Happy Wednesday! My errant ways are showing up on the scale this week. Now that our cold weather is mostly gone, I don't feel the need to eat like I'm preparing for hibernation, so I have hope that next week will be better! I've been getting a little more walking in and still using that infinity hoop.

Good morning All!
I was traveling for a week and it gets me out of my routine for workouts. Not good for my nutrition either. Getting back at it today. Reported yesterday's weight, but one good day and the water weight is gone and today is 146.5. Working to stay focused.

Not a lot of progress, but not going up! I have been weight training 3X per week; gaining muscle, loosing body fat and feeling stronger and healthier. All good results while the scale stays the same. Goal by end of March is 145 lbs. Should be doable !

I had a thought today that a weight loss challenge is a little like the stock market. We post results on a regular basis and measure success in gains vs. losses. @chrisanderson2126 mentioned aiming for the trajectory and I think that mirrors long-term investment strategies. This investment is even more important, because it's in ourselves. Happy Friday, y'all!8

01/31-191.2-(Trend Weight: 192.4)- Much better than my last weigh in a couple of days ago. I had one day of travel these past couple of days, but I think I handled it well with no gain the following day. That really helped the cause. Down 1.4 lbs this month. Dreaming of my summer clothes and hoping they will fit still. It’s only a few short months away! I’ll have to look at my stats and see where I stood last summer. Fingers crossed! I’m a little (okay, A LOT) disappointed that the longest month of this entire challenge has come and gone and I could not even meet my initial monthly goal. With that trajectory, I will not make challenge goal either and that really irks me. All I can do is move forward, do my best and get as far as I can go on the petro I have left in me. Zoom Zoom!

My husband and I are retired.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out since we have our Grandson every morning. He's 2 years old and a pistol!!

Good morning everyone!
Happy February! I guess Phil, the groundhog, is saying six more weeks of Winter, but that's okay, Spring will be here six more weeks from Thursday, and I'm sure the weeks will pass swiftly!
As for me, I am hitting the "Reset button" on multiple fronts, effective the first day of this month. Right now, I'm in "Recovery Mode" after several days of overeating and even >GASP!< drinking alcohol again! My finances are in dire straits right now and I need to get a handle on my lifestyle - IMMEDIATELY!
[Please forgive me if I copied and pasted from other boards that you might visit. Is just to save time.]
I will post "initial" scale app stats and key measurements, with a whole new DAY ONE, beginning this Wednesday, February 5 ,which will only be six weeks until the end of this challenge!
My new objective is to post daily here and on the other two boards I have joined, to average no more that 1,450 calories intake per day (NONE of which will be alcohol!) and to be completely honest about my weight, food diary and everything else.
'Bye for now. I'll check back soon.
Enjoy your day,
💞 Carole5 -

Hi everyone! I hope you're all well! Last week was very stressful at work and home, so I didn't check in here at all or track calories very accurately. Overall weight has been fluctuating a little bit but overall staying 2-2.5 lb down since start of January.
Now that last week is over and I'm feeling a bit less stressed, time to get back to good habits!7 -

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I had a great week. I am still doing the 16/4 Intermittent Fasting, but dropped from 1,700 calories a day to 1,400 calories a day and joined our YMCA, which has a walking track. I have been logging all food and linked my Fitbit to MyFitnessPal so adding my steps to exercise in the app. So this week was a big week losing 5 lbs. I highly recommend to anybody who wanting to try the intermittent fasting to read up on it. My 16 hour fast and 8 hour eating window is the longest one, but you can do 14/10 or 12/12. The key is to stop eating for the day earlier.

@sandpiper2014 I hope you are feeling better from your cold soon!
@abp1025 I think I've accidentally started intermittent fasting as well. I have been focusing on better sleep, so I've been trying to cut out any eating after 7 pm. Since I don't eat breakfast, that puts me at pretty much an 8 hour eating window. Not eating after 7 has had a positive impact on my snacking habits too. No more 1000+ calorie evening snacks. At least for now!6 -
Weigh in updates for today: back down to 3.1 lb total loss. That's where I was in mid january, and I've been looking and gaining the same 2 lb over and over since then. I really have not been on track wIth eating, so it's time to get back to it and start really losing again.5

This week I saw something that talked about "stop making losing weight the goal". As I thought about this, I could/do agree. My focus/goal should be to want to be healthier. To center my goals around things like sleep, portion size, food choices, amount and type of movement throughout the day, getting enough water, etc. If I can do all those well, I feel better, feel better about myself and a by product of that should hopefully be that the number on the scale drops. Thoughts?7 -

Up 1.5 lbs this week, most of it is water weight, due to hormonal changes, but I can see my body fat percentage went down, so things are working, I’m just not seeing the results I want yet. But tracking food plus exercise this week will keep me on track for a loss next week! Keep up the positive habits!7 -
Intro: I am 43 years old, 5'2" with a starting weight of 146 lbs. With being petite, EVERY pound is a battle. I have three little kids - ages 4, 6, and 8 -- and my hubby travels for work. Things I need to keep in mind while cruising next week:
Don't lose the momentum of the downward trend.
Hit the treadmill daily. (I have a race in 3 weeks).
I don't have to eat everything on the ship.
We have lots of active days planned, swimming, snorkeling, hiking.5 -

So my aim is 184 lbs. I am still logging all my foods and hit the treadmill for 30 minutes 6 out of 7 days. Also my step count not including the treadmill averages 8000 daily. Another week of no movement. I rather continue with being active that lower my calorie intake. I feel stronger and my clothes are a little looser. Since I am in Mexico for the winter I don't have a measuring tape. Keep the course. Read all the posts and a lot of successes and great insight. Thanks everyone.
