4/26 170.0 My weight is a little up from yesterday. Feeling a little blah and like my body is holding water. Could be the meal I had yesterday evening. Planning to drink a lot of water today. I have been slacking on vegetables lately so I need to start working those more into my meals too.
4/27 170.0 Weighed this morning but didn't get around to posting. Will update more in the morning

RND 258 (my 11th)
SW (first round) 155.8
SW (this round) 148.1
I have missed a few rounds. I started Round 256 but then ghosted the group on 4/11. Work, stress, and life’s general busy-ness of having two active teenagers and a million obligations got in the way of me doing the things I needed/wanted to do.
The majority of what pulls me off track is my job - I end up working late which then impacts the time I am able to spend with my family, which then impacts the time I have to focus on myself. At the end of everything, I get the short end and the time I give up is the time I should be using to stay mindful and focused. I am trying desperately to get my work-life under control - but so much of it is out of my control and I have a lot of responsibility and accountability to things that take time and work that I cannot do myself. I am financially responsible for my family so quitting or finding another job (there are not a lot of jobs like the one I do in the area I live) is not an option. I go in waves of mentally committing to leaving work at a normal time and getting my life back to convincing myself that if I just put the time in now, it will make it better tomorrow or next week or next month and I will have the time then - but it never works out that way - I just work a lot and then work more. I end up in the endless loop of giving time to give time to lose time where I need it most.
Goals this round:
Stay committed to logging daily - holding myself accountable to the necessity of staying mindful and focused on my personal health and fitness goals
Complete all of my planned training sessions - running AND strength. When time is limited, I always give up the strength training (because I don’t really like it) - but it should not be “either-or” - it just needs to be both
Commit to recovery - stretching and spending quiet time to relax each day - this is the one that almost NEVER happens - the priority at the end of the list - the easiest one to skip. I have never built a good habit of this so it becomes an afterthought (if I think of it at all in the time-starved chaos of my life).
4/26 - 148.5 - slightly up from yesterday and the day before - but overall down from last week. Starting to be mindful and getting back to logging my meals. I managed to run 3 times and get two strength training sessions so far this week - and I was HUNGRY last night. I don’t think this morning’s weight reflects the impact of my constant eating binge from yesterday. I was +719 calories for the day 😯. Today is a rest day for me. Feels good to have earned it - I completed all of my planned training sessions (so far) for the week. It feels strange not to be scrambling to try to “make-up” a workout I skipped earlier in the week. It also feels strange not to have that guilt and pressure of having missed or skipped a workout (or two, or three). I have grown so used to feeling that way, the absence of it today is very noticeable. I would like to feel this way more often.
4/27 - 149.6. Welcome to Spring in Michigan. When i went running this morning it was 68 degrees F and felt like summer. It felt strange running in a tank top - especially since two days ago it was 28 degrees F and i had all my winter layers on. Went out to dinner with friends last night. Ate more than I probably should have but not as much as i could have so feel like I found a good balance between eating “responsibly” and not sucking the fun out of the evening.

🎷 66 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 258 (my 188th). So grateful @Quiltingjaine for another round.
Goals for this round; to lose! To be consistent and lose something; to get back into the 130s! Strive to have a feeding frenzy free 😊. Good luck everyone for a successful round.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

TBH surprised @⚖️. Thought I’d be real 130s. Yes, only a pound but it’s about knowing myself. At this juncture, I should be able to nail it with certainty. I didn’t sleep well last night (Woke up at 4 AM this morning) which is probably the reason.
I’ve been hitting 10k+ steps at least 6x per week. Did not yesterday… Worked most of the day and played tennis last night. I have been doing really well with protein… Tonight - girls night out, so planning it out. Gotta figure out this sleep thing… It’s holding me back from my best self…
Today: 🙆♀️🏋️♀️📿🎾.
NSV: Feeling comfortable & positive. Practicing staying in the moment.
4/27. DNW. Busy, busy, busy with life yesterday. Good protein. 🙆♀️🎾🚶♀️10k. BUT, didn’t stop to take care of me for this round. 🚫✅. Today, will journal and reset. Just give me NINE days! 😎
Up at 3am. Simply not going to be healthy with these sleep patterns.
4/28 133.0 Yep. i’m still discombobulated. Not returning to routine is not helpful. Still not sleeping. Up at 4am. Clothes are looser than ever but so darn puffy. It’s not what I’m eating…. My cortisol must be high, stress, dehydration, retaining fluids. I’ll check in tomorrow. Will search & capture some positivity. Focus on 💦💦💦.
WOE & Health Journey
****************************
WOE since 7/2023: MAD: (Mostly Animal Diet) Whole Foods. No processed foods. Animal-based proteins: EGGS, Beef, pork, chicken, seafood, venison and grass-fed whey protein. I count macros & kcals - always will. (Since portion control is my issue). Keto is high-fat but I’m now leaner animal proteins with lower fat than Keto. I thought I was “KETOVORE” but I’ve been told I am “MAD”.
I had paralyzing IBS for 20+ years. My mother was diagnosed with celiac’s disease in her 50’s. Following her lead, I eliminated wheat, oat, barley, and rye in 2015 …. Dairy? Hard cheese, HWC and butter - an occasional high protein Greek yogurt. Vegetables destroy my digestive system… I love vegetables, but when I splurge, I pay for it for several days… I do enjoy berries, lemons, limes. Avocados are my weakness. Enjoy a piece(s) of dark chocolate on occasion. Generally, I eat btw noon and 6 pm. (IF18/6). Alcohol? Used to be somewhat of a weekend social drinker and would enjoy a good martini/scotch or Paloma at home while cooking dinner. NO MORE. Root of many evils. Primarily, the destruction of will power and the enemy of optimal choices. I’d rather journey toward my best-self. I haven’t given up alcohol completely, but I enjoy it sparingly on special occasions. This is me. I finally feel terrific.
History:
I have ALWAYS been ON a “diet” since at least 9th grade. I have never been comfortable with my body - NEVER EVER- no matter my weight.

Aug 14, 2014 @ 157lbs (down 15 from heaviest of 172lbs in 2010), I decided to take serious control of my health. I lost 30lbs by 11/15/2014. Weight @ 128-132lbs through the end of 2020. Six years!
2020 through 2021, I fluctuated 132-140lbs. 🎢🎢🎢 Always self-conscious.
8/1/ 2022 crept up to 142lbs.
Dropped to 128lbs again by 10/30 - held 130lbs till 2/1/23.
2023 Back ⬆️ 145lbs by July 15! 15lbs BOOM! Enjoyed eating & margaritas way too much. My nutrition has always been somewhat healthy BUT portion control is/was THE issue. Started tracking again 7/15/23. Joined “Just give me 10 days” R231 in beginning of 8/2023. Here we are @ 130ish determined to…. STOP the 🎢 & be in the

The yo-yo is exhausting & unhealthy. Takes up way too much brain space.
I learned MY choices created an emotional 🎢 roller coaster with yo-yo weight and fitness. My forever goal is to be healthy & fit & maintain approx. 130lbs & IN SHAPE - to enjoy my “Senior” years to my fullest.
While active with 🚶♀️& 🎾 it’s clear a ST 🏋️♀️🤸🏼routine was absent. Strength & balance are 💯most important now. Time to incorporate ST 🏋️♀️ 🙆♀️🤸🏼as my TRUE focus. I want healthy/fit choices to be my first nature.

4/26 134.5 I expected a higher bounce since I ate most of a loaded baked potato. I got grilled shrimp instead of the intended lobster and passed on the warm loaves of bread.
4/27 134.5 We went for BBQ at lunch but I wasn’t hungry so picked at my brisket. Ate my potato skin for dinner - added butter, cheese and sour cream. Quite a treat since I have always loved potato skin. Today is French toast breakfast at the clubhouse. I hope they have eggs and bacon, too.
4/28 133.5 I’m surprised since I ate the French toast. The only other thing I ate was a small piece of steak (left from Outback) and 7 boiled shrimp with homemade bang bang sauce.8 -

DH wanted fish and chips yesterday & we didn't feel like driving downtown to the Irish pub, so we went to Culver’s. I had a burger. I rarely eat beef—it doesn’t agree with me—but it sounded so good, and it was, but I’ve had an upset stomach since last night. My system pretty clearly does not want beef, which is fine with me. Next time I’ll stick with the salad!
4/27 - DNW
I’m not weighing or tracking these days, but I feel very bloated and heavy. Also quite lazy. Spring fever? Possibly. I have some big garden jobs waiting for me when the rain and wind stop and I’m hoping being outdoors more will get me out of my funk. Today is very windy so I’m thinking some indoor clearing might be good for the soul. We really don’t have clutter, but there are things I could recycle and places that could stand a good cleaning. I don’t like doing it, but I like having it done! Enjoy your Saturday!
4/28 - DNW
I’m feeling less bloated today—I think I’ve flushed out the salt from Thursday’s splurge. I managed to get out in the garden a little yesterday, but it was not very pleasant because of the wind. Today is calmer, but so I’ll pull a few weeds before my afternoon knitfest with a friend. Wishing you all a lovely day.

4/28 - 179.0 - I've been part of this challenge off and on (more on) since Dec 2020. I haven't posted since Sept 2023. I'm almost back to my heaviest weight. I can blame this on not being able to exercise due to some major health issues, but truthfully I think I just started eating more and more as self-comfort and some depression. I never think I'm going to "really" have any major health problems (most people feel this way, I believe). Because I've had two major issues over the past 2 years, I started losing my confidence that everything was going to be okay. However, I'm so much better now!! And ready to get healthy again!! It makes me nervous to talk about my health issues (it's like putting it out there in the universe is bad luck - I know, I'm weird), but later I hope to post a few comments as my experience might help others. I'm glad to be back posting, Everyone on here has always been so positive and supportive of each other💗

@judefit1 - sending thoughts for strength and fast recovery to both you and your sister.
My FIL had surgery two months ago 9n his hip and ended up getting COVID which he then gave to my MIL and then MIL ended up in the hospital due to dehydration and other issues from COVID. You don't hear too much about COVID anymore - the world has mostly forgotten it I think.....but it is still lurking out there.6 -
@SModa61: safe travels! The weather looks to be good for you for the next few days!
@judefit1 been a long day. Car would not start (worked fine last night) had to get jumpstart. Then at two hours we stopped for coffee, car would not start again. Got another jump start and drove to auto shop. Got new battery installed. Three and a half more hours before we get to tonight’s hotel. Hopefully tomorrow will be more straightforward.
@SModa61 I'm so sorry you had to go through all that with your car. How frustrating! Hopefully the rest of your travels to and from will be much better!4
