@NonnieDoiron I can see another positive in your situation: you say the company really wants you. That puts you in a position to negotiate! Ask for a part-time position, or even a creative deal like "every other Friday off," or extra paid vacation days. If they really want you this should sweeten the deal for both parties.2

When I bring back basic meals incorporating lean protein of chicken, shrimp, vegetables, and eggs, my body seems to respond positively. Also cutting out wine most days is a big benefit. Weight was up after a big lunch and goodies with friends, so most likely water weight due to sodium. I am very sensitive to that!

Trying to lean up and gain muscle for summer. I was maintaining around 120 lbs but I have increased my lifting weights and hunger has increased. I put on 5lbs. I think some of that is water retention since I got off a prescription diuretic.

I walked at the free indoor track at the community center. I can definitely feel the difference in my fitness. The center also has an exercise room with bikes, treadmills, weight machine, etc. I am still doing Leslie Sansone videos. I am still tracking my food each day.

Total loss for April: A little over two pounds. I am at the upper end of my "ideal" maintenance range, and right near the midpoint of my "absolute" maintenance range. That's good! The scale has shown exactly 147.4 for three days in a row; that sounds like maintenance to me. My ideal goal is maybe a little lower weight than is realistic, but I'll still keep it as a goal for now. I am down 8.8 pounds for the year.

04/21- -My meals have been great. My exercise is still almost non-existent as I am probably βover-babyingβ the foot right now. My snacks have been over-the-top. I ABSOLUTELY can very easily over-eat (or binge) on my approved low calorie/low carb foods. So everything I ate yesterday was healthy and to-plan. Just too much of it. Part hunger, part food obsession/binge disorder. Iβve got to get a grip. What causes these binges to creep up? What happened this time? The foot injury and inability to exercise? The cancer scare? The renovation and the mess and turmoil in my daily life it causes? Life has challenges, fears, stresses. I am trying really hard not to cope with food and emotional eating. Itβs a battle in itself. Iβll try harder to put out the fires tonight, thatβs all I can do.
04/28βDNW I thought I would be home from out-of-town yesterday in late afternoon but I ended up traveling a little further to see two of my DGC a little further south. I ended up eating out at restaurants for both lunch and dinner. I can feel the swollen fingers and ankles today. We picked up our new glasses and did some shopping. Itβs nice to have clearer vision. Iβm on track so far today and look forward to almost a full week at home before I have to travel again. The past two weeks have found me eating at too many places outside my own home. With less control over my diet, I can really feel the weight that has crept back up. It is more than I can emotionally handle right now so I am avoiding the scale, but I am not avoiding the problem. Things should be settling down more in the upcoming weeks. And my foot issue has continued to improve so exercise is back on the schedule. I should begin to feel some improvements soon and that will lift my spirits. I need to feel okay. BTW, I have no idea why my weight ticker has blown up so incredibly big! I could not easily see a way to make it smaller as I saw no numbers (indication size) to change. Iβll continue to investigate. If anyone has the quick answer I would love if you could share. In the meantime, Iβm sorry to all for the βin your faceβ graphics.

I've had a cold and laryngitis plus a lot of family responsibilities and stress this month - and while I've more or less kept on track, I realize how tough it is to keep focus on what is best for me when going through stuff. On top of it I had decided that this was going to be my alcohol-free month. I've been doing that the last couple of years: one dry month just to keep me aware and not go for the wine too often~!
So - everybody on this thread who also are struggling -- I GET IT and WE ARE HERE FOR ONE ANOTHER! If you need it today, here is a HUG to keep you going!3 -
