I Feel Fat and I'm Not Sure Why

I'm 182.5 now. Only one pound, but I'm on track to weigh in at 180 for my trip to Palm Springs 3 weeks from this past Friday. So hard not to be fixated on the numbers, and to be patient.
As NSVs go, I've lost an inch off my bust (*sigh*) an inch off my belly (yeah!!!!) and a half inch off my hips. I can wear XL bikini bottoms instead of 2XL.
Congrats - you're doing great0 -
An update, I'm now 179.5 now. My weight stalled for a while, but I was binging intermittently so while I didn't gain, it prevented any downward trend. I've been very consistent, even though I haven't lost any more inches except under the bust (!). I have a feeling that I'm losing off the "natural" waist (which I haven't been measuring, I've been measuring at the navel, which hasn't budged since my last post). The reason I say this is because I wear high waisted pants (size 18) and they are getting quite loose on me.
Most importantly, I don't feel fat anymore! 20.5 pounds isn't huge, but I don't think it's the pounds, it's the consistency and being able to get a grip on my binging. I can have a forkful or two of cake then not eat the rest. I can eat one or two "fun size" candy bars then stop. I've been working so hard to maintain a downward trend, I'm sick of the stall. I still have back rolls and have a way to go (I'm 5 foot four btw) but I'm feeling energetic and positive and have my eye on the prize. 175 by New Year's Day is well within my grasp. My UGW is 125 by New Year's Day 2026.8 -
Lisa, what a wonderful update! It's great that the temporary weight stall has broken, but IMO extra great that you're getting a binging habit reined in. That's a huge victory right there: Great work!
I'll be looking forward to reading your next accomplishments!4 -
Thanks Ann! Meet me here on New Year's Day! I'm determined to be 175! Incidentally, that was my "low"
last year before I yo-yo 'd right back to 200. Reaching 175 will be a big accomplishment for me, but even bigger, busting past that. I can't remember the last time I was below 175. 2025 is going to be awesome.

Weigh-in this morning! Drum roll please.......178! One and a half pounds down. A little fast, but I'll continue to keep an eye on the scale to make sure I consistently don't go beyond a pound a week. If I lose a pound a week, I'll be 175 by Xmas day!
NSV, although I still have squeezable fat in the back, my side "back rolls" have gotten considerably smaller. I predict that by New Year's Day I'll be needing a new bra size.5 -

That's wonderful, Lisa! IMO, you're so smart to keep the loss rate moderate, and focus on sustainable habits. That's the path to best thriving, if you ask me. Wishing you continuing success . . . and expecting it - betting on it - given how wonderfully you're doing. :flowerforyou:3

I had a similar feeling after about the same weight-loss:

I'm glad I kept going, I feel so much better after losing 70lbs in total.
This is a really helpful link! I especially like the idea of adding fitness goals. I lost 20-25 lbs and gained about half back and now I am recommitting.2 -
If it helps, I've lost about 200lbs and I still sometimes feel fat, and shocked when I can fit into "regular" clothes (vs 3-4xl).4
