I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out since we have our Grandson every morning. He's 2 years old and a pistol!!

Weight has been all over the place on my daily weigh-ins this past week but there are no more festive treats left in the house so hoping to push on next week.4 -

Life has been crazy since 2017 but 2023-2024 was particularly rough with moving both our home and dog training business. In 2017 I was in my best shape since giving birth to my baby! He's 23 now lol. I reached 135lbs then and really felt great! Now I'm 177.7! Lost 1pound since 1/1/25. I've use mfp for about 10yrs.
I'm tracking my food but also implementing intermittent fasting 8/16 and participating in no alcohol January.

I am proud of myself for the effort I made to take accountability for my past eating habits. I moved 3 hours away from my hometown in September 2024 to attend school and I picked up unhealthy eating habits.

I have lost 47 lbs over the past two years and my goal weight is now within reach. I hope to achieve that goal maybe around July with one pound a week of wt loss. A combination of low carb no sugar eating, fasting, and walking is what works for me. Have a great start to the New Year and let's lose some lbs.

Pleased with that Have been trying really hard this week and managed to stay in 400-600 calorie deficit each day. Though I know it's going to start getting harder as I have so much to lose, so it always starts coming off quickly and then plateaus!4 -

Total loss for January: My first success of 2025 is the first full week of 2025. Here's to holding steady! I am at least back within my ABSOLUTE maintenance range again. I'll get back to my IDEAL range at some point. Slow and steady is best, and I'm still STICKING TO IT. I'm down 0.2 pounds for the year because this monthly challenge started near the end of January - I was already going down. Woo hoo!

Week 2 check in.
Down with flu this week and mostly resting in bed. Iβve looked back at my weight loss journey over the past 8 months since starting in June 2024. Seems that apart from the first month which was higher, Iβve been losing between 2.5-3.5 lbs each month, on the lower side the past couple of months. Not great progress but at least, it has been consistent!

Admittedly I did not log my foods yesterday and was likely over on carbs and calories but I didnβt think the day went too bad! Did something catch up with me? I got as low at 192.0 during this past week.! I dunno, but you can be sure I will be logging everything and staying on point today! I donβt feel like chasing my tail for any longer than I have to.

I'm not super happy with this week's loss, I maintained a 2683kJ/641cal daily average deficit since last weigh in. I will say though, I've had a very carby week compared to last.
I may start doing a daily weigh/week avg Weight in addition to weekly weight.4
