Got another walk in on a hot and windy afternoon (35C or 95F).
On walking ... Strava has a walking challenge each month.
The month is not finished yet, so I'm hoping to add a few more km, but here's where I am now.
And yes, studies do indicate that walking (and exercise in general) can be a factor in reducing the risk of dementia.
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/199484
"Findings suggest that walking is associated with a reduced risk of dementia. Promoting active lifestyles in physically capable men could help late-life cognitive function."
https://www.health.harvard.edu/mind-and-mood/walking-linked-to-lower-dementia-risk
"Compared with people who didn't walk much at all, people who walked about 9,800 steps per day (about five miles) were 51% less likely to develop dementia. People who walked just 3,800 steps per day (about two miles) were about 25% less likely to develop dementia."
Experts Say Walk Far and Walk Quickly to Reduce Your Risk of Dementia
https://www.healthline.com/health-news/experts-say-walk-far-and-walk-quickly-to-reduce-your-risk-of-dementia
"Some of the findings included:
• People who took 9,826 steps per day were 50 percent less likely to develop dementia within seven years.
• People who walked more than 40 steps per minute cut their dementia risk by 57 percent while walking only 6,315 steps per day.
• People who walked 3,800 steps per day at any speed cut their risk of dementia within seven years by 25 percent.
• People who walked at the brisk pace of 112 steps per minute for 30 minutes per day reduced their risk of dementia by 62 percent."

Tomorrow, I "work from home" and also leap into action with my husband's situation.
The first thing to do will be to line up an ultrasound to check for blood clots.
Then, we're hoping for a call to inform us of a surgeon or surgeons who will take him. I don't expect we'll have an appointment with one tomorrow, but hopefully one day early this week.
Meanwhile, it has been a nice couple days without too many extra responsibilities. There was nothing we could do in those 2 days so might as well relax.

Morning, my dears, and a happy Monday, whether past, present or future, as the case may be,
Warming trend all across the center of the country - the chilly winds of winter have largely moved on, at least for the time being, from these parts, and it's most appreciated. It's just barely under the freezing mark this morning, and supposed to be 50 to 65F for a high for the next couple weeks! (10-18C)
Nice quiet weekend, picked up a few things for the back bathroom from Lowes, and the vanity and fixtures will be delivered here Wednesday. Got some nice, light-colored flooring in vinyl plank, as well, and it will be in next week. Corey can't build the new wall until the vanity gets in, as it will be used to determine exactly how far the walls are set apart. We might ootch the whole thing in under $1,000, but it will be tight. And we're keeping the individual bits as low cost as we can. Thinking about Jennifer in CT - remodeling is expensive. Always.
Writing a lot, almost finished with the latest crocheted piece (I'll post a pic) and still holding onto my streak - today will be 21 days, an entire three weeks! Today is the elliptical - tomorrow is chair exercise. Pleased with that, even if I do have to count the days while using my finger to follow along on the calendar.
Haven't posted a Levi sighting in forever - but this is him at his first dental appointment - my daughter said he did great. He just turned 5, believe it or not. And Tracey - loved Michaela's sunglasses! I couldn't carry that off, but she does! So fancy!
More later, my dears, usual Monday chores in progress, setting up meds for the week, laundry, and plan to call the orthopedics clinic after the usual Monday flurry is over and ask what's the hold-up on getting me an appointment - might be with my original orthopod, and they haven't got my records to them yet. I'll follow up as I must.
Later, babies...
Love y'all,
Lisa in AR8 -
Carla Prayers for your family... Too many young people are getting cancer these days!!!! Prayers!
LanetteOnce I got to the store and checked out washer and dryers in person I did decide on a Speed Queen Washer...I use my washer much more than my dryer and the Speed Queen Washer is more durable. I also like that it operates more like the one I just lost. You can also always lift the lid no matter where it is in the cycle. All other washers I looked at lock and it is quite the chore to stop the washer. For the dryer I went with a Maytag because it has what is called a hamper door and that is what I have now and like it because you can open it up and you have a shelf. I like to start to fold and sort my laundry on it. The opening is smaller than the one I have now, but it will still work. I also went back to an electric dryer. Less expensive to buy and no gas fumes. Gas is still cheaper to operate, but I only use dyer for sheets, towels, and rags and even then I only go to partial dry with towels and rags. I finish the drying by hanging them up. I have the hook up for an electric from a previous dryer. Speed Queen came with a dryer that open up like a door in your home. Son's dryer is like that and I miss the hamper door when I use his.
Yesterday went to see ice sculptures at Rice Park. First Steps was my favorite...I am showing the parrot because it shows the Landmark Center where my friend and I listened to The St. Paul community orchestra. Beautiful building!
Heather One theory that is starting to gain traction is ADHD is related to blood sugar regulation. It may help to go on a MIND diet it is diet that emphasizes plants, smaller meat portions, little to no junk food. Good quality proteins. If meat is eaten try to find meat that has not been fed poor feed.
I can attest to this diet because it is basically the one I have been on this past year. I have added low grain consumption to this diet too. I know what it has done for my mood and my quality of life. I no longer have to use will power to avoid the foods that are not good for me. I use knowledge. I know how I feel when I eat poorly and I also know what happens to the scale. This is what keeps me on track.
I think I shared this before. One of the books I read told that the actress Jane Seymore's father was a doctor. He would not let junk food in the house because he already knew the long term effects would be bad...You look at her today she is in her seventies and looks like she is in her 40's. I do understand she is not without some health issues but I would think if she stayed on the course her father set it makes it easier to manage her health issues.
I also mentioned I was reading a news summary website and they showed a picture of a man who lived on processed food for fifty years. It was not a pretty picture.4 -

Got some bad news yesterday afternoon. My son called to tell me his grandmother (my X-mother-in-law) died in her sleep at the age of 102. It really hit me hard. I’m not sure why, I haven’t seen or talked to her in years, but we always stayed friends (she was actually on my side when I divorced her son). Now my son is worried he has no where to live, long story there I’m no up to relaying just yet. I’m angry at him and sad about the death.
I did walk 30 minutes yesterday, working on getting that up to twice a day with one at 30 minutes another at 15 minutes. Maybe more. Depends on my progress with the home search.
Thought for the day:
What did the lunch box say to the refrigerator?
I can’t help it if I’m cooler than you!
Love,

Carol- Hugs and prayers for your family.
I am not sure what happened to my system yesterday.....I got sidetracked when I couldn't get on car registration sight to renew as it was down for maintenance. Thank goodness that was after I had paid property taxes for rentals. Made a big breakfast as I was heading to Cincinnati for afternoon. Did normal morning things, then it was time to leave. Still felt dumpy in outfit, but whatever....enjoyed watching grand daughter dance. Figured I would walk when got home, but just couldn't. And I mean couldn't, I tried, made two laps, and couldn't convince myself to do more. Went to bed early.
DH still complaining about ankle/heel. He apparently hurt it trying to push heavy boxes with his toes on Thursday. We are currently sitting in the ER awaiting xray and doctor. This means it is really painful! Will keep you posted. Xrays done. Ibuprofen and muscle relaxer. Now waiting for doctor.
HUGS!!!!
Healing thoughts for us and our loved ones both physically and mentally.
Make the best choices you can in the moment!
Love,

The bad news is, today I burnt the leeks. I left the burner on low by mistake, after I'd finished cooking them for a pizza. The house stinks! Oops!
The good news is, I started writing my last chapter, and then realised it wasn't my last, but my next to last. I was pleased with my morning's work. I also took my BP, after putting it off all week, and it wasn't too bad. I hope the pharmacist will be happy enough with it when she phones me tomorrow. I will take it again tomorrow morning.
The strange news is, I got two notifications for an appointment at the Polyclinic. No date, no time, and I have not a clue what that is about. I tried to ring the number, but no answer. I think someone pressed the wrong button. I could find no other record of an appointment.
I also contacted the U3A, that Terri is involved with, to enquire if their local life-writing group would be interested in a visit from me. It was just a small box to fill in, so I couldn't say much, but they may get back to me. Or not. It's in accord with my word of the year, REACH. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Hey All! Happy Monday! Checking back in. Busy weekend in here. Ha! Busy weekend in general.
Pip - Would be nice to spend an alternating week somewhere. I will get there eventually. Those are some seriously pampered pooches. Also, what is that number at the end of your posts? I feel like a dork asking? But I obviously missed something.
Rebecca - I love new pots and pans!!! I will need to be trying this HU bar with almond butter. Yum! I am allergic to soy lecithin, so am always looking for something yummy without that as an ingredient. I am still shamelessly cracking up about the tiny trucklet. Also dying to see the sushi cases and ramen sheets. What is parathyroidism? I have hypothyroidism, but I have never heard of Para. And for the record, I do feel you should've received recognition. hahahahaha!
DrKatie - Good Lord! What a debacle. How on earth were they able to pay from your account?
Kylia - You should be able to find a local keeper. I would be willing to bet your state even has a registry. Farmers markets are also good places to find them.
Michelle - Yes! We saw the Canes! I'm a huge fan. And no.....you didn't want to see the naked dude. Ha! In regards to going over on calories, are you logging as you go or waiting until end of day. Logging as I go helps me a great deal.
Machka - You have your hands full for sure! I hope your husband is doing better. Congrats on keeping moving. I know that can be challenging when you are busy. I love the rain. Does it rain a lot there? Your back garden is stunning. What an incredible haven. I find beekeeping to be terrifying and satisfying. I work with Carniolans. I am proud to say I have still in my 50 years, never been stung. I have only been working with bees for 10 years now. But I am sure my day will come. Ha!
Heather - What is Burns Night? These hats y'all had on were great! I need to know more about this celebration! What is your whisky of choice? Bea is adorable. She did a great job on her crate. And Johns drawing is wild!
Terri - Wow! That sounds like a helluva storm! I hope there was still no damage in the marina after you checked. That could be costly damage.
Lisa - How are you managing your Afib? Corey Good answer! He deserves the coffee. How is your daughter? Levi is adorable!!!!! Great Shades!
Beth - I must have missed it and will have to read back. But surgery doesn't sound fun. I'm not even a little jealous of the snow you are getting. You just keep that over there. ha!
RVRita - I loathe OneDrive!!! I refuse to use it. I do however have an external hard drive to offload onto, use google drive to share docs with others and Dropbox for various other items. Good luck with the house search. keep us posted. A CHIPMUNK!!! BAHAHAHAHAHA! This made my day.
Vicki - Nebraska..... I drove through there once. I swear I passed the exact same mile marker for 4 hours straight. I'm pretty sure if your dog escaped, you could watch him run away for three days. Its the flattest place I've ever seen! Zero wind breaks. How are you staying warm? I know here at some of our schools they are using kitchen staff to also drive buses. Other employees are cross training for bus driving as well. Its crazy to me that this seems to be a tough area to staff. I don't blame you though, I wouldn't feel comfortable driving one either.
Rori - I have heard of this Reynauds but don't know anyone with it. I would certainly get that checked out if you think it might be what you are dealing with. I haven't been to Colorado for years. Do you have a lot of snow? I remember jumping off of the roof of the house into the snow. Ha! I don't miss the cold.
Debbie - This is a lot of stress on you. Take time for yourself. Burn out is horrible. I love tea and have a ridiculous collection. What are you drinking?
Margaret - Where is this Winter Carnival? Reminds me of McCall Idaho.
Carla - I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. I will send prayers for certain to all of you.
It's cold that never ends here in North Carolina. They say there is a warming trend, but I say.....LIES! I'm still freezing. Seems I may never thaw. I threw a baby shower for a friend on Saturday. It was a success, but I'm glad its over. There was far too much to eat that I had no business eating. Ha! Because its a long post already, I included photos in the spoiler below for anyone who wants to see. I'm the one in the pink. Question of the day....what color are my shoes? Somehow they are an optical illusion in the photos.
Busy week ahead. Ill be working and troubleshooting some camera issues for church service. I hope I get it solved by Sunday. ha! Pray for me.
Having dinner with my buddy Henry tonight before he returns to Florida. I'm so bummed he moved, but now have another excuse to go to Florida!
Have a great week everyone! be safe, stay warm.

Heidi in NC I posted I think one page back the sushi pillowcases. Son said "AW".
Here he is opening his ramen pillow one Christmas.💖
I loved his hijet, and really sad about seeing it messed up by that mechanic/friend. His first truck was bought here in CA, and it had come over from Japan. Then when he moved up to WA he and this friend must've been high on candy and fast food to come up with a weird idea to do an engine swap on it. They took a MG engine and put it under the cab of the truck, (where its normally at). But it was too big (duh) so they had to remove the bench seat. Then they had to extent the wheel base because it was top heavy. Then they had to create fenders because the wheels were rubbing. Finally they put the air filter in the back bed against the back wall of the cab. She's like a monster from too many plastic surgeries. Now she's out in the parking lit of the friends business. Out in the elements, while he's moved to Oklahoma and forgotten about even thinking of fixing her. He had said he would put her on a flatbed trailer to transport it to us after the holidays, but that never happened. This friend has had it since 2017.
I love my new pots and pans, just a breeze to cook with! I bought some new small pans and both of us have to be really careful because things just slip all over in them!

That truck sounds like an adventure for sure! Hilarious. My daughter would love the sushi/Ramen bedding. I will have to keep it in mind for her. Be really careful with those new pans. We don’t need any hot cheese burns. 🤣

Thank you! We had a great time! I don’t feel my age at all. So sometimes it’s hard for me to remember that my friends having babies are in their 30’s. I was 30 when I had my daughter. She will be 21 this year. The food was a lot of fun, but I was an entertained by the games we played. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Vicki, It's hard for me to imagine that there are people who would be happy doing the work you do and driving a bus. One or the other. There's a job out there for you. It's just the waiting that's so difficult.
Machka, Your husband's surgery sounds like a huge challenge for both of you. I know you'll deal with it one day at a time and find ways to take care of yourself as you take care of him.
Margaret, What a great description of joy. Learning to enjoy what's around you is a great companion to gratitude and happiness.
Kylia, You are right about habits. Even at my lowest moments, I default to my habits and do what I would normally do so something gets accomplished and I can feel better.
Heather, Your Burns party looks like so much fun.
I think I have all the documents I need to begin preparation of income tax, but with all that's going on, I can't imagine fragmenting myself by tackling it yet. I'll just be sure to keep it all together for the day I can deal with it.
Had a long phone conversation with daughter in California. She is dealing with a sick dog who may need weeks of special care to recover completely. She has been a good support for me and me for her.

Allie, It's a great feeling to be able to get rid of clothes that are too big.
We have a nice tax lady that has her office in Warrenton Oregon. We met her when husband was in the thick of it healthwise. She knows the latest changes, and makes the process of filing completely painless. We just make copies, and send documents to her. She calls us when she receives them. We get a call when finished, and usually the fee she charges is about what we get back. We receive a nice professional folder and we send her a check and file the folder. Easy peasy. Something to think about having a tax lady.💖

In Australia, that is the best way to go. I think most people go that route.
We use H&R Block. They can access everything except donations. So the only thing I bring in are donation receipts.
Both our taxes are finished within half an hour and the money is in the bank 2 weeks later.

Sadly alot of agencies here don't "play well with each other" computer speaking, so the tax lady can't get our social security forns, or my husbands retirement pay stub. But on the good side they do send them out fairly quickly.
Your back yard is looking marvelous by the way. I bet the bees are having fun pollinating everything!

Our oven is located in the lower space in our kitchen. At one time I think there were two ovens but like you see in this photo, we put our microwave in the upper one. So when leaning over to put like fish fillets in the oven, I have to really keep the pan level, or risk dumping my food directly in the oven!😂😂
When I used to be a passenger in my sons truck, it was fun sitting on the left side, as it was a right side drive. So seeing the other drivers look at me and I would put my hands up like "look turning with no hands"! His Japanese van though was the best. He took me out one day and driving around a turnaround, he drifted. So we went around about 4 times, just skidding along. I was laughing so hard, but very white knuckled! On the good side he knows what he's doing.😁👍🏼
His Chinese scooters he rides. (Him in Guam when he was there).
His van when it was traveling to Guam. He sold it to a service guy there.
The inside of his van. It was quite posh. It was also a right side drive.

Margaret - I think you will really like your Speed Queen washer. Funny you mentioned the lock. Mine does have the lock, when I bought it the salesman 5+ years ago, he said they were now required to have them, some safety feature. I wonder if he was bending the truth. I am finding the lock kind of "catches" and sometimes makes it hard to raise the lid. I need to get on YouTube or call the store and see what they say, maybe I fix it. Or sand off part of the plastic clip that's attached to the lid....?? Those ice sculptures are gorgeous.
Heather - you and John taking that watercolor class on the cruise has added so much to your lives with your own painting and getting the grands interested in it! I saw on FB there was a local "Robert Burns" celebration but no one wore the caps, but some folks did have tartans. How thrilling DDIL and her parents get to go to Dubai.
Rita - sorry to hear about your ex-MIL, she sounded like a sweetie. Happy to hear you are getting your walking in, you have such a nice place to walk.
Heidi - that shower looked very nice. Those are some mighty fine wicked photos of the buffet table. Isn't it fun to have young friends like that? They really do keep us young.
Tracey - so glad your MIL is doing better; sorry Rodger worries so. My DH had a falling out with his mother and expressed no concern, at least outwardly, when she became ill and finally passed away. I never could figure it out - he loved his aunt and uncle dearly however and shared many good memories of them. Glad that Michaela had a great time with you this weekend and enjoys her new sunglasses. She's at a nice age where it doesn't take much to make her happy. Being with you is the best
Lisa - sunglasses on grands are the rage, lol. Levi is such a cutie.
Taxes - I've been using TaxAct for many years, but last year they changed their format a bit and I didn't like it but forged ahead. I may look at other providers for 2024. Waiting for paperwork to come in, so will get it done before April 15.
Better get this posted, I've been working on it all morning.

MFP Weekly Check-in for January 27, 2025
Rita in Roswell NM - Up .6 this week but had a lot of salt yesterday. I started back walking 20-30 min a day. Did 3 days last week and will add more this week. I need to work on portion sizes still. That’s my biggest downfall.
Debbie in Napa Valley CA - down just a few ounces- 150.2.
Sue in Washington - Missed all my exercise classes at the Y this past week. Weather very cold for here and had difficulty breathing. Using inhaler but still coughing and wheezing. I am ready for some warmer weather. Maintained weight. Hoping for a better week coming up.
Barbara on the Southern Oregon Coast - BLOOOOOMPF! Average and Sunday WT up above 132 :P
Weekly average steps UP to 5887. Line danced thrice, Half BB&B at home twice, dog group once.
CI continues to outpace CO. Sugar leveling off but way over goal. AF improving, PT & Zumba still bupkes.
Exercise snacks (hip hinges, hanging from the shower rod, block planks/pushups) intermittent but not letting the perfect preclude the good.
Beautiful, blue sky, dry days, managed a little weeding, tidied the potting area and prepped the seed starting trays.
Kylia in Ohio -Down 2 lbs! Above expected loss. Will continue active minutes, protein, and fiber goals. Still nicotine free! Thankful for all the support! Cheers to making the best choices we can make at any given moment!
Lanette in SW WA State – holding at 160. Step average 8073 this week, up from last week due to more after meal house walking, 10-15 minutes at a time after most meals.5 -
Debbie – do you have handwarmers? I love mine:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCN32JWM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
Great for when I’m walking, I just keep them in my pocket.
I always get my drinks water no ice too. Vince always knows what I’ll order. I also always keep some tea bags in my pocketbook. It seems that every place has tea, but it’s almost always iced tea. Who wants iced tea in January? What is your favorite tea?
Carol and Deb - Add me to the list of people who do well during the day and then at nighttime snack. Oh, I snack on decent foods, freeze dried fruit (dried fruit usually has sugar added to it. I like the freeze dried fruit), fruit, cheese. But I still can’t help snacking. Trying to keep some tea nearby, hoping that’ll help. Next I think I’ll try having pickle juice. Just to get me started.
Heather – you ARE great grandparents. How I envy you, being so close to them
Well, bowling and then ceramics tomorrow night.
Michele NC
I do have a few sets of those hand warmers- need to pull them out again. Now I use the one time use ones that I got at Black Friday- 30 or 40 in a box for $4. I gave some to my friends for when we walk-(just put two more sets in my jacket pocket for tonight)
Favorite teas- herbal would be Good Earth Sweet and Spicy. I am hoping Grocery Outlet will get it back in. Amazon has it but so much cheaper at GO-they had a four box pack for $8. Need to remind my son to ask his boss if they can get it back in again.
Another one I like is the Celestial Seasoning Bengal Spice. They have one called India Spice that is with black tea that is also really good.
Morning tea is Earl Grey, English Breakfast or something like that.
Favorite for cool tea is Luzianne.
I am not a fan of most of the fruit/herbal teas
We went to Celestial Seasonings in Bolder,CO- that was the highlight of our trip to Colorado Springs both times we went. They have an amazing tour and tasting room- all free plus the gift shop was huge. I ended up getting two large boxes of tea shipped from them. The tea got here before we did. I think I bought like 20 boxes or more. One thing we learned on the tour was, tea never goes bad/expires. It may be a bit weaker/take a little longer to steep, but it is still perfectly good.
I even have a favorite cup that I use constantly- it is one my former hubby sent me for my birthday about 8 yrs ago. It has a picture of us taken in SF when he came out to visit(first time seeing him in over 20 yrs). Nice to have a great memory to think of every time I have my tea.
Have not drank pickle juice on its own but LOVE baby dills- can eat half a jar of them in one sitting. Also LOVE pickled okra-mom makes the best

Need to also spray my nectarine tree but may wait until after the rain- just need to make sure I spray it heavily this year- didn't do a good job last year and got no fruit- lots of leaf curl.

Simple secret to a longer life
https://news.griffith.edu.au/2024/11/27/simple-secret-to-a-longer-life/
If everyone was as active as the top 25 per cent of the population, individuals over the age of 40 could add five years to their life, according to a new study led by Griffith University researchers.
Physical activity has long been known to be good for health, however estimates have varied regarding how much benefit could be gained from a defined amount of activity, both for individuals and for populations.
This latest study used US-based accelerometry data to gain an accurate view of a population’s physical activity levels instead of relying on survey responses as per other studies, and found the benefits were around twice as strong as previous estimates.
It found the most active quarter of people in the community had a 73 per cent lower risk of death than their least active counterparts.
For that least active quartile, a single one-hour walk could potentially return a benefit of around six additional hours of life.

Rebecca-i have hyperparathyroidism, and my PTH is high and they want me to get an ultrasound of the thyroid again. They have me on a new med to bring the calcium levels down6 -
There was just a post on Facebook how the soup kitchen has really exploded. Serving more meals, more lunches, etc. so they’ve purchased a different place and will be moving there. Have no idea when. Isn’t it sad that this is needed?
We will probably go to ceramics tonight and Vince will take a pillow with him.
Took the bandage off my cyst and since it isn’t oozing, didn’t put another one back on. It’s still sticking out a little, hopefully, that’ll go down
Went to bowling and I started to cry. It’s just so frustrating when you get gutter ball after gutter ball. I asked the guy who runs the shop if there was anyone who gave bowling lessons, I need them. People give me advice, do this, do that, stand here etc etc etc. I know they mean well, but they aren’t a Kyle Troop. What works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another. Well, this guy watched me and then gave me a few pointers. Then I got my high game – 88. But at least I hit some of the pins. So I’ll try using his pointers when we got prebowl this Friday and see if they continue to help.
Lisa – I put my heavy winter coat in the closet and got out another coat. It just felt so so good to put the heavy one away. Please don’t tell me that remodeling is expensive. I have to get the bathroom(s) redone in the condo. I’m figuring at least $10,000 more on the lines of 12 or 13. Ideally, I would like to get both of them done, but one is a much higher priority.
Michaela and Levi – fashion trend setters
Margaret – I have a Whirlpool dryer and I can open the door at any time. I also have a shelf that I can put in if I need it. We have an ironing board that folds down and Vince likes to fold his laundry on that. It’s in a “cabinet” on the wall and then when you open the door you can fold down the ironing board. Great ice sculptures.
Rita – I’m so sorry about your X-MIL
Got a loop band in the mail today. Didn’t cost a cent. See, there is this program, FitOn, for people who have BCBS of NC as their supplement which I do. Seems there’s few exercise things I can get (no, Barb, no DVD’s) at no cost, which works for me. Even if I give it to someone else, that’s OK. I can only order one loop band in any one year, which is OK.
Heidi – I usually log as I go along. Oh, there have been times when I’ve been over calories so I eliminate something just to get under calories. But I am finding that since I don’t add in my exercise calories, I’ll have a snack and justify it as the calories from exercise. Also, I find that eating at night isn’t good for me as I tend to gain weight.. So I’ve got to curb that. I try to do that by doing the jigsaw puzzle, going for a walk when it gets lighter longer. I also try to log an apple and have that or crackers shortly before bedtime. Great shower. Did you do all the cooking?
Went to ceramics and there weren’t any cars there. Were they closed? No, they were open only they didn’t have any heat. There is no way we were going to paint in our coats so we left. But I did pick up my Kermit the Frog
Taxes: Vince uses TurboTax. So does Jess.
Debbie – I really don’t care for Celestial Seasonings mainly because there isn’t a string to get the teabag out of the tea. I can’t drink black tea – makes my stomach upset. Honestly, I like the tea that’s on sale. I got some Egyptian Licorice by Yogi that I like. Also, green tea pomegranate by Bigelow and Peach and Orange by Twinings. Like I said, what’s on sale

Love our kids aka dogs. That number just marks my spot, nothing else, no big secret. Not a dork for asking. :0)3 -

Here are pics from yesterday. I don't know how I got so tired looking especially in pictures....but sharing anyway. Yes, Lisa, thought of your little old ladies when I wrote that!

DH is in a walking boot. Strained Achilles tendon. Muscle relaxers, ibuprofen, rest, elevation, and ice. Happy not worse!
Today is a good day because the sun is shining, DH is nothing serious, and my belly is full. Other than that it has been anything but smooth! I am still smiling though.
Will catch up more later. Really need to work...
Kylia supposedly working in Ohio
Great photos of you and grandkids!👍🏼💖
