Round 284
January 11 - 20, 2025
Please join us starting on 1/11 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 284.
Thank you, Carolyn (@Chapter_3)! Let’s all STAY ENGAGED!
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share. Make the board your own - track what is important for YOUR JOURNEY.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.
If you feel your post is too lengthy, you can add spoilers to temporarily hide the information. It is readily available by tapping the SPOILER bar. To create a Spoiler just type or copy [ Spoiler ] xxx [ /Spoiler ] Omit the spaces within the brackets and put your information where I have xxx
👍👍This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE

Hi, I'm Amanda! 5'2" 39F in Virginia, making my not-so-triumphant return this round. Between DH's birthday, the holidays, and our Puerto Rico vacation I am way off track! I have my half marathon in 3 weeks and I am not feeling ready. I probably ran 3 times over the course of 3 weeks, eesh! Back to it now and looking forward to rejoining everyone this round! I did BRAVELY step on the scale yesterday, the day after we got back, and I had hit 132, a 4-pound gain from my last logged weight of 128 lbs on the 23rd. Thankfully, I dropped a lot of that water and was at 129.6 this morning, so maybe the actual damage wasn't too extensive. Hoping by the start of this round on the 11th I'll be down a bit more!
My goals are:
* Follow my running training plan exactly, which I think will require training 8/10 days.
* Core 7/10 days (5 days a week)
* Lift weights 3/10 days (twice a week)
* Alcohol-free 10/10 days (doing most of dry January except for the first 6 days I was on vacation )
* Lose 1 pound from whatever I weigh on the 11th7 -
I'm here, @quiltingjaine! Just barely, but still here!! Thank you as always!3

Hey all, have just come back to MFP after a lengthy break and a lot of weight increase over the last 5 years, while dabbling in Weight Watchers & Noom.
Weight 99.2kg today.
Main goal for the 10 days is to log all food every day.
My goal for Jan & Feb is to walk 10k+ steps in 5 out of 7 days in a week. I have a mostly desk-bound job so it is a push. Have managed to implement walks in my breaks plus walked to work today as it's the first nice day since we returned to work! And am making multiple trips to perform a task that involves walking, where I'd usually combine them. it definitely helps for spending less time on the treadmill if it's raining out.
2nd goal for Jan & Feb is 4 workouts a week.
Will update! Thanks all6 -
Hi everyone, this is my second challenge in a row. I hope to continue at least until August (my wedding).
I’m 35 years old and 164 cm. I work from home, so my life is pretty sedentary but I started going gym 3 times a week since 30 December 2024.
I have tried to lose weight since my teenage years, but since then I gained 40+ kgs. I lost significant weight twice in my life. First time, I changed my understanding of eating healthy and lost around 15 kgs in a year. Second time, I used Saxenda (GLP-1 med), I don’t remember how much I lost exactly but around 10-15 kgs but when I stopped using Saxenda I immediately gained it all back and more in a few months. So this time, I again focus of changing my mindset. I need to lose weight for improving my health and potential fertility issues due to PCOS since I have been considering trying for a baby at the second half of this year.
SW: 103.3 kg (31 December 2024)
GW (until August): 85 kg
SW RND 284: 102.3 kg
GW RND 284: 101 kg
