    4/11 135.0 I like the new NP. Hoping to get off Fosamax and move to something that builds bone. Need to see a specialist.


    @quiltingjaine Let me know if you and the new NP find a different medication. I like the idea of building the bones too. Foxamax is so inconvenient for me because I don't like to wait the 30 minutes or more after taking before I can have coffee lol.

    @tiabirdie56 I've only seen one dr. at the Urgent Care and 2 drs at the Hospital emergency room and neither one mentioned it. However, they are referring me back to my own doctor who may mention that. Still no callback today to set up the appointment......


    @deepwoodslady. Donna, So glad your doing better today!
    I mentioned the compression sock because you can be active while wearing it. My husband needed one when his foot kept swelling, but no way was he going to put it on and I knew I couldn't get it on him. They are the devil to get on. I bought him a foot/calf massager and it worked great in improving his circulation.

    4/7 - DNW - I’ve been away for a few rounds - but I’m back now. Hectic crazy work schedule and then a long trip for Spring Break. We spent a week in Italy and I am happy to find that despite eating A LOT and not running very much at all, my weight has maintained right where I left it when I fell off the 10 day challenge train in mid-march. Now it’s time for me to get back on track and start the scale moving again. Because of the crazy stress of my work right before the trip, my running momentum suffered and I ended up being set back quite a bit. I had been aiming for a marathon the last weekend in May, but now I will need to revise my plan. There is no way I can be marathon ready in 6 weeks. It is disappointing, but I am not going to let the setback pull me completely off track. I have built a good base. Slow though it is, I am getting stronger and faster with time and if I dust myself off and get going again, the damage of the few weeks away I have taken will be minimal. New marathon target is set for August 24th. Training starts tomorrow.

    4/8 - 149.5. Busy hectic day back to work after a week and a half off. So much work it could easily bury me but I am determined not to let it. Ran 3 miles. had planned to also strength train but I was exhausted and ended up working late instead. 🥴

    4/9 - 149.6 Crazy week - trying to stay on track. Lost the battle with my will-power last night and indulged in coconut/chocolate almonds that my husband was eating with abandon while sitting on the sofa next to me. Hopefully I can show more restraint this evening. Attending my daughter’s track meet which always go FOREVER so will get home late and will be extra hungry so need to be diligent not to overeat or give in to sweets/junk because they are easy and fast

    4/10 - 148.7 - not sure how this happened but I’ll take it. I’ve been stress eating junk every night this week and eating well over my calorie budget. Need to get myself under control - not sleeping well due to eating too much before bed and then not getting up to run before work because I am tired and not recovered.

    4/11 - 150.2 - this is the increase I’ve been waiting for - not undeserved - now I need to stay focused and get back on track. I haven’t been sleeping well which has impacting my recovery so I have not been doing as much running as I would like. Hopefully I am able to get a good night’s sleep and can run as planned tomorrow.
