Carnivore for health

I'm Brigitte....I've done keto to ketovore and now carnivore. I'm a type 2 diabetic with for 6 years now. I've been prescribed 5 different diabetic medications and I've had horrible symptoms from them.
I've done tons of research and I understand that for some people, me..any small carb, greatly raises my blood sugar.

So, with Fitness Pal, I'm going to go carnivore to help bring my health back in check.

I have 50 lbs to lose but more importantly, my A1c needs to come down. I'm open to any conversation about carnivore. I'm also going to start weight training to help become stronger and it also helps to lower blood sugars.

Make sure your in contact with your doctor before you start carnivore simply because of the medication you might be on because it's going to greatly effect your medication, which will need to be reduced and can be quite concerning if not dangerous is you don't. Considering the switch from ketovore it should make the transition rather easy. I would stay away from dairy for the time being and skip the diet pop. good luck.

I started on November 19th. I have lost half a pound every day since then. We (hubby and I) stick to Meat, eggs, and butter (we don't use a lot of butter; we enjoy bacon grease). We do use hard cheese just for a flavor change, but not often. I am excited to see how far this journey takes us. Good luck on your journey.

How’s it going for you? I’m going to start a carnivore diet Monday and getting ready for the challenge. I have my diabetes under control but I’ve been insulin resistant since I was young. I’m curious to see how it will change my health and help with weight loss.

I've been doing the carnivore thing since Sept. & down 24 lbs so far. I'm finding ketosis is a bit challenging in my 60s. Anything more than 10 carbs in a day kicks me out so ... carnivore it is! The Christmas temptations are manageable at this point but I have 3 parties this weekend. Hoping to stay strong through it!

There's a guy, Dave Mac, that has a you tube channel called "The No Carb Life" that then inspired him to ask a simple question for his guests which is "how did you find carnivore" after his particular journey.

He's interviewed over 1000 people now giving their n:1 experiences as it relates to carnivore and their health.

This video is one example and they all have a similar story. Erica is a mid 30's woman that has been a high level athlete and now coaches soccer and if you need some inspiration this is a decent example of Dave's portfolio which I just finished watching. I've personally watched quite a few, over 100 which is just part of my personal journey gathering data on nutrition. I have a personal interest because I've been keto for over a dozen years, so I do find these interesting and supports my own health improvements from a ketogenic diet and carnivore is basically a ketogenic diet on steroids. Enjoy. :)
