Tracey-there can be lots of reasons why interviews get delayed. We never send rejections until someone we have offered job to accepts it-they have been known to decline an offer. I wouldn't be bothered by that because many times it is a slim difference between two candidates. As someone else said, someone involved could have suddenly been out of office. The timeframe you are experiencing does not sound undue to me.

Lanette-agree with you on the foot-we are now working on all things in leg to help mine. Too early to tell but I am hopeful.

Allie-I join the group that says you must let brother stand on his own. It doesn't help him that Jean has enabled all of these years. You don't need to enable either one of them-you can always love from a distance.

We to doctor at Ohio State today. Cancer is once again stable (CT scans show no significant changes and blood work is stable. So-bloodwork every three months to monitor levels and a chest CT in January. Got bone density scan scheduled for February since I said I would follow up after implant done. Don't know that I will go back on fosomax but will get tests before final decision.

Having a bit of a gentle rain here-it is needed but grass is almost back to green.

Off to lady's group tonight.

Thanks for all the good thoughts. Colonoscopy is done. One small polyp found and removed. Yay! Really wasn't too bad.

FYI: I followed Allie's tip of drinking prep solution over ice with a straw. Also added small amounts of Good Earth spicy tea (Thanks, Debbie for recommending this product years ago) to cut the solution when it got hard to finish the last gulps in the glass. It has a strong cinnamon and ginger finish which really cut the yucky flavor and thickness. And then, I chewed my favorite gym to finish clearing my palate and enjoy a fresher mouth.

I'll be back here once I catch up reading. Till then, stay well.

Today: This morning’s power outage was shorter than Monday’s ;}
Yesterday: T3 is low normal so MD recommends snacking on a little Nori to make sure I’m getting enough iodine. Funny I thought living on the coast was a natural source Anyhoo I’m thankful he’s not pushing thyroid meds. Mammo last month recommended breast MRI as the tissue is so dense. Family history reinforces the recommendation. Anyone have any experience? Is it as uncomfortable as the usual 3D smoosh?
Carol it amazes me that they have you walking immediately after the surgery. Bravissima!
Tracey love, love the Patches adventure and the look on Michaela’s face when they were reunited. How did you feel about the people interviewing you, did they feel compatible, honest, trustworthy, fun?

Allie the hair cut. The Jean and Sean drama, not so much. Have you looked into AlAnon for family members of alcoholics? Might help prepare you to set and stick to your boundaries …

It’s been 6 sessions of BB&B since July 3 and I’m thankful I’ve gone. When coach asked how it was going I said “It’s HARD, but so worthwhile. Think there are tiny improvements, a bit easier to rise from a chair, etc. “ What I forgot to mention is that while balance is not yet noticeably better, stamina seems to be. That having been said, after BB&B and line dance today, I’m POOPED. No energy to make tuna salad, roast beets, prep artichoke, groom Tumble. Ah well, tomorrow after we return from nail trims…

Very wakeful night. Lots of reading. I'm reading The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. I will download a new one for the post op wakefulness. Something familiar and soothing for the night hours.
I can nap today, as I'm not expecting to sleep well tonight! Nerves. I will sleep during the op on Friday anyway!
I find not being able to sleep on my side/front after the op very disconcerting. It was a couple of weeks for me last time.

Ginny - So glad to hear about the stability.

Tracey - V good luck with the second interview.

Carol - I have little energy. I do a little bit at a time, during my peak energy times. I break most tasks down into sections and don't mind if I have to leave it half-way, until the next session. I aim at progress, not perfection, and am happy with just throwing away one thing, or cleaning one half of a shelf. It took me two days to install the fridge rotator, done in small sessions.
1 Get some out of date jars out of fridge.
2 Empty contents carefully.
3 Wash jars for recycling.
4 Take jars to door for putting in bin. (John put them in the glass bin)
5 Remove current jars.
6 John removes and washes fridge shelf. Puts back.
7 I install new rotator and put remaining jars back.

All these things were done at different times and over two days. I can only work in very short bursts because of my hip and general energy. I spend most of my time resting. Overdoing things results in injury and exhaustion.
Every single thing that leaves my house for good, I count as a victory. I love to simplify my life.
I aim for less, every day. It gives me so much more.

Lisa - Last time I was in agony before the op. I would've cut my own leg off rather than carry on like that. I don't know how people wait over a year for these ops. I could barely walk ten steps, and was in radiating pain all night. Plus I was battling a UTI with a deadline to meet! Plus I was isolating. I couldn't wait to get to the operating table.
This time I'm mobile, within reason, and in no more discomfort that a couple of paracetamol won't fix. I am staying away from people, but happily Zooming and telephone chatting. Decluttering gives me peace and pleasure.
It certainly feels weird to be submitting myself again to the considerable pain of the post op days. I will ask for better pain management for the Saturday morning. That was horrible, but they wanted me perky for my first physio, and an X-ray downstairs. I was not amused. Nor did I enjoy the bedpan and the commode, but they were only once each, and then I was able to get to the toilet on my crutches.My main problem was fluctuating BP, so they were very wary of letting me walk at first.
So, I'm not anticipating a light ride, but it needs doing, and I will be glad when it's over.

Sorry you've had a bad few days. Horrible.
