    Mo - Realized after I saw Pip's answer that I didn't give you an answer to your question. The answer is "no," I haven't tried Etsy or just selling online, mostly because I'm lazy. I don't want to market things - but this kind of craft show works for me because all the marketing is in someone else's hands. I will offer my services next year to her, though, as there are five typos on her flyer, which she used to make her signs that are up and around all the neighborhoods:

    Hi ladies;
    I am wiped out. All I want to do is stay in bed. My sleep doctor said that working nights is tough on the body, especially when you have to hold a TBI patient who is muscular and taller than you. I will force myself to go to my mom's place, pay for this month, and go to the pharmacy. Rose is ready for an outing. If my phone is fully charged to walk, I will do my Step Aerobics. My weight loss Nurse Practitioner says that Methyl Folate will help my energy level. We will see about that. I will get dressed and get going. We will see if that works. If I had my way, I would sleep more or curl up with a book. I am still in my PJs, with a wrap-around my shoulders.
    I need to check about tickets to the Disney Christmas show. I am getting ready for my upcoming trip.
    I talked to DH; he hasn't yet purchased his airline tickets. I got mine a while ago. My friend Linette got
    hers, too. We are going to stay in our timeshare. I need Airline tickets for DS to come home for the
    holidays. I feel revived, drinking my tea as I type.

    Barbara, I just read a news report that this mom sold her two-year-old to a drug dealer named Carlos for meth. So far, the police have yet to find the two-year-old. They did arrest the mom. That is so sad.

    Dianna, welcome to our group. I am learning that we must prioritize moving our bodies on our to-do list. I'm not particularly eager to exercise around others except for walking or running. YouTube has a lot of workouts available if you do not want to work out at work. I do go to the gym to swim or use the machines. We will cheer you on.

    PIP, I firmly believe you can run past 69. Maybe you can reassess at 69. Did you sell your dress? I was thinking you could wear it on the cruise. We plan to go on an Alaskan cruise one day. I got a new double oven two years ago, a convection oven. As I was organizing, I found the directions. Maybe I can figure out how to use the stove. I know how to use my stovetop. My son is the only one who knows how to operate it. If not, I will get YouTube to advise me on how.;)

    Sue, did you do the chair yoga from the app with daily workouts? If so, how do you like it?

    Oh I probably could run after 69, I was going to stop at that age because he did, I don’t think I’ll be running that distance after that. That’s about a 2 hour run.

    Pip what a great gift for Kirby to give you and your friend. He sure is a keeper. However, I’d be scared to have him messing with electricity. Those different plugs are for different sized circuits/amps/voltages etc, Please consider hiring a licensed electrician.

    Lisa that $15 rechargeable hand held mixer is a bargain. Wish we had an Aldi’s here. I just sometimes need a hand mixer for recipes that are too small for the stand mixer. AND I want a rechargeable immersion blender as I donated the one with the PITA cord. The flyer made me laugh out loud. Our town’s annual holiday bazaar is peppered with signs pointing the way to the “VENDERS” . Makes me crazy as the event is held at the high school. Aaugh! I could only see 3 or maybe 4 oopses on the flyer… hmm.

    Well, the chiropractor was a bust. Seems that medicare won’t pay for an x-ray that’s taken in a chiropractor’s office. It would have cost me $125 out of pocket. Yes, I have a pain in my back that’s exacerbated when I stoop over. But my blood work has always come back good so I’m sure it’s not kidneys or liver. I’m 99.9% sure it’s arthritis. Since it’s not getting any worse, I’ll live, I don’t need to pay $125.

    After work took my car for inspection. Vince suggested I go to this place since it’s not an auto parts place so they won’t try to sell me something, like a new pair of tires. I probably need them and will get them before we go to FL, but I don’t think I need them right now.

    M – all I know is that the bees are very small. I hope they’re not baby bees. I was hoping there was something I could spray in the opening

    I texted the gal at BK saying that if the big-wig didn’t come this afternoon, I’m willing to work tomorrow if she thinks it’ll help. I would think so since they would like everything top-notch.

    Oh, they got a new soda dispenser today. Now they’ll only have 10 choices. I couldn’t count how many they had before. “What’s old is new again”. When I worked fast food in the stone age (when I was in high school) we only had 4 choices of drinks (not including the milkshakes)

    Mo – the convection oven can be used like an airfryer. I use it when I need to make a large quantity of things like french fries, tater tots, etc.

    Allie – still a love of lawn mowers but now with bottles????? lol

    One of the things I'm working on in ceramics is a platter for Colby for Christmas. Only I have to order the decal since I can't find one that's large enough. Bad thing is that the first decal ripped so I have to order another one. The good part is that I forgot to fire the platter so now I'll have time to do that.

    Discovered a new glutes exercise on YouTube yesterday. It really seems to do the business! Glutes seem to be the answer to everything. :* Back pain, hip pain, and, crucially, knee pain.
    I did a couple of sessions of the exercise yesterday and woke up at 5 today and did another one. Then did my usual routine. I certainly did well over half an hour, in total, of general strengthening. Just got weights and bands to do after breakfast.
    I'm not going to write today, but will copy and paste into my Word document. I've built up four writing sessions to copy over. Then it's hair and ablutions day and bed laundry.
    Tonight is French Circle - about the French Revolution. :D I know I won't feel like going out by bus in the cold and dark after eating, so we are going to splash out on an Uber. It won't be much more than the parking fee if we drove into the city. We will come back by free bus.
    John is driving up to outer Hove to watch Edie run the area cross country. He's been pondering on where to park, as there will be a lot of parents there. I hope he gets some good photos. Fortunately, it's late enough for him to be able to have lunch first.

    If you spray something in there, it might kill them which would be terrible.

    No bees, no food!


    Find an experienced bee-keeper to deal with them.

    Small bees are usually precious native bees.

    @PennyinTX ... I think you mentioned Achilles tendon issues.

    I tore both my Achilles tendons a number of years ago, and was discouraged from walking or cycling for about 6 months.

    Because I wanted to maintain some semblance of fitness, I focused on doing a lot of crunches and other abdominal exercises, and upper body weights.

    Is that a possibility for you?

    Good morning, my dears, from the chilly pre-dawn darkness of middle America,

    Up a bit early, but not too bad. Have a little more time with y'all because I've once again shut down all the news outlets. I stressed out way too much during these last few months, and I know better. The last time I shut it all down for survival, as I was so ill during the worst of it. This time, I did it for my mental health. Gave me time that I wanted back, and peace that I need. I'm back to checking the weather and that's about it. Listening to music a lot more while I'm making, or YouTube videos. Did spring for YouTube Premium so I miss most of the commercials that way.

    I've read everyone's posts, but not lots to say this morning. Welcome once again to everyone who's new. Don't feel you have to respond to each and every one of us. It's pert near impossible, anyway. Pick and choose as you please, and as you feel comfortable.

    Got on the elliptical yesterday for a few minutes, and pleased with that. The vertigo has stayed away since I backed off the yoga. Frustrating, but at least I know they're connected. Just lost my lap warmer, as the typing annoys Egg... she has departed in high dudgeon to find a warm spot without clickety-clack. Just terrible, being a cat. 😹🤷🏻‍♀️😛

    Time to get something done, my chickens... Will check in later.

    We are going walking in the early morning chill. At least the sun is up. Then dad has an appointment at the memory clinic.

    Reading No Grain No Pain. by Dr. Peter Osborne. I fill the niche for grains with more veggies. Last night DS wanted to go Chinese. I did have half stir fried veggies and half of one of their entrees that was not breaded and fried. Still a half pound this morning most likely because of the added salt. Still much better than the four pound gain I had eating Chinese before. I no longer have the fried Cream Cheese Wontons.

    Reading No Grain No Pain did get me to look at the dark chocolate, plain yogurt, and low sugar jam labels. It made me realize even though these are lower in sugar than milk chocolate, flavored yogurt, regular jam...the sugar still adds up. Ideally for woman we should only have 25 grams of sugar a day! An 8 oz glass of OJ has 21-23 grams with no fiber. Sugar is harder to reduce than the grains. Still I have found that now that I eat very little grain it helped me dramatically reduce the amount of sugar I eat. Fruit can also have sugar. The fiber in fruit helps to mitigate the sugar load.

    I also am looking more closely at the meat I still eat. Unfortunately it is unless it is grassfed. The meat is often fattened up with grain.

    One thing I like about the book is that he asks you to make note of how eating certain foods makes you feel. Everyone is different. Foods I enjoy others may not. I am trying to choose more bitters foods too because I know they are lower in sugar. Unfortunately plants are being made to be sweeter to cater to our sweet tooth. The book Eating on the Wild Side goes into this in depth.

    I also like that he believes in getting at the root cause of the pain. I like how he described inflammation. Inflammation is actually our friend in low amounts. Without it we would not heal from our injuries. It becomes a problem when it gets out of control and acts like a storm in our bodies causing pain and a whole host of illness. When we try to dampen the pain through pharma it can sometimes alleviate the pain in the short run only to stop the healing process and cause more problems in the long run.

    He is another doctor that believes in the healing properties of the right diet and lifestyle for you. Giving your body what it needs to manage inflammation in a positive manner creates miracles for your health.

    @exermom sometimes you can find a chiropractor that will work with you on payments. I had a great one who took $35 instead of his usual $50 when insurance ran out. Have you had a car accident in the past year? Sometimes injuries can show up much later. Car insurance will cover medical care if you are in the USA? Back pain is so awful. Heat and ice too you probably know. Ibuprofen and lidocaine patches. Feel better!
