Why are they taking the newsfeed away?

You need to put the newsfeed back regardless of you saying supposedly it didn’t get utilized that much. I find it very hard to believe a lot of us have utilized that with our friend to keep in touch to motivate. That was one of the features that I really enjoyed with my fitness pal and now you’ve taken that away, that was other things that you’ve taken away or made them to be chargeable if you still want to use them what is happening with this app?12

I can’t see if someone responds if I log in or my friends mentions any things help0

The powers that be at MFP took away the news feed4

I am so sad to not see even my little losses recorded on my newsfeed. Its like it goes off into the abyss, no celebration of even tiny losses. This makes me so sad!12

The exodus from MFP is about to begin. You reap what you sow, MFP.12

Until today, I could still see my newsfeed through the website, not app. Today neither.4

After the update on the android app, .I can't see how my friends are doing. Like if the did an exercise, or lost weight, and daily streaks. It's was a way to praise the and encourage them. Please tell me where to find that page again. If it was removed please bring it back
Thank you2 -
It was removed.0

I have logged in for 10 years, my news feed is gone today. I still have newsfeed from the very beginning when I first started to loss my weight. Now all my friends are gone, will never be the same.9

I have iPhone. I can’t create a new thread. All I can do is respond to existing threads0

Probably no one will read this. Like most here we are so disappointed that MFP has dumped the newsfeed. That was how we all stayed in touch. Let me know what you think about his.2

Why can't we support our friends anymore? That's part of our losing process.4

@stiggymt You should see a blue circle with a plus sign at the bottom right. Tap on it and it should give a a choice of new discussion, new poll, and something else. Just make sure you tap on the circle when you’re on a screen you can make new posts from.0 -
Yes please put the news feed back. I used it all the time. Very disappointed7

The news feed was the first thing I looked at, and enjoyed celebrating friend's successes and posting my own. It gave us a human touch, motivation, and empathy. Please reconsider. The whole program/app is not as attractive now.9

Well, the boards are already full of topics about the newsfeed disappearing. In Chit-chat is probably the least likely place where anyone working for MFP will read it though 😉11

Very annoyed with the removal of the News feed. It was always the first thing I went to in the app each day.
Time to see what alternative apps there are since now I'm basically paying a ridiculous annual subscription for just having a barcode scanner.9 -
I feel lost and disappointed without my news feed.. Shame on you MFP!24

I loved the newsfeed it let you cheer people on when the lost, had a good workout, logged consistently. Now we don’t know what r friends r doing and can’t encourage each other the same way18

I’ve moved to the free mobile app ryseapp.io to log my meals & workouts and encourage friends.4

Besides removing friends status, MFP randomly deletes my prior meal logs.0 -
I’m so disappointed the newsfeed is gone. How am I supposed to interact with my pals? On the FAQ it says the newsfeed is a rarely used feature and that’s why it was removed. Are you kidding?21
-
I agree @themommie, I had just added some cool friends too5

It's awfully lonely here without the newsfeed! I love the newsfeed because it keeps me going and we are supporting each other! BS that the newsfeed is a rarely used feature!15

Yes!!! Put it back. There’s no place now to see total pounds lost! Why was this removed?!?! Ridiculous. Please add the newsfeed back — or at the very least, add the total pounds lost icon on the home page.6

It's still visible via the More menu button in the Android app, and on the homepage of the website.0 -
Honestly, the news feed has been the only reason I've been logging in daily for 3705 days.6

It's no longer available via the iOS app or the website homepage for me.2
