@deepwoodslady
Okay GF, I am not going to let you go a whole week without weighing again. I will nag you Donna : - )3 -
Hi!
I am Dawn. 63, 5'2"
I have been at this tracking for quite awhile, on this particular thread for 15 out of the 19 iterations of it.
I lost quite a bit (got to 130), but have been slowly gaining weight over the past 2 years despite my efforts.
Highest weight was 207. Began on this thread at 198 pounds
Week 1 Goal: 145.6 - My start weight from the last 100. Plunking this in each week until I hit it.
Week 1 actual weight: 147.2 - started the week at 146.8
Week 2 Goal: 145.6 - My start weight from the last 100. Plunking this in each week until I hit it and then go from there.
Week 2 actual weight: 146.2 - Started the week at 148.0 - Hit my goal once
Week 3 Goal: 145.6 - My start weight from the last 100. Plunking this in each week until I hit it and then go from there. Hit it one time during week 2. Hit below it this week
Week 3 actual weight: 146.4
Day 22-05/01 - 146.4 - I got 6 of my 8 potato rows dug yesterday. Dependent on the weather, after work today I will get the rest dug and ready to plant (wet soil is too hard to move)
Yes, my grass needs cutting already, but getting stuff planted is more of a priority : - )

Thoughts:
Last round I had my normal goal of a 12 pound loss which is approximately 4 lbs per month. That comes to about 90 days leaving the other 10 open for special holidays and social occasions. In theory, it’s a good plan. In practice it is a Mountain to Crawl up. However, each 100 day round I am extremely grateful for any progress I can make, no matter how big or small. I am also grateful for all the support from all of you that I get on a daily basis. Working on my health has become my #1 priority. My main goals are to maintain my remission by staying cancer free and to keep my diabetes in control. Losing weight is key to both goals.

Day 22-05/01-185.6-(Trend weight 182.3) I watched “Hack your Health The secrets of your gut” on Netflix last night. It was very interesting and did explain some things that I didn’t know. I’m glad I watched it. In the month of May I hope to lose at least 4 lbs which is my usual goal. However, it would be WONDERFUL if I could get back into the high 170’s I had accomplished before the foot injury last month. This is my birthday month and what a great gift to myself that would be, even if it takes until the end of the month to accomplish this. New month-New Opportunity, right?

I’m 5’1”, and have traveled around the sun 77 times. I’m fortunate in that I can continue with my latest job which is serving at an Assisted Living facility. I’ve been struggling with a slow backslide. April 1st saw 177.2 ☹ Goal for this Round is to get below 165. Looking fwd to biking and kayaking soon but live in central B.C. Canada and spring is only now arriving.
Week 3:
# 18 – Sat 27th:
#19 – Sun 28th: 174.4 Worked but blah day for rest of day. Didn’t accomplish much other than snacked on this & that.
#20 – Mon 29th: 175.6 Paying the price of drifting away from keeping a food journal.
# 21 – Tues 30th: 174.6 Plagued by insomnia and fatigue. Frustrated by trying to log in to WW who’ve closed their website; laptop and tablet are old technology. MicroSoft doesn’t support their app.
# 22 – Wed May 1st: 173.4 1st day off and was awake at 5am! ☹ Have the itchies. Plan to walk for at least an hr.
# 23 – Thurs 2nd:
#24 – Fri 3rd:
Week 3 Goal: 173
Week 3 actual weight:

Hi Folks! My name's Darin, and I'm an almost-45 year old woman from Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA. I've done a past 100 days challenge before and did really well with it (then regained the weight) so wanted to rejoin and try again.
Starting weight: 176.7Day 01-04/10—176.7Day 22-05/01—173.8 Last night went out to Texas Roadhouse and had a semi-decadent dinner (ate bread and a full-fat Caesar salad, but had the grilled chicken as a main). Going to try to be better today.
Day 02-04/11—176
Day 03-04/12—175.2
Day 04-04/13—174.6 Went to get a mani/pedi today which was lovely. Made a terrific seared salmon for dinner with baked potato and am stopping eating right now! No more eating. That’s it. or drinking. Let’s see how it goes.
Day 05-04/14—174.3 Succeeded with the no more eating last night. Also succeeded at moderation at an all-you-can eat buffet today (a ton of fresh vegetables and some fruit as well). Thus far the making good decisions is going well. But I think this downward trend is going to stop soon – I’ve lost all the water weight I’m going to lose. So now the work starts for real.
Day 06-04/15—173.9 Work kicked my butt today. Thankfully Josh and I walked this morning so don’t have to try to exercise right now. Just have to try not to stress-eat the entire fridge and pantry…
Day 07-04/16—174.2 Slight uptick but still met my goal weight so there’s that. Tough migraine day – had to take part of the day off from work today for bed rest. UGH.
Week 1 Goal: 174.7
Week 1 actual weight:174.2
Day 08-04/17—175.2 another partial day at work today due to migraine, and I’m retaining water. Blergh. Between the two not feeling great. At least got out and walked, and I meditated today. That’s something.
Day 09-04/18—175.2 migraine’s eased up and have stabilized with the weight. Now hopefully start to see a downward trend? Meditated again and was very moderate with lunch and breakfast. Will try to maintain for dinner.
Day 10-04/19—175.2
Day 11-04/20—174.7 I’m trying to be kind to myself with having felt so bad this week. I did have a ”woke myself up laughing” moment that I’m sure you’ll appreciate… I dreamt that I had gone into the office and was looking at a menu to pick out lunch. You know you’re counting calories IRL when your pick’s a clam chowder bread bowl with a bloomin’ onion topper!
Day 12-04/21—173.9 went to a cheeseburger party yesterday and did well with moderation (just one burger, limited sides, didn’t go bananas when in front of the potato chips although could have. Then came home and didn’t continue eating because I wasn’t hungry. Victory!
Day 13-04/22—174.4 another rough migraine day today.
Day 14-04/23—174.7 Just going to have to get myself together for next week.
Week 2 Goal: 173.7
Week 2 actual weight: 174.7
Day 15-04/24—176.1 Okay, so I blacked out and when I came to, I had eaten a full meal from Arby’s. in itself it wasn’t too bad calorie-wise, but sodium-wise it was devastating. Going out to play trivia at a local tavern and will get a moderate bowl – but still regretting last night.
Day 16-04/25—174.7 Better today.
Day 17-04/26—174.8
Day 18-04/27—174.1 Tasty dinner tonight – grilled chicken and roasted veggies. Mmm.
Day 19-04/28—174.1
Day 20-04/29—173.2

My goal is to be proud of my weight loss.
Day 01 80.1 kg, I did my planned exercise but I overate a little bit (I'm tracking my intake), since I started tracking I've eaten out 4 times and I need to compensate for those times. I read "most people who lose weight will regain it within 5 years", I checked my old numbers and I'm 3.5 kg under what I weighed 5 years ago. I guess I'm in that category. I talked to my partner about my weight loss (something I'm trying to do less often).
Day 02 80.0 kg, I ate below my ideal which should help me recover from previous overeating. I did my exercise sessions.
Day 03 80.1 kg my eating is on track for the last 3 days but I need to recover from the previous 9 which averaged too high. I exercised and that's on track too. Disappointed that the scale is headed in the wrong direction but...
Day 04 79.4 kg a big loss today. I did a lot of walking, I had sugary food for the first time in 8 days. I overate. Recently there have been 6 days when I overate a lot, I had sugary food 5 times. Coincidence?
Day 05 79.8 kg just a normal day where I am good, no overeating and exercising is as required
Day 06 80.4 kg I started two personal challenges, I had some sugary food because I won't be having sugary food for a while, so on Tuesday I gained...Day 07 80.6 kg my eating and exercise went well, still need to recover from the overeating episodes, maybe in 2-3 days that will happenDay 14 79.4 kg I ran the numbers to see whether I could lose 10 kg in 100 days and it seems iffy, however I'm not particularly hungry as I lose weight, so I guess I should just eat less. I overate and did my required amount of exercise. I looked at my intake graph and since day 1 there's been 7 days when I've overeaten.
Day 08 80.4 kg I had some treats and food I don't usually have, that's a negative, on the plus side I'm still exercising as I intended
Day 09 80.3 kg I have a cold so I only managed half my exercise today, that's fine, eating was good.
Day 10 80.2 kg another day when I ate properly, two days in a row, plus two exercise sessions.
Day 11 79.7 kg a good day in terms of exercise and eating
Day 12 78.7 kg I don't see a 1 kg loss very often, anyway I overate again, although my exercise was as planned
Day 13 79.3 kg Another good day, exercise and diet were good. I've decided to attempt to lose 10 kg in 100 days - so this will move over to the next round. Starting tomorrow.
Day 15 79.7 kg I ate a bit too much and my exercise was less than required. 10 kg in 100 days: 10.3 kg to lose in 99 days. Can I do it? Probably.
Day 16 79.6 kg I ate too much but my exercise was alright. I've decided to delay the 10 kg in 100 days idea until my weight loss 'settles down'
Day 17 79.5 kg ate too much and didn't exercise at my desired level
Day 18 80.4 kg whoa how did that happen? Maybe eating too much?
Day 19 79.7 kg ate too much, exercise average is okay
Day 20 79.9 kg
Day 21 80.0 kg I'm now starting the lose 10 kg in 100 days challenge. Can I do it? Probably.
Day 22 80.6 kg moderate gain but I'm not too concerned. 10.6 kg in 99 days? Probably.
Day 23 80.4 kg, things are looking good in terms of eating. 10.4 kg in 98 days? Probably.4 -

Later: Felt so buzzed when shopping was afraid I was on verge of having a stroke but then realized I’d taken a gout pill on an empty stomach. Late lunch then felt better; blood pressure dropped significantly. *whew*. Slept 2 hours so falling asleep tonite will probably be ‘interesting’.
Walked 30 min just before dark.
There’s a tidbit from Noom’s book: “That’s Your Work”
Frustrated thoughts and feelings can be reframed with a simple phrase with a lot of power behind it.
“That’s my work”.
When you think your goals are too difficult, you can’t accomplish them, you feel stuck or just want to give up, all you have to say is “That’s my work.”
We all have work to do in this life, and it isn’t always fun, but we have chosen to do it because it’s something rewarding, whether a paycheque or a feeling of pride and accomplishment.
Don’t want to workout? That’s my work.
Being hit with strong cravings and I want to resist? That’s my work.
Don’t feel like prepping veggies for salad, stir fry etc. That’s my work.
Don’t feel like stopping at one glass of wine? That’s my work.
Don’t want to say “no” to cheese, crackers, etc. ? Well, that’s my work!
?? What’s your work?

Hi!
I am Dawn.
Day 23-05/02 - 146.6 - Finished the deep digging in my potato garden after work yesterday. I plan to get the potatoes in today after work as long as it isn't raining too much.

Day 22-05/01-185.4-(Trend weight 182.3) I watched “Hack your Health The secrets of your gut” on Netflix last night.
Day 23-05/02-185.4-(Trend weight 182.4) I had my weight wrong yesterday by 0.2. A typo error which I have fixed now. I did well all day until evening snack time. I stuck to my “approved” snacks but probably had as many calories and carbs in my snacks as I had in my dinner earlier. Not good. I recently bought a box of Elevation brand snack bars at Aldi’s. The calories are fair and the net carbs are very good (2 Net Carbs). The portion size is smaller than a normal bar or candy bar but it was so very good that I ate two. The taste and the 2 net carbs are so appealing that it makes them dangerous to be in my home. I probably will not buy them again until I feel I have better control of my sweet tooth. I did no exercise yesterday when I could have fit it in. Yes, I was pretty busy paying bills and such since it was the 1st of the month but realistically I know I could have made the time. I’m getting complacent with my food and lazy with my exercise and that is not the recipe for success. I am happy for no gain today and for feeling “enlightened” to my current behaviors. I hate the way these extra couple of pounds makes me feel both inside and out. I have already started my day with a workout video while I waited for my construction crew to show up. Today is already a better day. I am recommitting and plan on keeping all the promises I made to myself because I am worth it.

Hi Folks! My name's Darin, and I'm an almost-45 year old woman from Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA. I've done a past 100 days challenge before and did really well with it (then regained the weight) so wanted to rejoin and try again.
Starting weight: 176.7Day 01-04/10—176.7Day 22-05/01—173.8 Last night went out to Texas Roadhouse and had a semi-decadent dinner (ate bread and a full-fat side Caesar salad, but had the grilled chicken as a main).
Mmm.

Day 06 80.4 kg I started two personal challenges, I had some sugary food because I won't be having sugary food for a while, so on Tuesday I gained...Day 07 80.6 kg my eating and exercise went well, still need to recover from the overeating episodes, maybe in 2-3 days that will happenDay 17 79.5 kg ate too much and didn't exercise at my desired level
Day 14 79.4 kg I ran the numbers to see whether I could lose 10 kg in 100 days and it seems iffy, however I'm not particularly hungry as I lose weight, so I guess I should just eat less. I overate and did my required amount of exercise. I looked at my intake graph and since day 1 there's been 7 days when I've overeaten.
Day 15 79.7 kg I ate a bit too much and my exercise was less than required. 10 kg in 100 days: 10.3 kg to lose in 99 days. Can I do it? Probably.
Day 16 79.6 kg I ate too much but my exercise was alright. I've decided to delay the 10 kg in 100 days idea until my weight loss 'settles down'
Day 18 80.4 kg whoa how did that happen? Maybe eating too much?
Day 19 79.7 kg ate too much, exercise average is okay
Day 20 79.9 kg
Day 21 80.0 kg I'm now starting the lose 10 kg in 100 days challenge. Can I do it? Probably.
Day 22 80.6 kg moderate gain but I'm not too concerned. 10.6 kg in 99 days? Probably.
Day 23 80.4 kg, things are looking good in terms of eating. 10.4 kg in 98 days? Probably.
Day 24 80.0 kg, I'm eating too much, 0.1 kg lost in 23 days. Anyway, 10.0 kg in 97 days? Probably.6 -

Week 3 actual weight: 312lbs
Hello, I just (re)joined MFP. Every time I've started on here, I go hot headed with logging foods, making sure I'm getting steps in and going all out at the gym. But then, my motivation dies within a month.
So this time, I'm going slow. Starting with making better choices in meals (ie: cooking meals at home instead of being tired and ordering take out) and logging everything.
I'm also trying to make sure I get 64-80oz of water in daily. In a week or two, I'll see about adding in more physical activity.

Back for Round 3 for me! Hi, I’m Jenny – 59 years old, 5’6”, and reached my goal of 175 pounds during the last challenge. I’d like to give myself a little buffer so that even if I have a little gain on vacation I won’t go above 175 ever again! So am looking to whittle down another 5-8 pounds.
ENDING WEIGHT FROM LAST CHALLENGE: 173.2Day 01-04/10: 172.6 - Nice to see a drop already! I’ve been feeling a little hungrier than usual the past couple of days so I feel like my body is trying to nudge me back up. I ain’t goin’, so give it up bod! I am in charge!! Have been diligent with workouts the past few days too, so feeling good all-around!Day 23-05/02: 170.6- I’ve been MIA for a bit – I traveled last week to throw my father and his wife a 50th wedding anniversary party, and had to deal with family drama (of course) – so I was totally off-course last Thurs through Sunday – got right back on track this past Monday, but am dealing with the stress of this new job plus construction going on in our bathroom (where we had to rip out the floor that the last contractor laid tile on without leveling, resulting in cracked tiles and a wonky vanity) – so trucking two flights down to the basement to use the bathroom is a pain in the neck, especially since I’m up multiple times in the night, ugh. I was determined to get back into my workout schedule but only have had time for shortie workouts until today…doing a full 30 minutes of weights and cardio plus a 15 min stretch felt really good. But with all that going on it is with tremendous relief that I stepped on the scale this morning and am only up less than a pound! Still solidly at the low end of my maintenance window. I must have made enough good choices to off-set a big gain (there was lots of booze involved, but I wasn’t too bad with food)…and you know that family stress burns double the calories, ha ha. Whatever the reason, I’ll take it!!!
Day 02-04/11: DNW – super stressful day at work, started at 5am and never stopped…no workout
Day 03-04/12: 171.0 – Ok I have a feeling there will be a correction next week, but I’ll take it!! It’s just so exciting to see numbers on the scale I haven’t seen in literally a decade! There’s a wedding we’re going to in August where the bride has requested everyone wear “sea glass colors” so I’ve been on the hunt for a dress and shoes – and I’m just so busy I usually try to order a few things online from a store I can return them to near me (so I’m not stuck with return shipping charges) , and the same with shoes…I can’t tell you how exciting it is to have dresses show up, try them on and they not only fit well but look fantastic !! Or if they don’t, it’s just because the style or color doesn’t suit me, not because I can’t zip the damn thing up. I used to call it feeling “struttable”, a made-up word I haven’t used in a VERY long time – but a pair of shoes showed up yesterday and I was strutting around feeling pretty hot for an old broad!! I hope nobody minds but I end my weigh-in weeks on Fridays, so will adjust my weekly dates. I’m just so damn happy and proud of myself!
WEEK 1 LOSS OR GAIN: 2.2 pounds lost
Accumulated loss or gain: 2.2 pounds lost
Day 04-04/13--DNW
Day 05-04/14--DNW
Day 06-04/15--DNW
Day 07-04/16--DNW
Day 08-04/17: 171.2 – Started a new job on Monday so have been a little stressed, but I’m feeling more settled now so was able to do a longer workout & stretch today which felt AMAZING. I love the alternating cardio/strength workouts, they are my absolute favorite! I have settled on a pair of shoes for the wedding we’re going to in August, and am kind of psyched because it’s a much higher heel than I normally wear but it’s the Naturalizer brand – so it’s stealthily comfortable! The arch support hits me just right which is imperative for my plantar fasciitis. My husband will be less thrilled because I’ll be taller than him, but that’s the price he pays for being with a hottie, ha ha!
Day 09-04/18: 171.2- It’s so rare for me to weigh exactly the same two days in a row – but it’s all good. Got up extra early to get a jump on work stuff, but just did a quick 20 min BG tabata cardio & 15 min yoga stretch.
Day 10-04/19: 169.8 – Holy smokes, it is exciting to see a new decade on the scale! Though I’m traveling next week so I’m sure it will be short-lived, but it’s nice to have that extra buffer! Did a good cardio/weight workout & stretch – happy for Friday!!

I love this!! It moves us from feeling like helpless victims to the heroes of our own stories.
My work is to keep making sure I get RIGHT BACK ON TRACK when I have a lapse, since that has been my #1 source of failure over the course of my lifetime.
My work is fitting in time to work out, even if it's only 10 minutes.
My work is not allowing stress or my emotions to dictate what I "deserve" to eat or drink. This is not something I've historically been very successful with, so it makes the work of getting right back on track even more important!!!
My work is being mindful and alert as I navigate maintenance, to make sure my brain doesn't start telling my I'm "done" and can go back to my old ways. Never again!

Day 22-05/01-185.4-(Trend weight 182.3)
Day 24-05/03-182.6-(Trend weight 182.6) This is an extra early weigh-in. I usually don't weigh on Fridays. Whoosh! I’m not sure why, Probably glycogen. It was a good day yesterday, however. It was a lower calorie day on the zig-zag plan with a max of 1250 calories and 78 carbs. I was a bit under on both. Tomorrow my oldest DD graduates with her first college degree. I am so excited for her. She is turning 41 next month so going back to college for a teaching degree was a big deal. I have to venture to a faraway town I never go to. A VERY BIG town for a country girl like me so I’m a bit nervous about the drive. Thank Goodness for GPS. I heard about some weird circular turnabouts they have there so I am a little terrified right now, I’m not gonna lie. This should be interesting. There will be a celebratory dinner out afterward. I will have little control of the menu but all control of the choices. I hope I keep this positive attitude at the restaurant tomorrow! Today I am working on water consumption as I’ve let that slip lately. Have a great weekend everyone.

@newhthr
Welcome!
Yes, tiny changes in lifestyle. The little changes really add up over the course of the 100, and the year.
One bite less of one thing, 5 minutes exercising, food swaps.
Glad to hear that you are going to cook at home more. Prepping your meals ahead of time (for the day or for a few days) instead of eating takeout or in a restaurant will make a huge difference.
Best of luck : - )2
