@warmjellyfish When were you at Kennedy Space Center? Did you work there?

You're doing great @tarun_yadavA . Thanks for the sloth pictures. They are such interesting creatures. I'll be on pins and needles until I hear about your safari experience. Wow. That does sound scary and, I must say, in that first picture, you look pretty scary yourself. LOL I'm not a snakes and spiders person, so that would have been a hard no from the get go for me. I'm glad you made it out alive with a tale to tell.

Nice running @Teresa502 . and you are welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed the race report.

    Great run @kgirlhart !

Welcome back @chris_in_cal !!! And Merry Christmas! We missed you!

@tarun_yadavA Snakes and spiders is what everyone wanted to see? Let me guess, your wife passed on the night safari? At least you all made it back to tell the tale :).

Saw everything but glad to be alive

Was the guide named Crazy Carlos by chance? We had one that latched on to us as we were hiking. In the end he took us to a beautiful waterfall, some lunch spot and we ended up giving him a ride to his house at the end of the day. Glad it all worked out well for you all also!

Nah it was just a tourist trip. Early 2000s I think. Loved the exhibits and launch pads they had plus one particular amusement ride which was the shuttle launch. It really had you on your back like the real shuttle. The shuttle was still in ops then. Would love to go back to visit.

Nice run @SummerSkier ! I hope you enjoyed your day. hahaha about the catnip.

    Great run @Teresa502 .

@WarmJellyfish I've been on that ride. It's very jarring, if I recall correctly. I'm sure the real thing is worse.

Nice run @Laurz9191 . I think we need a picture.

@Laurz9191 that is a LOT!!!!! You are killing it this year for sure. I was just texting with my running bestie Marcia H and we were talking about what our goals would be for next year. Both of us decided that we would aim for 100 per month miles and if we did more that would be gravy. But we also want to make sure to do other cross training so I am going to see if I can do my meager weight training daily again.... 10 mins... I did really good with that for a few months but when I tried to increase it I got demotivated. So sticking with the 10 may be just what I need to do. 5 more days in Dec left to crush it!

@quilteryoyo your neighbor's dog is gorgeous. But that rooster!!! 😳😳😳 I have heard of mean ones before and hope that your pecks heal quickly with no side effects. Sounds like your back was just a mild tweak from sitting and stretching wrong while wrapping.

Wow @Laurz9191 . That is a huge increase in mileage. Congratulations!

Great goals for next year @SummerSkier . Yes, I think the back was a minor tweak, thankfully. I think Esther is a really pretty dog. She is a runner too. If she were mine, she'd be my running buddy for sure. Tippy will run, but she is a sprinter, not a long distance type. AND, that rooster...it was his talons that got me, not pecking. I didn't even see him yesterday. Hopefully, he will stay away from now on.

I also tweaked my lower back yesterday during my weight training. It wasn’t bad at first but got progressively painful as the day progressed. I tried to sleep in a flat position last night and when I woke up it felt much better – plus I’ve been taking Advil to reduce the inflammation around it. I ran 5 miles this morning and if I concentrated on not over extending my stride, it wasn’t painful at all unless I unexpectedly stepped into a hole in the pavement. Then I may have grunted out a loud just a little bit.

Esther is so pretty @quilteryoyo. How does Tippy feel about sharing your attention with Esther?

Your Christmas gathering sounds lovely @ContraryMaryMary – especially the sunshine and warm weather!
