Ugh! Ninety minutes on the phone trying to do my dad's banking! They want to text a phone that is registered to my dad. His landline phone doesn't text. So let's go in circles!

Annie in Delaware venting again

weather is amazing again today-high of 77.
Walked MIL's dog for half an hour- would walk him more but mil and dh both get antsy if I am gone too long(she thinks I have him out too long as it is and dh just wants me to get back so we can leave most of the time.)
Will be walking with my zumba friend at the wetlands tonight beings we have no class(teacher's birthday so she took the day off-shoot, my birthday or anniversary, that is where I choose to be, but that is me). We haven't walked out there together since Oct I think. Looking forward to getting to chat, having company. I love being out there by myself most of the time but like the company too. We don't get a chance to chat at class.

Had a bit of a scare with our seizure cat last night. Miso hasn't had any in over 6 months. Not sure what brought this on. It wasn't the grand maul type that he used to have. He was not able to walk right, walking in circles backwards and his eyes were shaking like crazy. I gave him his CBD and held him and it helped but when I put him down he would do it again. Had son hold him a while until he went to bed. I put him in a soft sided cat carrier for the night. Not knowing what I would find when I got up. That was the safest place for him. Woke up and there he was,sleeping on dh. He had gotten out of the carrier(guess I didn't have all the zippers up all the way). Acting like normal. I will continue to give him his cbd for a few days, just to be sure.

Lisa - Thanks for the organ recital. That was a lot of good information. I saw the cardiologist yesterday and she believes the a-fib a couple of weeks ago was a one time thing probably due to the stress caused by terrible tenant. Yesterday I was in sinus rhythm. I normally have an occasioal wonky rhythm because of a left bundle branch block. The extreme stress it seems pushed it over into a-fib but with tenant gone and metoprolol and Eliquis on board it has resolved. I will see them again in September.

Beautiful day here. We need a new battery for our lawn tractor. Soon, or we will need to bale the grass for the critters.

Beth - hope it is just anxiety over upcoming surgery.

Walked around the neighborhood, got over 10,000 steps. Finished the one wing of the Polish eagle x-stitch I’m making. This pattern is on 12 sheets of paper. If you don’t line them up exactly, your count is off. Honestly, I got to the 5 foot rule….if it looks good from five feet away, it’s good enough.

Annie - sorry your dad had another fall. Will he use a cane or walker on his walks?

Allie - I would not be happy with that cat, hope she calms soon. Can you play her out before bedtime somehow?

Vicki - there are some good kids in the school, I think also some teachers make the difference in the behaviour.
Based on the Rant & Rave FB group for this town I’m not shocked about how the kids are being raised. Quite sad really.

Michele - that 5 foot rule would work for me on some things, but I don’t think cross stitch is one of them. It’s why I decided cross stitch wasn’t for me. I notice too much while working on it and I don’t have the patience. I need to see results faster.

Tonight I made a couple of mugs. I’ll put them in a spoiler as there is language that may bother some in one of them.
Brodey asked me to make the one for Kaitlyn and I had to make him one too.
I had a better day today, I’m starting to understand grade 8 math! Wow it was 40 years ago that I learned it, and it’s a whole new way of doing it.
Very confusing.
Funny, I asked in my course how we were supposed to help if we didn’t remember math or grammar rules.
I love this one teacher I’m working with, I think another one will be good too when I get to spend more time with her.

Well I’m in bed watching The Masked Singer. I should sign off.

Had to contact Amazon this morning about some items that had failed to deliver. Faulty and returned to seller. They phoned me from India, but the line was so bad I could hardly hear anything. And I must have got someone on their first day! Took a while for her to get the sums right for the refund, but it was all resolved before breakfast. I've re-ordered now and they should arrive tomorrow. Normally the phone lines are fine, but this was almost impossible.

Beautiful day here. The apple blossom on next door's huge tree looks exactly like Van Gogh's painting against the blue sky.

I had a better night. Sore this morning, but I have completed all my exercises.

G and I have arranged to go for lunch at The Regency on May 3rd. It's so great of her to make the journey on the train regularly. Lovely to have something to look forward to. She's off to Paris again soon after, as she enjoyed her last trip so much. I hope it won't be too busy, as May is peak tourist season.

It's John's shopping day today, so I'm using up all last week's vegetables for tonight's meal. Broccoli, fresh green beans, fresh peas, in a fresh pesto sauce, with king prawns, and wholegrain spelt spaghetti. Yum.
Lunch is the best Scotch Eggs in the world, from Canhams. John picked them up yesterday, on my strict instructions, on the way home with Max. Big mixed salad, with avocado. Might put some raw broccoli in it.

John has cricket tomorrow, so I'm planning my 'funny lunch' already.
My prunes are definitely helping with the codeine side effects. I also use lots of EVO, even drink the odd spoonful, And I'm not stinting on the homemade yoghurt, post antibiotics.
I'm not snacking, even healthy snacks, and I've dropped either cheese or chocolate from dinner.

Love to all, especially those who are hurting, or who have caring responsibilities. So many of us. It helps to know we are not alone.
