Speaking of push-ups I have no upper arm strength. I couldn't do one to save my life at any time in my life and I can only bench 55 pounds at 12 reps x 3. It is so aggravating! :grumble:

    Hi All!!

Well I did my leg exercises last night. And my cardio. But just couldn't do the situps last night. I got in 36 situps. I'm having trouble doing them. I was all ready to do them in the beginning I've fell apart on doing the situps. Help!!!

If you can do the leg exercised and the cardio you can get those crunches done.. So get on the floor and start crunching.. Was that helpful "smile".. I'm having a hard time getting motivated today too.. I need a kick in the butt....

I actually need to get off this computer....

Your right 100%!!! Thanks for the kick in the butt!! I promise I will get my 100 in today!! Now get off the computer and get your exercises done!!

I would normally help drink that keg, but that is going against the tide that I have started.
Took me a minute to stop laughing so I could reply.

    Hey!!!

Okay-- I hit the floor again tonight-- crunches like the poster above-- sit-ups and I haven't been speaking for years. But, I can crunch til the cows come home.

Worked on holding it like somebody suggested-- forgive me for not remembering who. :embarassed:

Also did two planks, one on extended arms, one on elbows, each held for 60 seconds. All I can say is, um, ouch. Yowee. Whooo-- youch. But, I held 'em!

Then I did 100 different crunchy kinda stuff, reverse, blah, blah, blah-- this challenge has helped me remember to get them in better than anything yet. I NEVER remember the floor work-- so, thanks so much.

Finally hitting the hay-- I was heading there about an hour ago, but the house is quiet-- ahhhh.

    Nite-nite!

I know today is check in day, so...I did all my crunches Tues-Thurs! No big changes in my weight this week (lost 1/2 pound), but I did lose another inch in my waist! The crunches must be having some effect!
  • Good Morning, All,

I got all my crunches in Tues., Wed., Thurs., with my 30 minutes on stationary bike, each day, plus on Wed. evening did triceps, biceps and shoulders, using 2, 3 and 5 lbs. I just started the strength training and I have muscles that have been absent for a long time. The scale has not moved but I am feeling a difference in my mid-section . . . so the crunches must be working!! I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine today!! :flowerforyou:

    Talk to you later,
    Connie

    Hi All!!

Well I did my situp/crunches last night at the gym. Mon - 0, Tue - 0, Wed - 150(Yea). I did just shy of 2 miles on the treadmill and 15min on the bike (can't remember how far I went). I did my leg exercises on Tues. and will do some more tonight. Ran out of time at the gym last night to arms. Will have to make up for it tomorrow night.
But the best thing of all is that I weight in this morning and I lost another 1lb!!! WhooHoo!! When I got up this morning I kind of felt bloated so was very shocked to see I was down that 1lb.

Husband took my scale away from me till next Friday. he thinks I focus on it too much and get frustrated.. I do but thats another story... I did measure my waist and I've lost a half inch..

    Gypsy,

Your numbers may not be as high, but you will still be closer to your goals. I'm glad to see that your not going to let one small setback keep you from riding that horse. Keep up the good attitude.

    Davi
    Hey Gypsy!!

I too fell of the wagon a bit, but got back on it yesterday. Don't worry about it so much!! Just remember why you are doing this in the first place... to get healthy!! So what if you are behind some of us. Just make sure you exercises everyday!! Don't focus so much on the numbers right now, they will come!! Like if you do 50 situps today, do 51 tomorrow. Do that with the rest of your exercises and before you know it you will pass all of us on the numbers!!

Good luck and remember we are all here to support each other and stay motivated!!
