    Hello--
    Hello-
Angie, 49 yo female, 5'8" (used to be pushing 5'10"?), first time here. Highest weight 275, current weight 232.6, ultimate goal weight 175.
    Day 1 - 4/10: 232.6
    Day 2 - 4/11: 232.6
    Day 3 - 4/12: 232.4
Good day-ate within calories, did some run/walk intervals and stretching in the am, got a walk in at lunch and just chillednin the evening.
    Day 4- 4/13: 232.0
I am happy that the weight is dropping, but I kind of expected more of an initial drop coming off a "last hoorah-eat it all now" indulgent mindset?

    Week 1 Goal: 229

Day 03-04/12 - 147.2 - Had a very stressful day with work schedule changes. Maybe a new chapter work-wise is about to start. Hope so. Working 2 jobs today with only enough time to drive home, change uniforms and drive to the next job. This is ramping down. A friend came over when I got off of work and we tackled my long pea garden. All tilled up, weeds out, ready for planting over the next couple of days. Job interview on Sunday, researching the company, updating my resume, and making a list of talking points.
@dawnbgethealthy What type of job are you applying for? I'm wondering if it is also in the food industry. Wishing you the very best of luck and grace during your interview!

My name is Anya, I'm 63, and I just saw this challenge so starting a bit late. I'm so happy to be able to join! I'm hoping to take off the last 5 pounds of my weight. My weight has been steadily creeping up, after a previous weight loss. Which it always does, lol, if I don't stick to a program.

    Good luck everyone!

    Thoughts:

Last round I had my normal goal of a 12 pound loss which is approximately 4 lbs per month. That comes to about 90 days leaving the other 10 open for special holidays and social occasions. In theory, it’s a good plan. In practice it is a Mountain to Crawl up. However, each 100 day round I am extremely grateful for any progress I can make, no matter how big or small. I am also grateful for all the support from all of you that I get on a daily basis. Working on my health has become my #1 priority. My main goals are to maintain my remission by staying cancer free and to keep my diabetes in control. Losing weight is key to both goals.

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

    Day 01-04/10-181.6-(Trend weight 181.7)

    Day 02-04/11-179.6-(Trend weight 181.5)

Day 03-04/12-180.4-(Trend weight 181.4) I am not completely sure of why there is such an uptick. I’m sure that staying off my foot and getting very little movement and exercise is not helping. I have only been in the 3000 step range per day for about a week now and have only hit my 250 steps per hour on my fitbit 1 time out of 13 for 5 straight days in a row. Not burning calories I suppose is the main culprit. Yesterday I ate 1195 calories and 74 carbs. It was a good day. Another cold rainy day here in northern Michigan. Winds are expected to be quite severe today. Overall, no sun and very depressing. I’ve pre-logged my food and I expect today to be a good dietary day. I may try the exercise bike today as the foot is improving but still swollen. Dr. finally called. I can’t get in for two weeks! It will be healed by then and I guess I’ll never get answers. But we’ll at least go over that wonky blood work.

Day 04-04/13-181.2-(Trend weight 181.4) I got into that Christmas chocolate buried in the garage freezer last night. The cravings were HORRID. I’ll choose a lower calorie/carb day today on the zig-zag plan to help make up for it and balance my calories for the week a little better. Water, water, water also. I’ve been avoiding too much thinking it would add to the foot swelling.

I'm focusing on regaining fitness and losing wt so I can achieve my physical goals for this summer; KVR bike 80km, and "do the Grouse Grind" in Vancouver, BC., as well as multiple kayak paddles. I'm a 5'1" active senior from B.C., Canada, who totally believes that boundaries set by ourselves, society and family, are can be pushed. A year after retiring in 2019, although far from being bored, I felt there was “more”. Since then I’ve been working 3 days a week at a local Assisted Living Seniors Home.

Day 01- Wed Apr 10th: 175 30 min on bike; 5# wts aggravated sore shoulder so only 1 set of 12 for 3 movements.

Day 02-04/11 -- 176.4 Insomnia, only slept 4 hrs. finally just got up. Weigh in is skewed b/c already had lg glass of water. 7 hr road trip for appt 3 ½ hrs north.

Day 03-04/12 -- ?? can’t remember. Was early and didn’t write it down. Long 16hr day as we traveled to a funeral, then did a couple of other quick stops. A high carb day as I gave myself permission to have 3 bunwiches during our travels, then a sourdough dinner roll to go with my whiskey to relax down before bed.

Day 04-04/13-- 175.6 Expecting a wt bounce in the next day or two after yesterday’s extreme carb day. Now to totally focus on achieving some wt loss goals so I won’t feel like the old fat lady at the next ‘event’. 😉 I’m okay with that, it was/is what it is, but that doesn’t mean it has to be forever.

    Day 05-04/14--

    Day 06-04/15--

    Day 07-04/16--

    Day 8, Apr 17th:

    Day 9, 18th

    Day 10, Friday Apr 19th.

Week 1 Goal: 172 not going to happen. Would be happy with anything less than 174

I have looked back and my fitness and eating have not really changed since I was 16 pounds lighter.
I have days where I am stressed about this.

Dawn, an interesting comment was made by one of the coaches in a WW zoom meeting which is helping me rebuild what I hope is an approach which will help me reach my wt loss goals.

Like you I can recall what I did to achieve lose wt about 20, or was it 30?, years ago.

anyway, she said that going back and trying to mimic what worked for us in the past isn't always the best plan. Why?? Because we're older now, our metabolism's have shifted. Our mobility may be different? Our lives are different.

What I took from that, and am applying to today, is that we're at a new starting point. Whatever my weight is "at this age", is what I need to deal with.

I no longer have access to the aerobic classes, (and my joints wouldn't co operate if I did), to the pool for daily early morning swims, just to my general lifestyle "back then". My life is different now, so I need to build a new plan to deal with the 'different' journey. Def don't have the energy levels I had 20 years ago, don't have the unlimited mobility etc.

So this is the beginning of a New challenge ( thanks for that ), { sorry, hubby was yapping and I lost my train of thought} .. **sigh** ..

okay, I'm going to use this new 100 challenge to set a 'new plan for me' at this age and weight.

It can't be too restrictive because as soon as any food item is "off limits" then I'll immediately start craving it. Need to incorporate hand weights but have to work around a touchy shoulder joint.
Exercise will be fun as soon will be out paddling (kayak) and walking if back in the plan.

Re foods, small amount of bread for breakfast but after that, try to keep it to a minimum (incl crackers etc, essentially any foods containing flour and an oil or butter etc).

I totally love the suggestion of breaking up meals into two. Mostly because I am an over eater. I don’t really recognize being full until it’s much too late so I am doing that today. I own a restaurant and life is tricky when it comes to this because it looks like I’m always eating. Which I usually am 😂😂😂

    Day 01-04/10-- 152

    Day 02-04/11-- 152

    Day 03-04/12-- 151.6

    Day 04-04/13-- 152

I’m just happy I’m not trending upward.

Working a double. 7:00 PM 🕰️ I was trying really hard not to have sugar today but I’m crashing. I’m going to stay under my 1400 calorie goal but I’m grabbing a cuppa with 2 sugar packets in it. 🤷‍♀️

My goal is to be proud of my weight loss.

Day 01 80.1 kg, I did my planned exercise but I overate a little bit (I'm tracking my intake), since I started tracking I've eaten out 4 times and I need to compensate for those times. I read "most people who lose weight will regain it within 5 years", I checked my old numbers and I'm 3.5 kg under what I weighed 5 years ago. I guess I'm in that category. I talked to my partner about my weight loss (something I'm trying to do less often).
Day 02 80.0 kg, I ate below my ideal which should help me recover from previous overeating. I did my exercise sessions.
Day 03 80.1 kg my eating is on track for the last 3 days but I need to recover from the previous 9 which averaged too high. I exercised and that's on track too. Disappointed that the scale is headed in the wrong direction but...
Day 04 79.4 kg a big loss today. I did a lot of walking, I had sugary food for the first time in 8 days. I overate. Recently there have been 6 days when I overate a lot, I had sugary food 5 times. Coincidence?
    Day 05 79.8 kg
