04/25 …..???….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
04/26 --DNW
04/27 --DNW Yesterday both started and ended badly. I began an aerobic exercise in the morning and 10 minutes in I got something in my foot. The opposite foot I’m already having such trouble with. I couldn’t apply pressure on it so I had to stop the exercising and begin digging in with a needle. As a diabetic I, of course, tried to be as mindful as possible. Eating was off-kilter all day too. I ended up making dinner for DS, DD, and DGS. Why I chose high sodium Mexican food I don’t know. Maybe because it was quick and easy. This is not the way to turn my ship around. I just felt like I hit brick walls at every turn yesterday. Today I travel to go pick up our eyeglasses. Lunch will be out, dinner will be at home. I will do some shopping while in the city. I will focus on bringing home the healthy foods that help me accomplish all that I need to do.
04/28 --DNW I thought I would be home from out-of-town yesterday in late afternoon but I ended up traveling a little further to see two of my DGC (a new acronym @quiltingjaine?) a little further south. I ended up eating out at restaurants for both lunch and dinner. I can feel the swollen fingers and ankles today. We picked up our new glasses and did some shopping. It’s nice to have clearer vision. I am on track so far today and look forward to nearly a whole week before my next travels. I’m on track so far today and look forward to a whole week before my next travels. BTW, I have no idea why my weight ticker has blown up so incredibly big! I could not easily see a way to make it smaller as I saw no numbers (indication size) to change. I’ll continue to investigate. If anyone has the quick answer I would love if you could share. In the meantime, I’m sorry to all for the “in your face” graphics.

RND 258 (my 11th)
SW (first round) 155.8
SW (this round) 148.1
I have missed a few rounds. I started Round 256 but then ghosted the group on 4/11. Work, stress, and life’s general busy-ness of having two active teenagers and a million obligations got in the way of me doing the things I needed/wanted to do.
The majority of what pulls me off track is my job - I end up working late which then impacts the time I am able to spend with my family, which then impacts the time I have to focus on myself. At the end of everything, I get the short end and the time I give up is the time I should be using to stay mindful and focused. I am trying desperately to get my work-life under control - but so much of it is out of my control and I have a lot of responsibility and accountability to things that take time and work that I cannot do myself. I am financially responsible for my family so quitting or finding another job (there are not a lot of jobs like the one I do in the area I live) is not an option. I go in waves of mentally committing to leaving work at a normal time and getting my life back to convincing myself that if I just put the time in now, it will make it better tomorrow or next week or next month and I will have the time then - but it never works out that way - I just work a lot and then work more. I end up in the endless loop of giving time to give time to lose time where I need it most.
Goals this round:
Stay committed to logging daily - holding myself accountable to the necessity of staying mindful and focused on my personal health and fitness goals
Complete all of my planned training sessions - running AND strength. When time is limited, I always give up the strength training (because I don’t really like it) - but it should not be “either-or” - it just needs to be both
Commit to recovery - stretching and spending quiet time to relax each day - this is the one that almost NEVER happens - the priority at the end of the list - the easiest one to skip. I have never built a good habit of this so it becomes an afterthought (if I think of it at all in the time-starved chaos of my life).
4/26 - 148.5 - slightly up from yesterday and the day before - but overall down from last week. Starting to be mindful and getting back to logging my meals. I managed to run 3 times and get two strength training sessions so far this week - and I was HUNGRY last night. I don’t think this morning’s weight reflects the impact of my constant eating binge from yesterday. I was +719 calories for the day 😯. Today is a rest day for me. Feels good to have earned it - I completed all of my planned training sessions (so far) for the week. It feels strange not to be scrambling to try to “make-up” a workout I skipped earlier in the week. It also feels strange not to have that guilt and pressure of having missed or skipped a workout (or two, or three). I have grown so used to feeling that way, the absence of it today is very noticeable. I would like to feel this way more often.
4/27 - 149.6. Welcome to Spring in Michigan. When i went running this morning it was 68 degrees F and felt like summer. It felt strange running in a tank top - especially since two days ago it was 28 degrees F and i had all my winter layers on. Went out to dinner with friends last night. Ate more than I probably should have but not as much as i could have so feel like I found a good balance between eating “responsibly” and not sucking the fun out of the evening.
4/28 - DNW - I was too distracted by the pouring rain to remember to weigh while I was debating whether to put my running clothes on and get out for my run or crawl back in bed. I am proud to say I got dressed and got out for my long run. Was very glad I did because the rain cleared up - despite the forecast that it was going to be pouring for hours. I would have felt very guilty for having not gone once the skies cleared. 12 miles complete.

💦👟🏋️♀️ten more days to a lighter me! Last round found me going the wrong direction. I felt tired and hungry most of the time. I need to get control of whatever is going on and turn this train around. Pushing the water, holding off on after dinner snacks, keeping up the 10,000 plus steps and adding in some ST. Here’s to a smaller number at the end of this round!

🎷 66 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 258 (my 188th). So grateful @Quiltingjaine for another round.
Goals for this round; to lose! To be consistent and lose something; to get back into the 130s! Strive to have a feeding frenzy free 😊. Good luck everyone for a successful round.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

Visiting friend is also a nurse and DH’s bestie since childhood so she had a lot of valuable input into DH’s health plan. He’s struggling a bit with the reality of it all.8 -

@SModa61 : hope today is better for you- that's a long haul!
@Leigh_b : thank you for the good thoughts! Yes, Covid's still lurking out there, like any other virus now, and I just flew on a plane on Wednesday- the perfect incubation period. I thought about wearing a mask, but didn't. Lesson learned- I will when I fly next time. It's like being jammed into a petri dish. This is the 2nd time I got it, both times flying...

4/28 - 124.2 - really hard seeing numbers I haven't seen in a month. I don't know if it's hormones or what... Sigh.
4/29 - 123 - Surprised because I went to cracker barrel and figured I might as well get what I want because this week is a bust.. but that was about all I had so? Also I got transferred to a pharmacy that is walking distance from my house so that will give me approx. 30 min walking on days that I work. So although the numbers are higher I am still hoping to reach my GW this round.

4/28 - 179.0 - I've been part of this challenge off and on (more on) since Dec 2020. I haven't posted since Sept 2023. I'm almost back to my heaviest weight. I can blame this on not being able to exercise due to some major health issues, but truthfully I think I just started eating more and more as self-comfort and some depression. I never think I'm going to "really" have any major health problems (most people feel this way, I believe). Because I've had two major issues over the past 2 years, I started losing my confidence that everything was going to be okay. However, I'm so much better now!! And ready to get healthy again!! It makes me nervous to talk about my health issues (it's like putting it out there in the universe is bad luck - I know, I'm weird), but later I hope to post a few comments as my experience might help others. I'm glad to be back posting, Everyone on here has always been so positive and supportive of each other💗

/Nope, walked, parched myself/ Tip toeing back into the group after a week of AWOL. I have not posted since 4/22. Our little mini trip turned into an excuse to pay zero attention to my goals for last round, and to neglect the beginning of this round. No scale available, but that should never matter. I like the non-scale-victories better anyway.
