    -4 chicken Breast
    _ 1 -20oz can of pineapple's drained
    - 1/4 cup of soy sauce
    - 1 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)

Cook on low for 3-4 hours or High for 2 hrs

Now, this is something I would cook......

Just a query.......is the pineapple crushed or pieces?

I would actually cut the chicken into pieces.......Going shopping tomorrow and will cook this....

In the crockpot now and it smells delicious!! Did anyone thicken up the juice to make a sauce to pour over rice? I am tempted to try it.
  • I am inspired by your weight lost!!! It's amazing.

It' smelled way better than it tasted. I used low sodium soy sauce, not sure if that was it or not but it wasn't good.

1tbsp of 30% lower salt soya sauce is 880mg of sodium, you are only supposed to have 1600mg a day so the amount of sodium that would be in this recipes is off the chart! EEk I make sure to watch my sodium! Other than that this recipe sounds good!

I'm definitely NOT a big fan of soy sauce of any form... MFP suggests 2,500 mg of sodium for me, but I try to keep mine lower, just under 2,000 mg. You do need some sodium, but I've never heard of anybody suggesting it as low as 1,600 mg! Is that a minimum suggestion? Where did you get that number?

The new guide lines I saw were 1500 mg of sodium a day down from 2000 mg. I have high blood pressure so I am watching my sodium. /quote]
