Could there be ab alternate MFP universe?

Would that alternative universe be Our Slothlike Neighborhood?
    Or YourFeeblenessFoe?

    Or My Unfit Enemy? :p

Could there be a thread that no one visits or posts to?

Wasn’t that this thread for a while?

Would a combination of the two - YourUnfitFoe - be a good "alternative universe" compromise?

Isn't a compromise always the best way to go?

If two opposites collide, don't they neutralize each other, thus rendering a compromise as a straight line?

Doesn't it seem that a lot of people these days are electrons?

As in all negatively charged and waiting for a spark to erupt?

Are you suggesting compromising our morals is also the best way to go?

She wasn't referring to compromising our diet with extra desserts?

If I have only half a pint of gourmet ice cream versus a whole pint, would that be considered a reasonable compromise?
(Or, could I compromise by eating only one pint instead of two?)

Does anybody else upon reading the word "pint" have flashbacks to the Lord of the Rings movie?

Could this be connected to some sort of past life memory?

Are you suggesting it's possible I was a hobbit in a former life?

Wouldn’t flashbacks only be likely for one to experience if they easily recall things from movies?

Wouldn't flashbacks be more impressive for ones who are not so?

Which Lord of the rings species would you be if you couldn't be a human? Is my daughter correct, when she said I'd fit in with the Hobbits best?

How is that different than lying?

If lying = telling a story, does that mean all movies are lies?
  • frankwbrown

White lies, black & white lies, or technicolor lies?

Did you not forget computer animation lies?

Who else thinks that the difference between lies and storytelling primarily lies in the intentions or motives of the person?

Like, for example, who would suggest that fables, like that of The Tortoise and the Hare, are just lies?

Are you pretending it is true?

Are you presenting it as fiction?

    isnt that the difference?

    Yes, isn't it?
    Isn't a fable an allegory? 🤔
Wouldn't calling it a lie be missing the point, when
    1) there is no intent to deceive, and
    2) no expectation that anyone would take it to be literally true?
