@SurferGirl1982 ...Thankfully Catpuccino at age 8 has never had to take pills, or I would be severely battle scared.

My daughters live in feline controlled households and Middle Daughter has this knack for allowing feral rescues to break into her house and take charge. Her latest is a ginger Tom that after years of living in a heated igloo outside her kitchen window decided that indoors was a better option. Decision was helped by her DH standing for 20 minutes with the kitchen door open in a blinding snowstorm holding a can of tuna. Bibbs had several alley cat health issues that required pills. Think it's hard to give a lap cat meds ?? Try one you can't touch. Disguising pills in Churus works for Bibbs, but YMMV.
Catpuccino would probably only eat Churus if dipped in canned tuna juice [AKA kitty crack]. Cat also refuses to eat ANY kind of wet food since kittenhood.
I guess rubbing your kitty's meds into his ear could lead to him refusing to let you pet him at all, if you had to do it every day. 😾 "Crazy hooman"
Any cat people out here who have better ideas ??

12 pounds is not 20 pounds. Put down the wine order form. 😠

Is anyone else their worst critic!?! Reframing this would be “I am pleased with my overall efforts, remembering that I AM accomplishing my intermittent LA/AF goal and no longer strive for perfection.”

@SurferGirl1982 i’ve never had a cat, but had a dog that needed meds. When he wouldn’t take it wrapped in cheese or a greenie, (or worse, eat the yummy parts and spit out the pill😡) I would literally just hold his jaw open and shove it down his throat with my finger.

@Womona I am getting back on the AF horse. But I may allow myself an A day from time to time (just occasionally).

You sure do have a nice husband. He really seems to take good care of you.

Congratulations on the new boat! I bet you're excited!

That’s a nice compromise- to have alcohol as an occasional treat. Kind of like a calorie bomb meal or decadent dessert as an occasional treat. I’m striving for that as well!

My husband really is wonderful. Thanks on both counts!

Here we are wrapping up another long hot summer month! There has been so much effort from each of you, keep going with your personal LA goals! I also appreciate your support and LA friendship!

For accountability- I am ending the month a handful of days shy of my overall goal but still less A days by 32%.

Tonight my DH and I are going to the last summer concert in our small park which means great music, and people watching into the sunset. We will take our chairs and some cheese and crackers, along with some planned wine.

Have a great Holiday weekend! Take good care.

See you on the September thread!

@SurferGirl1982 ...you may not be stuck with all that unused Churu...after you are definitely sure Tinker is rejecting them, contact Chewy about returning them for a refund. Our family has found out that Chewy is awesome about returns / mistakes. Can't hurt, might help ??
So glad that your kitty decided to cooperate with getting her meds...better than toddlers at plucking our last nerve...😻

    August:
    AF days - 12
    A days - 19

I wish these numbers were reversed but, with all of the stress I've had this month, I'm pretty happy with these stats.
    See you all in September!
