    Baby steps works for me….so I finally had a loss but then Easter Sunday and my husbands birthday came and included some extra calories and sweets. Jumping right back in to including more nutritious and fresh meals this weekend. Will update weight on Monday.

    Well, this isn't off to a very good start. I guess with Easter and a night out with friends, staying stable is better than going up, but I was under my calorie count every day except for the night out. I was active last weekend and worked out or walked Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. This is going to be a long road.

    Not going up is definitely a good thing even though there is no loss. Just keep at it! You’ll see results soon. I’m sure you are aware a million things contribute to no movement on the scale… water weight, time of day, muscle growth (even walking builds muscles), low/new batteries in the scaleπŸ˜‰ lol, etc.

    Just keep going, and it’ll come.πŸ™‚

    Heaviest weight: 175.4 in early 2013.
    Original MFP starting weight (January 2018): 168.2
    January 1, 2024 Weight: 155.4 (10-day average 155.8)
    March 30 (Starting Weight for this challenge): 148.4 (10-day average 149.2)
    April goal: Get back to lower end of maintenance weight range
    Ultimate goal: Stay in maintenance range between (absolutely 140 - 153 and ideally 142-148)

    I report scale weight and (ten day average weight), and I post on Saturdays.

    Total loss for April: Essentially unchanged again this week. I am still in maintenance, and at a pretty steady average weight for that matter. I'm near the top of my maintenance range though. I am down 6.6 pounds for the year.

    04/01-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- Easter dinner was at Golden Corral all-you-can eat buffet. I didn’t need to weigh to know I overate and gained.

    04/07-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- I hate that I could not weigh today. However, I was stuck in the ER until 11:00 last night with my foot. It swelled up, was red and was horribly painful. The hospital suspected a blood clot but after much testing (Xray, CT scan, Ultrasound Dopplers and Blood work), they determined it must be diabetic neuropathy. Strange, I always thought that was like a phantom pain, not actually such a horrible physical thing. So today I remain a club foot and will have to keep it elevated. I knew the size would skew my weight so I will come back in a few days and add a weight when things have stabilized. Until then, enjoy your week my friends. The weather here in Michigan is improving!

    I don’t know what happened. I must not be logging correctly or something. We did eat out a few times at locally owned restaurants without nutrition menus, so maybe I didn’t log those calories correctly.

    We've been traveling this past week visiting family and friends in multiple cities so a lot of eating out, socializing, etc. I had briefly gone back into my maintenance range just before leaving on holiday, but I have not been tracking as diligently these last few days and have not been able to get more than walks in for my exercise. Flying home tomorrow, so hoping that I can get back to some semblance of my routine, despite having house guests when we get back.

    I threw away the last of the homemade Rice Krispie treats and carrot cake last Friday. I mean one treat on a special occasion is fine for me, but there is no need to keep that around - isn’t worth it for many reasons. I have incorporated more vegetables in meals again, but the scale crept up slightly after Easter. I will attribute it to the sushi the night before and extra wine. I know when we make small changes they do add up to big results over time and won’t get discouraged!
