Looking for a Small Accountability Group

I'm a mid-60's guy who is about to return to theological graduate school (January, 2025) and am looking to reduce by 15-20 lbs by mid-January. I'm hoping to connect with others in this space who are similarly motivated as an accountability team. I'm currently a LMFT in private practice developing both a mental health and a Christian justice-oriented organization.

Looking for a few folks to connect with around accountability, motivation, and stamina enhancement.

Hi, were you able to connect with a group? I'm also looking for this.

    Hi, Mike. Welcome to MFP.

Have you visited the Challenges board? There’s several groups there that do long and short term challenges. You usually set your own goal.

There’s no problem joining in the middle of a period.

That’s a good way to stay in touch with others with similar goals, see that they’re experiencing the same ups and down as you, and exchange tips.

For example, I’m currently in a 100 day challenge with folks who are mostly over 60.

Until MFP reinstates the Friends Newsfeed (which they tell us gone forever) that’s the simplest and easiest way.

You might also check the “groups” section, but in my own experience, groups are dead in the water.
