I had pizza. Tomorrow's number will be different. And I'm good with that. We used to have pizza every week - sometimes twice a week. It's been several weeks (I don't know how many), but I consider that a win. And I got it out of my system.
@canadamarie Right now, success to me is an overall downward trajectory. I'd like to see a pound or two loss every month by the end of the month, but it depends when the end of the month hits. With menopause in play, it's cycle roulette. So I guess if I hit the goal number, bounce up, but return to the downward trend, for me I consider that success.
@HappyDonkey75 Did the doctors have any clue what you could have reacted to? Something akin to a chemical burn is awful. When you're feeling up to it, do some web searches to see if anyone else has had a reaction like this to that product; this is super scary that this happened to you. Sending good energy for continued healing.
@dannytrees1 I'm so happy for you - you're so close to that Dec goal!
@capewrathultra, you can do this! Keep going, friend!
@Kupla71 I LOVE caramel corn! I would have indulged with you on that one!
@cupcakesandproteinshakes You're doing great. We all get the sodium bomb from time to time. You've got this.
Have a great rest of the weekend, everyone.1 -
138.2. @ManifestingToday. Thanks. I’m maintaining for sure which I am choosing to reframe as a win during this period as I would usually gain a few pounds. each pound off requires intentional work at this stage for me.
@canadamarie I log on happy scale so I just look for a downward trend for the month to call that a loss . At the moment it says .2 pound a week. Well that is close to maintaining but if I am consistent then it would be a 10 pound loss over a year. I went for a check up with the nurse and she said I had lost 4 pounds since I last weighed in there in 2023. I know this is a marginal number, but given the tendency women have to gain during menopause, I’m celebrating.2 -

I got the scale to go lower, but it also swung higher. I went with the middle number. This was quite a big sodium bomb, so I won't be surprised if it ticks a little higher tomorrow (sometimes day 2 is worse), but we have salad and chicken for dinner, and I'm doing a shake for lunch. Next big meal is Dec 25 (Just preparing for the number), and whatever this month ends at, is what it is. We made it through Halloween, Thanksgiving and the December holidays without putting on 5+, and that is already a win.
Have a great Sunday, everyone.4 -

A goal success for me, would be to hit that 179 on the last day of the month.
I don’t think it will happen this month… there is always January ⛄️
There must be pizza in the air.
I stopped by my favorite pizza shop for just a slice…. They had no single slices, just Mediums 🙀so I took the medium and spread it out for 2 days in the fridge.
Good part was I never noticed any real change on the scale.
Have a great Sunday everyone
Merry Christmas

@ManifestingToday - I haven't bothered to all the doctor , it's been coming down but I talked to a nurse who has been in dermatology for years, and its likely due to a really bad allergic reaction to the anti aging compounds in the product ( retin A, and whatever else was in there) I have always had to be careful so I should have known better. I do plan on contacting the company after the holidays to let them know their blend really isn't suitable for all "sensitive" skin types.. :Its slowly getting better but very slowly.. eyelids still puffy and skin is really dried out, like the worst case of chapped/windburn skin I have ever experienced.
Need to do a workout today, been two days with nothing.. eek2 -

First day of Winter yesterday, and a lot of activity on this thread. The festivities have definitely started here with family popping by over the weekend. I love hanging with my loved ones during the holidays. Made sugar cookie bars tonight, divine I must say. Trying to maintain this week!

136.8. There we go. Pleased with that number. I’m away from home for a week without a scale. It’ll be fun to see if I can keep the trend going down without the discipline of a daily weigh in. My plan is to focus on protein and veggies; usual breakfast, daily walk and a you tube work out every day. Realistically I won’t be able to get to a gym. Happy holidays to all on this thread.3

Dec 19 200 I guess at least it’s not a gain. Sigh. 6 days to go.
Dec 24 201 I think it’s all the caffeine (soda/coffee) that has made the number go up. Really active at work right now but need the caffeine to keep up the energy there and then to do everything that is needed to be done at home. Friends here this weekend so will be lots of food and alcoholic beverages. Will try to eat more veggies and fruits than junk food. Have a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!2 -
Merry Christmas, my MFP family! I will be back with a vengeance on Thursday. May this Christmas bring happiness and peace to you. All my best wishes to you this Christmas.4 -
