Yay! Keeping my weight down. Walked for an hour and a half today. Will walk for two and a half hours tomorrow. Then will try to get into the gym over the holidays.
Wishing everyone a great rest of the week! 😃5 -

Like so many here , I am still stalled. Its very annoying but I keep thinking, at least I am not packing it on every week.. There was a time this was happening, just prior to be getting on this journey..and it was a terrible feeling. It was like my body was completely going haywire and all I could do was just sit back and watch the train wreck. We aren't there .. and I don't plan to be..
I am still doing all the things I am supposed to be doing (or atleast trying) and hoping for a Christmas miracle!

I had gone in for labs yesterday morning. Since I have been on GLP's for a bit I needed to get those done and make sure everything is normal.
Thinking about bumping up to maintenance calories for a few weeks if I can to see if that changes things with my metabolism. Its a scary thought because there will be a gain for a bit until I adjust (from everything I am reading) In doing some reading on what I can possibly do on this stall beyond what I am already doing, it could be that I have been in a deficit for so so long, my system is working the opposite way of what I need it to do and my metabolism has actually slowed.. I suppose its possible .

Well, it’s going well! I’m half way to my goal. I hope I don’t gain much over the holidays. I don’t want to undo the progress I’ve made. I want to make banana bread this evening and freeze it for Christmas Eve. I have more baking/cooking to do. 3 loaves of Finnish pulla and a Finnish beet salad called rosolli. The rest of the cooking will be on Christmas.
Happy Wednesday everyone! 😊4 -

137. I saw 136.8 for a second. It’ll be there by the end of the month. I’ve made my usual Christmas cake which I love, but I won’t get to eat that much because the family love it too. I won’t go crazy over Christmas. I don’t like all the chocolates or desserts and the xmas meal itself is just a fancy Sunday roast in the UK with a few side dishes like pigs in blankets which I can take or leave. No big deal.3

I still haven't worked out - I've pretty much been working non-stop and I can feel it in my bones. I need to move tonight. That being said, my other half has come down with something (brought it back from a business trip), and I know I'm fighting it off too. Kind of the last thing I needed right now, but not much I can do about it.
@dannytrees1 My knees have been bad for years (like 30 years at this point), so I too have to be careful how I twist, stomp, climb, etc. I overdid it with aerobics, which had a lot of side to side stepping (and I did it repeatedly, because it was sooo fun). Apparently side to side motion stresses the front shins, especially if done repeatedly. I'll modifiy the exercise when I get back to it, but ffs, it's so stupid when I WANT to do this, and the body is like, NOPE.
This month is challenging, so I am so proud that everyone is sticking with it, still weighing and posting, still going. In years past, between Nov and Dec, I have often put on 5+ lbs. It's so easy to do. So give yourself some credit here. Know that all of us here are just trying to get through the holidays, still have some fun (please have SOME fun), but come out on the other side still working at this. We've got this!3 -
The last 2 weeks have been tough. I had a horrible cold and still can’t get over the cough and exhaustion. Only silver lining is that I lost 6 lbs, so I’m trying to keep that off even without exercising.
Everyone have a great day!!5 -

For me the holiday parties have now died down completely until the 24th so this is good for maintenance or even a bit more progress. I’m also still having water weight issues from a hormonal treatment that won’t ease up for another month or two. Have to be patient! I’m impressed with everyone on here sticking with it despite the stalling. Keep going!

My good ole scale can play games with me as much as it wants,
But I like today’s numbers 👻
@ManifestingToday your are right
I agree… the key to success here is to have fun, and come in every day
And the good part is we will have a head start for Newyears
I’m invited out for Christmas dinner, so that day may put the scale little higher… but that’s the fun part.
Have a great day everyone… we are all doing just fine.

Day by day doing what I can….moved the scale all over the bathroom floor this morning-ridiculous! Didn’t get the reading I was hoping for. Very interesting I have toned over the last couple of months with consistent workouts but the lbs. want to hang on. I’m thinking lean muscle mass? I think my body has recomposed with optimizing protein as well.
I’m also confused how many calories I should be having to lose-using all the calculators available but I’m short and typically have 1300-1600 a day depending upon exercise. Any comments are

Here’s what worked for me! Calculate your weight loss calorie limit using an online calculator. Spend a month tracking food intake. If the scale does not budge, lower your calorie limit by 100 the next month and repeat the process. Keep doing this month by month until you have a month of progress. Also keep your exercise levels the same throughout. It takes patience and consistency, but it’s the only way to know what works specifically for your body. For me, it was the third month where the scale started moving really consistently and I knew I had found my “magic calorie number” (December notwithstanding).

Did not weigh in yesterday or today but will tomorrow. Somewhat stressful week with a death in the extended family and daughter in law's car getting totaled instead of being fixable. On the upside someone brought us some cookies and there we not good. No worries about overindulging in those LOL.
Happy Friday all!3 -
"Under" on calories and STILL gain? CICO may be the driving force behind weight-loss, but there ARE other factors... 🙌2 -

I actually was not totally surprised, I have a valid explanation , which doesn't make it any easier to see but does help not let my mind spiral too bad over it.
First I had dinner with friends on Wednesday night and ended up enjoying three (yep three) glasses of white wine over a 5 card draw poker game along with some yummy food that was likely a bit high in salt and calories. I was sick from the wine that night because alcohol and GLP meds DO NOT PLAY together well and I haven't drank that much alcohol in the last 8 months.
Second, I woke up Thursday morning with an allergic reaction to some new facial cream product I had started. I currently have a very swollen face, eyes, and almost a chemical burn on my cheeks. I look ridiculous and feel worse. I am on a high dose of antihistamines and feeling really dehydrated no matter how much fluid I take in.
This product was supposed to be for sensitive skin, so I didn't see this coming. I always have to be careful with cosmetic products because of my sensitivities. Lucky me.

I actually did workout yesterday! Unfortunately I slept like crap, and I was drinking water overnight (we are fighting off something), so I am guessing lack of sleep, plus adding water overnight meant nothing better on the scale this morning. I'm not going to stress on this. I'm not snacking/grazing. And I've been nursing my other half as he's a bit worse off than I am.
But I'm not going to lie, if a pizza showed up right now, I'd inhale it.
@tishsmith101 I am so sorry for your loss, and my sympathies to you and your extended family. And separately, I hope your daughter is ok - cars (though expensive), can be replaced. Just hope she is alright.
@HappyDonkey75 Sending hugs and best wishes that all this chaos calms down for you immediately. I hope the antihistamines have kicked in, and you're feeling much better soon.
@canadamarie, I really liked your advice to @Michieb125 - I need to try that. Thank you!
Happy Friday, friends! I hope your weekend is one of relaxation and calm. Enjoy!4 -

I indulged in some caramel popcorn last night and had a late night snack ontop of that! so not surprised by the fluctuation. I got a 40 minute walk in today. Not bad, but I really have to think about hitting the gym. My appetite has increased and I'm not getting as much exercise. Not a good combination!

@dannytrees1 - wow your almost there ! nice work.. and all near Christmas with all the temptations
@ManifestingToday - I am with you on the pizza, its been a long while since I indulged because I have no control when it comes to that.. appreciate all your kindness and encouragement . The face swelling is starting to come down but its like a really bad chemical burn on my skin as well . So painful.. I guess with all the swelling , it did take the wrinkles away. LOL but not how I wanted it to work , that is for sure..

Curious to know how others measure their weight goals. If let’s say your goal is 179 that month, what does success look like? Average of 179? Hitting 179 at least once? Or being at that number the last day of the month?
Of course weight is only one of many metrics to measure success.2
