we had an even bigger yard without having to pay property tax on all the land. One day Jake came into the the house and announced that he'd had enough of yard work, called the realtor who sold us our house and got the wheels turning to sell the house and buy something with less care needed. We rented a storage unit so we could begin to pack things up to get ready to move. It made the house look roomier and gave us a chance to go through things and decide what to keep, what to donate, what to shred, and what to give away. We trusted a higher power and a good real estate agent to find a buyer and we drove around looking at other neighborhoods to see where we'd like to live. We made a list of what we wanted in our new house/neighborhood so we'd know it when we saw it. Eventually it all worked out and we've been in the new place for more than 12 years.
As much as we talk about wanting to move to the Shetland Islands, we know that moving is more than we want to tackle at this stage our lives so we watch a lot of YouTube videos and enjoy where we are.

@barbiecat Nice for you and your Husband. I hope ours runs that smooth. I think if it’s meant to be, it will happen.

Busy day...
Corey got a lot done on his raised beds, and couldn't resist trying out a few stones, which will eventually clad the outside of the beds. That's probably a 50-pound slab of rock he's toting around like it's nothing.
I worked for four hours and got this many bricks set. Not many, all things considered, but having never laid even one brick before, I'm reasonably pleased. Lots more to do.. Don't have enough sand to get the whole bed finished, but can definitely get some more done until Corey brings home some more sand.
And then... I walked in the house, and Egg was crouched on the kitchen floor, looking intently at something brown on the rug under the table... and it was a baby snake. I debated screaming and calling for help but was too tired to even be scared. I just grabbed a paper towel and picked it up behind the head. Took it outside and gifted it to the neighbor over the back fence.
So an eventful day. 🐈⬛😍👀🙃😀

Well done on the bricks and I worry about Rhody finding a snake. He likes the little lizards around this place.
That's an impressively heavy slab of rock! I haul and move a lot of rock around our yard and can manage up to about 30 lbs but I don't want to go very far with that and I'm not moving it easily.

Annie - I had that happen before it was a simple fix if I’m remembering correctly.
Ginny - yeah the wiring is correct, I’m pretty sure it’s the plumbing, the whole place needs to have plumbing upgraded and done correctly, it was quoted at $3500 though and we just don’t have the money.
Terri - Yes the little figures are in scale! This week or next I should have it all done and ready for its official picture.
Sorry to hear you had a fall, glad it wasn’t serious.
I have been reading of my ancestors from Ireland and trying to match pictures with names. I found letters my Grandmother had received with some information from Belfast.
Kylia - thank you so much. Yesterday my memory on FB from two years ago was that I wished I would have been a teacher at times. Now here I am about to start a practicum to become an Education Assistant, it’s surreal.
Sorry you’re still having to deal with arguments with DH and headaches not a good combination.
Heather - I think it’s fair that you would want John to be more outwardly supportive. Rodger tends to withdraw when it’s him, but if it’s me he tends to check in with me more often.
Kylia and Lisa - I too, have the all or nothing attitude. I’ve been really trying to correct that because I’m going to be in for huge trouble working with children that need EA’s.
In saying that, today I went to straighten up the craft/spare room today for Jonah’s sleepover and ended up being in there 4.5 hours and ended up even rearranging some of it. Now my foot is hurting.
Beth - The name of that app was called Photomyne - I was looking at it again the other day, I really want to buy a year’s subscription to it.
Lanette - I think that you’re right, I don’t think Rodger would do well without me, but I think I would be without him. Not that I want to test that theory anytime soon. My mom didn’t really handle it well without my Dad, but she was already having Alzheimer’s symptoms that we were thinking was grief. In the end, Dad would not have had patience for Mom to have Alzheimer’s. His Mom, his sister who helped raise him, and two brothers all had it. He didn’t handle it very well with them and he wasn’t even in a caregiving role.
As I mentioned I rearranged my craft room a bit today. I don’t know why I didn’t think about doing this months ago!
I put my desk right in front of my bookshelf. I can still get at the lower two shelves easily enough and it gives me so much more floor space!
Tomorrow I have to do some homework without fail. Kaitlyn is coming Monday so I won’t have time then.

Tracey - Love the craft room arrangement. Good job.
I've been thinking about getting some of those drawers on wheels for our art supplies. I could wheel it into the utility room when we weren't using it, but there is a spare hoover in the space that I never use. The cleaner brings her own. It could go in the garage. Food for thought. At the moment the stuff is in a mixture of plastic containers and shoe boxes and shoved in big, low, drawers. It's a nuisance getting it all out. It has to be out of sight, because the room's primary function is a dining room. I decluttered some paintings last night, and put them in the growing pile upstairs.
Lisa - Your outside efforts always fill me with amazement! I hardly ever even set foot outside. Let alone do physical work. At the moment I have a good excuse, but the mere thought of it fills me with dread. I used to do vegetable gardening in our last house, but only for the results. I just don't like the outside! Well done on the bricks!
I will ready my body for my surgeon tomorrow. I think a bath is beyond my capability, but could manage a foot soak and a strip wash. I may dare the shower. Take it all very slowly. At the moment I am crawling down the stairs backwards.
Love Heather UK xxxxxxxx8 -
Heather: Hoping your surgeon can fit you in soon. Being in pain is a doozy.
Tracey: 🥰 Love the craft room revamp. I’m working on mine. Have cleared the sewing table and can now work there.
Lisa: Always nice to see a good looking man at work. That wall looks very professional. Yikes on the snake!
Putting away some more laundry, then will tackle some more ‘deferred decisions’ 😝 (lovely phrase! 😝) and DH needs a haircut 😂
