04/24 Today I take the short round trip (about 3 hours) to look at an investment opportunity. I hope to have a good day with my eating. I don’t worry about my meals since I enjoy the foods on my plan very much. It’s the snacks and the night time. Having bouts with my binge eating disorder is not just disruptive, it’s dangerous for my diabetes and my overall health too. I’m really trying to get it under control. I did talk to the doctor yesterday about it a bit. However, he was not my regular doctor, he was on loan to help my doctor catch up on his work load. All he basically did was order another A1C saying that any rise in my sugar numbers could be causing the symptoms. I tried to explain that it’s the other way around. The symptoms are what causes me to binge and raise my sugar numbers. He did make it clear that the larger glucose numbers will cause a hunger that cannot be filled. It would make me eat and eat. In the end, I don’t think he wanted to step on my doc’s toes and address a “new issue” on his own so I got no answers on how to fix all this. Hopefully the labs will be passed onto my doc along with the appointment notes and I’ll hear something. I was really at the appt to re-check the foot issue anyway but the loaner doc said that my foot, likely diabetic neuropathy according to the hospital, is also just another symptom of the unstable diabetes even though I still feel like I probably actually stepped on something causing an injury. Maybe some answers will come of all this. I love when I have my strong days when the cogs on the wheels work so smoothly together and dieting is easy and doesn’t feel like dieting at all. I hate these hard times, weak times, bad times. I don’t always understand how it flips from one to the other so easily. What a roller coaster! What a journey! What a ride this is!
04/25 Got the call and our eyeglasses are ready for pickup. Due to meeting buses and babysitting tonight, overnight and tomorrow, I won’t be picking them up until Saturday. This will give me two days at home to try and get back on track with both diet and exercise. My foot continues to get better and better. I usually don’t weigh on Fridays anyway due to the bus schedule and the Fosamax medication taken only on Friday mornings so weighing in will have to wait still. However, I will track my food which is much easier to do when eating at home. See you all tomorrow in Round 258.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

I lost quite a bit (got to 130), but have been slowly gaining weight over the past 2 years despite my efforts.

Hi Folks! My name's Darin, and I'm an almost-45 year old woman from Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA. I've done a past 100 days challenge before and did really well with it (then regained the weight) so wanted to rejoin and try again.
Starting weight: 176.7Day 01-04/10—176.7Day 15-04/24—176.1 Okay, so I blacked out and when I came to, I had eaten a full meal from Arby’s. in itself it wasn’t too bad calorie-wise, but sodium-wise it was devastating. Going out to play trivia at a local tavern and will get a moderate bowl – but still regretting last night.

Day 04-04/13—174.6 Went to get a mani/pedi today which was lovely. Made a terrific seared salmon for dinner with baked potato and am stopping eating right now! No more eating. That’s it. or drinking. Let’s see how it goes.
Day 05-04/14—174.3 Succeeded with the no more eating last night. Also succeeded at moderation at an all-you-can eat buffet today (a ton of fresh vegetables and some fruit as well). Thus far the making good decisions is going well. But I think this downward trend is going to stop soon – I’ve lost all the water weight I’m going to lose. So now the work starts for real.
Day 06-04/15—173.9 Work kicked my butt today. Thankfully Josh and I walked this morning so don’t have to try to exercise right now. Just have to try not to stress-eat the entire fridge and pantry…
Day 07-04/16—174.2 Slight uptick but still met my goal weight so there’s that. Tough migraine day – had to take part of the day off from work today for bed rest. UGH.

I did have a ”woke myself up laughing” moment that I’m sure you’ll appreciate… I dreamt that I had gone into the office and was looking at a menu to pick out lunch. You know you’re counting calories IRL when your pick’s a clam chowder bread bowl with a bloomin’ onion topper!
Day 12-04/21—173.9 went to a cheeseburger party yesterday and did well with moderation (just one burger, limited sides, didn’t go bananas when in front of the potato chips although could have. Then came home and didn’t continue eating because I wasn’t hungry. Victory!

Thoughts:
Last round I had my normal goal of a 12 pound loss which is approximately 4 lbs per month. That comes to about 90 days leaving the other 10 open for special holidays and social occasions. In theory, it’s a good plan. In practice it is a Mountain to Crawl up. However, each 100 day round I am extremely grateful for any progress I can make, no matter how big or small. I am also grateful for all the support from all of you that I get on a daily basis. Working on my health has become my #1 priority. My main goals are to maintain my remission by staying cancer free and to keep my diabetes in control. Losing weight is key to both goals.

Day 17-04/26--DNW I typically don’t weigh on Fridays. Yesterday I stuck to my eating plan. When the snack monster creeped in last night after I already had my snack, I ate some beef jerky. It may have put me slightly over calorie, I’m not sure, but it was definitely better than previous nights. On the mend? Zero exercise as I babysat yesterday after meeting the school bus. I simply ran out of time once the workers left. I’ll try for some movement this morning before they get here since I’m up early for the school bus for DGS. But first, coffee….coffee…coffee.

A year after retiring in 2019, although far from being bored, I felt there was “more”. Since then I’ve been working 3 days a week at a local Assisted Living Seniors Home. A year ago my wt slipped back up into the 170’s. Goal for this 100 Round is to get into the low 160’s. Looking fwd to biking and kayaking soon.
Week 2:
Day 11- Sat 20th: 174.8 Prob result of indulging in sweet craving Thurs evening. Stayed On Plan yesterday so wt shld begin dropping soon.
# 12- Sun 21st: 175 Overnite company arriving today. Busy house cleaning.
# 13- Mon 22nd: 174.8
# 14- Tues 23rd: 176 A 'bit' discourage with no wt loss. Indulged in sourdough bread and Triscuits.
#15 – Wed 24th: 174.2 Bouncing like a rubber ball. Happy dance b/c it's raining Long "to do" list. Plan to stay on my "no bread, crackers etc" plan today.
#16 – Thurs 25th: 174.4 Long road trip to “the Coastal” area. Def envy all the rain they’re getting; our drought continues. Encouraging to see green grass, leaves and blossoms. We’ll have them in about 3 to 4 weeks’ time. Hill sides of the Fraser Canyon was covered with acres and acres of what we call “wild sunflowers: (actually Arrowleaf Balsamroot); unfortunately they are impossible to transplant into gardens. Avoided breads other than toast for breakfast but indulged in half a small bag of cheezies (road trip staple).
#17 – Fri 26th: 173.4 Big job that was looming has been completed. Feeling energized today, although knee is not happy at all. Cooking up a pot of carrots and turnip which I’ll use in place of breads at breakfast, made up a lg bean salad, so hopefully can keep this downward weight trend happening.

They open today, but I am working my 2 other jobs so I can't go to work there.
I put in 9 hours though over the last couple of days after work, getting the place prepped for opening. No tips (not open for business), but $20 per hour, so I am good with that.
I set up their POS system (since I am familiar with that type), mapped out the floorplan, cleaned, and organized. The place had basically been closed and abandoned by the previous owner.
They are very nice people and the young girl who will be their main employee and I really get along great.

Honestly Donna, I'm not sure how I will do there. At almost 64 I would rather work dinner shifts at an upscale place (none around these parts) than run around a bar until potentially 2am. But we'll see. They are closed Sunday, my first free day to work there, so I don't know yet exactly how it will be or when I will work next.
The wife is a customer of mine at the Indian restaurant that I work at, I adore her.
I leave for holidays in 3 weeks and need to get my garden in. I work the last shift of my "line" at the Long Term Care place Saturday night, and then my evenings will be free to work at the bar which opens at 4pm each day except for Sundays. TBD3 -

I have been at this tracking for quite awhile, on this particular thread for 15 out of the 19 iterations of it.
I lost quite a bit (got to 130), but have been slowly gaining weight over the past 2 years despite my efforts.
Highest weight was 207. Began on this thread at 198 pounds

Day 15-Wednesday 04/24 - 147.6 - Up a whopping 1.4 pounds from yesterday?? Argh. I was on point though, so I will take this in stride. I ate an entire shrimp ring for dinner, so expect that to clean me out in the coming days. After work today I am starting a new job!!
Day 16-04/25 - 146.2 - The new place isn't open yet, but I went in to help get it set up for opening. The next few days will be very busy, I need to get better nutrition than I did yesterday, definitely didn't eat enough, no time.
Day 17-04/26 - 145.4 - Kind of shocked, I expected a big weight jump due to exhaustion. But of course I will take it! 2 more shifts left at the LTC place, tonight and tomorrow night, working at the restaurant during the day for both. Sunday completely off potentially!

My goal is to be proud of my weight loss.
Day 01 80.1 kg, I did my planned exercise but I overate a little bit (I'm tracking my intake), since I started tracking I've eaten out 4 times and I need to compensate for those times. I read "most people who lose weight will regain it within 5 years", I checked my old numbers and I'm 3.5 kg under what I weighed 5 years ago. I guess I'm in that category. I talked to my partner about my weight loss (something I'm trying to do less often).
Day 02 80.0 kg, I ate below my ideal which should help me recover from previous overeating. I did my exercise sessions.
Day 03 80.1 kg my eating is on track for the last 3 days but I need to recover from the previous 9 which averaged too high. I exercised and that's on track too. Disappointed that the scale is headed in the wrong direction but...
Day 04 79.4 kg a big loss today. I did a lot of walking, I had sugary food for the first time in 8 days. I overate. Recently there have been 6 days when I overate a lot, I had sugary food 5 times. Coincidence?
Day 05 79.8 kg just a normal day where I am good, no overeating and exercising is as required
Day 06 80.4 kg I started two personal challenges, I had some sugary food because I won't be having sugary food for a while, so on Tuesday I gained...Day 07 80.6 kg my eating and exercise went well, still need to recover from the overeating episodes, maybe in 2-3 days that will happenDay 14 79.4 kg I ran the numbers to see whether I could lose 10 kg in 100 days and it seems iffy, however I'm not particularly hungry as I lose weight, so I guess I should just eat less. I overate and did my required amount of exercise. I looked at my intake graph and since day 1 there's been 7 days when I've overeaten.
Day 08 80.4 kg I had some treats and food I don't usually have, that's a negative, on the plus side I'm still exercising as I intended
Day 09 80.3 kg I have a cold so I only managed half my exercise today, that's fine, eating was good.
Day 10 80.2 kg another day when I ate properly, two days in a row, plus two exercise sessions.
Day 11 79.7 kg a good day in terms of exercise and eating
Day 12 78.7 kg I don't see a 1 kg loss very often, anyway I overate again, although my exercise was as planned
Day 13 79.3 kg Another good day, exercise and diet were good. I've decided to attempt to lose 10 kg in 100 days - so this will move over to the next round. Starting tomorrow.
Day 15 79.7 kg I ate a bit too much and my exercise was less than required. 10 kg in 100 days: 10.3 kg to lose in 99 days. Can I do it? Probably.

Thoughts:
Last round I had my normal goal of a 12 pound loss which is approximately 4 lbs per month. That comes to about 90 days leaving the other 10 open for special holidays and social occasions. In theory, it’s a good plan. In practice it is a Mountain to Crawl up. However, each 100 day round I am extremely grateful for any progress I can make, no matter how big or small. I am also grateful for all the support from all of you that I get on a daily basis. Working on my health has become my #1 priority. My main goals are to maintain my remission by staying cancer free and to keep my diabetes in control. Losing weight is key to both goals.

Day 17-04/26—DNW I typically don’t weigh on Fridays. Yesterday I stuck to my eating plan. When the snack monster creeped in last night after I already had my snack, I ate some beef jerky. It may have put me slightly over calorie, I’m not sure, but it was definitely better than previous nights. On the mend? Zero exercise as I babysat yesterday after meeting the school bus. I simply ran out of time once the workers left. I’ll try for some movement this morning before they get here since I’m up early for the school bus for DGS. But first, coffee….coffee…coffee.
Day 18-04/27—DNW Yesterday both started and ended badly. I began an aerobic exercise in the morning and 10 minutes in I got something in my foot. The opposite foot I’m already having such trouble with. I couldn’t apply pressure on it so I had to stop the exercising and begin digging in with a needle. As a diabetic I, of course, tried to be as mindful as possible. Eating was off-kilter all day too. I ended up making dinner for DS, DD, and DGS. Why I chose high sodium Mexican food I don’t know. Maybe because it was quick and easy. This is not the way to turn my ship around. I just felt like I hit brick walls at every turn yesterday. Today I travel to go pick up our eyeglasses. Lunch will be out, dinner will be at home. I will do some shopping while in the city. I will focus on bringing home the healthy foods that help me accomplish all that I need to do.

I am Dawn. 63, 5'2"
I have been at this tracking for quite awhile, on this particular thread for 15 out of the 19 iterations of it.
I lost quite a bit (got to 130), but have been slowly gaining weight over the past 2 years despite my efforts.
Highest weight was 207. Began on this thread at 198 pounds
Week 1 Goal: 145.6 - My start weight from the last 100. Plunking this in each week until I hit it.
Week 1 actual weight: 147.2 - started the week at 146.8

Day 15-Wednesday 04/24 - 147.6 - Up a whopping 1.4 pounds from yesterday?? Argh. I was on point though, so I will take this in stride. I ate an entire shrimp ring for dinner, so expect that to clean me out in the coming days. After work today I am starting a new job!!
Day 16-04/25 - 146.2 - The new place isn't open yet, but I went in to help get it set up for opening. The next few days will be very busy, I need to get better nutrition than I did yesterday, definitely didn't eat enough, no time.
Day 17-04/26 - 145.4 - Kind of shocked, I expected a big weight jump due to exhaustion. But of course I will take it! 2 more shifts left at the LTC place, tonight and tomorrow night, working at the restaurant during the day for both. Sunday completely off potentially!
Day 18-04/27 - 145.4 - Inadvertently did some sort of IF yesterday, I just didn't get time to eat until 3:30 when I ran home to change uniforms and get going to my second job of the day. Granola and Almond Milk quickly eaten. I made up for it when I got home at the end of the night lol.

My goal is to be proud of my weight loss.
Day 01 80.1 kg, I did my planned exercise but I overate a little bit (I'm tracking my intake), since I started tracking I've eaten out 4 times and I need to compensate for those times. I read "most people who lose weight will regain it within 5 years", I checked my old numbers and I'm 3.5 kg under what I weighed 5 years ago. I guess I'm in that category. I talked to my partner about my weight loss (something I'm trying to do less often).
Day 02 80.0 kg, I ate below my ideal which should help me recover from previous overeating. I did my exercise sessions.
Day 03 80.1 kg my eating is on track for the last 3 days but I need to recover from the previous 9 which averaged too high. I exercised and that's on track too. Disappointed that the scale is headed in the wrong direction but...
Day 04 79.4 kg a big loss today. I did a lot of walking, I had sugary food for the first time in 8 days. I overate. Recently there have been 6 days when I overate a lot, I had sugary food 5 times. Coincidence?
Day 05 79.8 kg just a normal day where I am good, no overeating and exercising is as required
Day 06 80.4 kg I started two personal challenges, I had some sugary food because I won't be having sugary food for a while, so on Tuesday I gained...Day 07 80.6 kg my eating and exercise went well, still need to recover from the overeating episodes, maybe in 2-3 days that will happenDay 14 79.4 kg I ran the numbers to see whether I could lose 10 kg in 100 days and it seems iffy, however I'm not particularly hungry as I lose weight, so I guess I should just eat less. I overate and did my required amount of exercise. I looked at my intake graph and since day 1 there's been 7 days when I've overeaten.
Day 08 80.4 kg I had some treats and food I don't usually have, that's a negative, on the plus side I'm still exercising as I intended
Day 09 80.3 kg I have a cold so I only managed half my exercise today, that's fine, eating was good.
Day 10 80.2 kg another day when I ate properly, two days in a row, plus two exercise sessions.
Day 11 79.7 kg a good day in terms of exercise and eating
Day 12 78.7 kg I don't see a 1 kg loss very often, anyway I overate again, although my exercise was as planned
Day 13 79.3 kg Another good day, exercise and diet were good. I've decided to attempt to lose 10 kg in 100 days - so this will move over to the next round. Starting tomorrow.
Day 15 79.7 kg I ate a bit too much and my exercise was less than required. 10 kg in 100 days: 10.3 kg to lose in 99 days. Can I do it? Probably.
Day 16 79.6 kg I ate too much but my exercise was alright. I've decided to delay the 10 kg in 100 days idea until my weight loss 'settles down'

Hi Folks! My name's Darin, and I'm an almost-45 year old woman from Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA. I've done a past 100 days challenge before and did really well with it (then regained the weight) so wanted to rejoin and try again.
Starting weight: 176.7Day 01-04/10—176.7Day 15-04/24—176.1 Okay, so I blacked out and when I came to, I had eaten a full meal from Arby’s. in itself it wasn’t too bad calorie-wise, but sodium-wise it was devastating. Going out to play trivia at a local tavern and will get a moderate bowl – but still regretting last night.

Day 04-04/13—174.6 Went to get a mani/pedi today which was lovely. Made a terrific seared salmon for dinner with baked potato and am stopping eating right now! No more eating. That’s it. or drinking. Let’s see how it goes.
Day 05-04/14—174.3 Succeeded with the no more eating last night. Also succeeded at moderation at an all-you-can eat buffet today (a ton of fresh vegetables and some fruit as well). Thus far the making good decisions is going well. But I think this downward trend is going to stop soon – I’ve lost all the water weight I’m going to lose. So now the work starts for real.
Day 06-04/15—173.9 Work kicked my butt today. Thankfully Josh and I walked this morning so don’t have to try to exercise right now. Just have to try not to stress-eat the entire fridge and pantry…
Day 07-04/16—174.2 Slight uptick but still met my goal weight so there’s that. Tough migraine day – had to take part of the day off from work today for bed rest. UGH.

Day 08-04/17—175.2 another partial day at work today due to migraine, and I’m retaining water. Blergh. Between the two not feeling great. At least got out and walked, and I meditated today. That’s something.
Day 09-04/18—175.2 migraine’s eased up and have stabilized with the weight. Now hopefully start to see a downward trend? Meditated again and was very moderate with lunch and breakfast. Will try to maintain for dinner.

Day 11-04/20—174.7 I’m trying to be kind to myself with having felt so bad this week. I did have a ”woke myself up laughing” moment that I’m sure you’ll appreciate… I dreamt that I had gone into the office and was looking at a menu to pick out lunch. You know you’re counting calories IRL when your pick’s a clam chowder bread bowl with a bloomin’ onion topper!
Day 12-04/21—173.9 went to a cheeseburger party yesterday and did well with moderation (just one burger, limited sides, didn’t go bananas when in front of the potato chips although could have. Then came home and didn’t continue eating because I wasn’t hungry. Victory!
Day 13-04/22—174.4 another rough migraine day today.
Day 14-04/23—174.7 Just going to have to get myself together for next week.

Day 14-04/23-- 200.2 This is my official day 1. I want to be healthy for my daughter and myself. This summer I am going on a physical vacation (hiking, lots of walking), I want to be ready for it. I just spent a few days walking in NYC, my heel and my ankle hurt. I know it’s my weight, it’s time to take this weight off for good. This is my highest weight ever, up until 2 months ago I was “maintaining “ at 185 but gained these 15 lbs so easily, I’m shocked! I know there’s no limit to how much I will gain if I keep eating the way I do. This has to stop, I need to get back in control. Today is the day! I’m am tracking everything I eat. I worked out yesterday. I’m taking a break today, my heel hurts and I am too sore. Tomorrow is workout day 2.
