Now I understand more, having friends here really doesn't make any sense. I looked at the 'groups' but many (too many) don't seem to be active anymore. Maybe I start my own group. "Now or never and never is not an option" :-) or "Embrace your new lifestyle" because this is really what is going on. For the first time in my life, I am serious about losing weight and I don't care how slow or fast it happens, neither do I care how long it will take. This is a forever thing. My blood pressure is now normal. I called my doctor and gloated and bragged.
My glucose levels are out of prediabetic range. It feels like I am getting my life back. I am still so big, but smaller. Nobody notices the weight loss and how could they? I wear tunics and elastic pants.
I criticized my husband's dinner yesterday (which I had prepared lol). It was too unhealthy and it had unnecessary calories, he went for seconds. Who does that? (I did, almost with every meal or I overfilled my plates.)
I walk easier now. I have absolutely no sugar cravings. I haven't ordered it, which was my downfall. I have prepared meals in the fridge and I am experimenting with new recipes. I feel excited.
I will post in this forum and I will participate more. As someone said, perhaps I will greet some of the newbies here because it does sting(k) when nobody answers when you introduce yourself.
Now I feel at home here at MFP. I hope they bring the friendship newsfeed back because, without it, the whole friendship thing doesn't make much sense.
You guys inspired me and motivated me! Thank you for sharing so much of yourself and your stories.

If it helps you. I can answer your first question. You found my post on your daily quest to make an advertisement for your group.
And now, you have made sure that I will never join. I wish you luck and all the best.0 -
Way to go on 20lbs down. Keep up the good work.1

Can you explain what you mean here? Looks like they invited you to their challenge to support you.3 -

Thank you so much. I am now at 32 lbs, and while it feels surreal, it also becomes more of a 'forever thing' every day.2 -

That's what I was thinking. What an odd reaction.2 -

I got five invitations in two days, which is a bit much. When I looked at other posts, I saw that this group sent the same invite to pretty much everybody. That's why the intro "Not sure how I found your post" brought out the little devil in me, who just can't shut up.2 -

@chicbuc Nice to see you back. I had a bad experience with this person also. I tried to support her because she was complaining of having no friends. She later sent me a friend request. I accepted. I sent her a very nice post. It started with "This is you friend SurferGirl". I mentioned that she seemed angry. And she attacked me (just like a junkyard dog). I may be a bit sensitive, but I was hurt and offended. I've had MFP delete my posts since then. But, my posts were nothing but helpful.
I don't want to get in trouble with MFP. But, why is she here if she wants no help. You know my story (for the most part). And, I welcome any advice or constructive criticism that I can get. I honestly think someone should report her to MFP because she is very rude and disrespectful.
See you in our other thread "December".1 -
Congratulations on such smart choices and acknowledgment of things that are working for you! Great result!!!!0

Don't give up, you can do this. People just get busy! Reach out to others and don't worry if they are too busy to answer. It's a crazy busy world these days. Never feel alone. You are taking care of you. You have to love yourself and pamper yourself. Take care and say hi anytime!0

I am no longer alone here. I have made some friends. I have even founded a group for others like me "Determined Losers on a Mission."
I am almost certain I will see a 40-pound weight loss by Christmas. I have been sticking to my plan with small adjustments (life happened) now.
I am still going strong it's now day #105. Still gluten-free and sugar-free and dairy-free. I still enjoy fruits and not candy. I learned to read labels and I get excited about new recipes. Still no diet, just a lifestyle change.
In January I will be under 300 pounds and I can't wait to see a number that will start with a "2".
Start weight 9/5 348 lbs
Last known weight 313 lbs (Monday I believe)
I even got a new scale, which showed a few pounds more than the old one and I didn't get discouraged.
I wish everybody who has answered or silently cheered for me a very Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year.2 -
❤️Congrats! Since MFP changed how the community interacts, it’s extremely challenging to ‘feel’ any kind of support. But if there’s a will, there’s a way. Your post caught my attention and I thought I’d add my two cents in. 😉
