    @Chapter_3 Your family photos are wonderful and I'm sure the wedding was as well! I'm so happy for you all! I live in Knoxville, TN now, but Hickory where I grew up is just the other side of Asheville/Marion/Swannanoa area in the foothills--still about 1.25 hours west of Charlotte.

    Backstory & Progress

    Lived in 140-150s throughout adulthood. HW 172lbs in 2010. Lost 30lbs in 2014 to 128lbs. Crazy🎢 for 10years. Joined JGMTD R231 7/31/23. Lost 15lbs 8/1 -11/23. Said goodbye FOREVER to the 🎢! I’ve named my maintenance journey “#HSF” & “Healthy Strong Fit” on my way to 📣#bestshapeofmylife

    I pledge to prioritize each of these #HSF choices EVERY DAY of Dec:

    1. P:E: Protein g greater than 1:1 vs. Energy g. [Pg > (Cg+Fg)] (and cals = avg. maintenance).I will continue this CLEAN nutrition plan. It is supposed to support muscle gain with fat loss while 🏋🏼‍♀️🚶‍♀️🤸🏼‍♀️ ⏱️🎾. I will continue to track NSVs/macros/ activities, etc. to learn about my body.
    2. 🙏📝📚🧐 - I will continue to pray, journal, research. This is my aspect of “leveling up” because I am nothing without my relationship w/Jesus Christ. I’ve also grown into loving/enjoying learning about my body & healthy aging. Replacing BAD habits w/ GOOD habits is a journey in itself. This practice helps me stay present /mindful of many decisions/ thoughts/ actions that impact not only nutrition, but improves self-talk & interactions w/others.
    3. 🏋🏼‍♀️this is my biggest challenge. I still don’t like it. Not one bit. I have some days that it clicks, but it’s a daily struggle. Living “fake it till I make it”… Faking my “identity”. My hope is that some 🏋️‍♀️version eventually becomes a healthy habit. I’m working on a minimum of 10-minute “🏋🏼‍♀️snacks” 2-3x per day, 5x per round. Gosh, how I wish someone, ANYONE would have told me in my earlier years that 🏋🏼‍♀️is the key to fat-loss / maintaining - NOT cardio. I was brainwashed.
    4. Healthy Aging - includes mobility, flexibility, balance and agility. While I do stretch every morning plus “stretch snacks”… I want to up this game… I added ⏱️“sprints” (which is NOW only fast jogging… 😂) and plyometrics (celebrating a 2” vertical jump) 😂. I read to “sprint” and jumping is vital to joint-health as we age…..
    5. I have much “work” to do with family relationships. Won’t detail here, but it’s a challenge & my overall health will not flourish without this being acknowledged and improved. Mind, body & spirit are connected. I won’t be fully content until I reconcile this part of my life.
    6. Sleep- This is a big one. I’m usually fast asleep by 8:30-9PM. I can’t stay up later…. I love getting up early. I’m good with a 5AM wake up but I want to sleep soundly through the night. Will continue to prioritize this key component to health and well-being…
    7. Have fun… lighten up … & give myself permission to be spontaneous. (This is THE HARDEST)!!!!

    12/22 ⚖️131.0 ✅🚶‍♀️10k. Just jumped on ⚖️ real quickly to get going for today. I will make a more “ENGAGED” entry later.❤️😍 I look forward to tracking and spreadsheet- Just cannot do it today and will start tomorrow. Simple uptick from being out late last night. Cruddy sleep. TBH I thought 130 yesterday was low, but I’m good with 131 if that sticks because it was 1lb lost R281. Good nutrition yesterday. Good choices @ dinner. Small portions. One cocktail. Dinner went beautifully and I’m looking forward to cold but gorgeous weather - And celebrating with my son and his new bride! ONWARD! Big day ahead!

    Not bad for two stressful but crazy fun days. Reviewing past 48 hr nutrition I’m quite pleased. Enjoyed my usual Sunday bacon & eggs for breakfast. Enjoyed LOTS of Champagne, two chocolate covered strawberries & FOUR Mexican Wedding cookies @ reception …. No other food. 💯 % carbs. 😂. I ENGAGED by purposely prioritizing VISITING and kept my DISTANCE from temptation. Skipped dinner cuz exhausted. I’ll post a couple of photos soon.

    desolate_angel I am so sorry for your loss. It was horrifying just reading it. Our pets definitely become part of our family and the loss is as huge as any other major loss. I am so glad that you were able to communicate by phone. This must have been comforting for him. Prayers to your entire family.

    12/24-190.6-(Trend Weight: 192.0)- This is the 3rd time in 7 days that I’ve landed exactly on this number. Body seems happy here but I am NOT. Today I will travel to go get my baking and fudge making supplies before the stores close this evening. Our family party is Saturday so I’ve been waiting as long as possible to actually bake. Otherwise, well, we all know I don’t have any willpower. Not yet anyway! So T-Minus 3 lbs. with 2 lbs to go on my mini goal. I don’t expect to hit it by the end of the year but I’m staring it down and on it’s heels! Dinner will be out today so that will not help the cause. Just trying to hang in there as best as I can, even if it’s by a thread. Merry Christmas Eve to everyone who celebrates His Birth.

    12/25-193.4-(Trend Weight: 192.1)- It’s not unusual for me to gain several pounds after a restaurant meal, especially when traveling. Sometimes most of it will come right back off after 24 to 48 hours. I don’t expect that will easily happen this time as I’ve entered the baking section of my holidays and our Family Feast is on Saturday following all the baking and candy making. I imagine I’ll make most of my progress between Dec 29th and New Years if there is any to be made. I will try to stay sensible as often as I can. Tonight is movie night with my son. We will watch 2 Christmas movies choosing one each. There will be festive snacks. I want to make Christmas Day/night special even if it’s only just the two of us until Saturday. He is kind of stuck on traditions anyway due to the autism and the difficulty he has changing things up. I will try not to overeat. I will also try to watch my BLT’s (bites, licks, tastes) while baking today and in the coming days. No promises though. Just keeping it honest.
