I’ll start my daily weigh-ins tomorrow. I keep forgetting to check it until after coffee so hopefully I can do better tomorrow!

@pezhed My suggestion is to tape a note over the on switch on the coffee pot. Every Saturday night when I fix the coffee pot, I tape the Fosamax packet over the on button.

@UTMom81 I’m so sorry for your loss but happy you and your daughter were able to hold his hands as he crossed over. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

@UTMom81 I am so very sorry for your loss. I only know of you what I caught from this thread, but it’s abundantly clear that your father was fortunate to have you and your daughter in his final days. Holding you in my heart as you endure this loss.

Hi again everyone! I return with my tail between my legs. I’m Amanda (39F) in Virginia. A lot has happened since I last attempted to restart. I got laid off from my work-from-home job in May, and then we moved to Colorado for the summer for a temporary job for my husband while I was a stay-at-home mom to my 3- and 5-year-old DSs. Now the older one has started kindergarten (!!) back in VA and the younger one is in daycare. I start a new work-from-home job next Tuesday, so I’m hoping to have a strong week to kick my weight loss off this time. I’m actually flying to their office in California on my first day so hopefully I can get enough momentum going in the meantime.

I was very successful in 2022 thanks to @quiltingjaine running this challenge and the support of the group, so I need to channel that again for a repeat. I lost 20+ pounds before by combining intermittent fasting (nothing extreme, just 16:8 most days), calorie tracking, exercise, and accountability here. Unfortunately I didn’t figure out maintenance and it’s all back, maybe even a little more. I’m still active but my diet has been pretty terrible. Weight loss (and maintenance) definitely happens in the kitchen!

I’ll start my daily weigh-ins tomorrow. I keep forgetting to check it until after coffee so hopefully I can do better tomorrow!

@pezhed I remember you. I would have sworn it was more recent than 2022. Glad to see you. Welcome back!

Thanks! Yes, you’re correct…the loss was in 2022 but I did manage to maintain through the first half of 2023 or so, then had a couple of false restarts 🫣 Not this time!

@SModa61 I don't think I was with you in the UAC Challenge, but I would LOVE to join you in this 20-min intentional exercise every.single.day thing. I think you may be remembering some of the exercise challenges we did in this group a few years back where I put up little photo headings and we made commitments to whatever kind of movement you were into. Count me in on your 20 min Challenge!

@UTMom81 - sounds great! I do remember those exercise challenges that were set up, but I did not remember that you were the coordinator. :)

Edit: I responded to the tagged post before scrolling down. I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I am glad you and your daughter were able to be with him. Continue to remember your time together <3
