So um π got fired yesterday. Apparently Iβm not capable of the role. Right. Spent all day in ED yesterday because my catheter had an infection and was really painful π£ and my son spent all last night in ED and came home this morning in a moon boot.

Hi, I'm Darlene and am back for another month. I am working my way through the maintenance phase of my journey. I weigh weekly, and record my accomplishments daily. I started this journey in January 2023 and lost almost 90 pounds. I reached my goal weight in October 2024, went back over my goal in November (took a month off from this group - big mistake) and then back to my goal in December and January. This was the first group that joined on MFP and holds a special place in my heart.

February 14: complete my Pilates video and did 6,479 steps yesterday which is good for me. Not a ton of progress but I felt good about it. Spent Valentineβs Day with my hubby and a close couple that we hang out with. It was snowing Again so we just made dinner in, wonderful pecan crusted walleye and pike from the boys Canada trip, salad and bake potato, so all in all healthy. It was a lovely evening with loved ones and friends.

Today Iβll plan a 10 and be happy if I fail and only get a 9. ο I still didnβt get a chance to take my Lasix medication yesterday due to so much jetting about town on errands. I hope to take it today but it probably wonβt be until after 1:00 due to some morning errands. I do a lot of running/Ace Hardware for the contractors. Iβm supposed to take it daily but itβs difficult when you have to leave the house. Ankles and tummy are definitely swollen and fluffy. Praying for strength today in my eating plan! Proud I managed 13 minutes on the exercise bike yesterday. Feels like starting over with my exercise abilities and I guess it is. I havenβt been serious about it since Thanksgiving. Time to get up off my *kitten* and get busy! After being plummeted with snow the last couple of days, our town is hunkering down for another snowstorm expected all day Saturday and all day Sunday. I am getting a little calorie burn on lately helping my son shovel. We have a major sidewalk system outside although a plow comes and does the long driveway. Winter has been exhausting but beautiful.
02/15-193.8-(Trend Weight: 194.6)- This is a nice drop on the scale probably brought about by good TMI and Lasix results which I couldnβt take until about 5:30 pm (so I was up & down all night!) My diet was less than stellar yesterday. Too much dinner, too many snacks. Iβll tackle all the challenges again today as I hunker down in this snowstorm. 7 more inches expected by tomorrow evening. Iβll help shovel again today but WILL NOT use that as an excuse for not getting back on that exercise bike. I can do it!!!! May birthday goal: T-minus 1.9 lbs gone with 8.1 lbs to go.

Busy day yesterday planning a trip to Florida for a week to visit friends/family and attend my 2nd cousin's100th surprise birthday party. 02/16-194.4-(Trend Weight: 194.7)- Okay, well now Iβm just frustrated with myself. Last night (looking back) does feel like self-sabotage and emotional eating big-time. I could have done much better. I was so good during mealtimes! Why would I need snacks immediately following a nice sized healthy dinner every night? Especially when I donβt eat until around 8:00 pm or 8:30? I call them βsnacksβ but what Iβm really doing (apparently) is insisting on some sort of dessert. Itβs a habit that needs to be broken. My βsnackβ needs to be hours after a meal, between meals etc. Knowledge is power and this is the first time Iβve really seen it for what it is. Iβll be working on that now! I got stuck in the snow at my DDβs house this afternoon and had to be shoveled out. We got the 7 inches more they were predicting. We are expecting even more today and tomorrow too. No one knows where to put all the snow. We are all out of room but itβs beautiful. T-Minus 1 lbs with 9 lbs to go.

SECOND HALF OF THE MONTH
02/16-194.4-(Trend Weight: 194.7)- Okay, well now Iβm just frustrated with myself. Last night (looking back) does feel like self-sabotage and emotional eating big-time. I could have done much better. I was so good during mealtimes! Why would I need snacks immediately following a nice sized healthy dinner every night? Especially when I donβt eat until around 8:00 pm or 8:30? I call them βsnacksβ but what Iβm really doing (apparently) is insisting on some sort of dessert. Itβs a habit that needs to be broken. My βsnackβ needs to be hours after a meal, between meals etc. Knowledge is power and this is the first time Iβve really seen it for what it is. Iβll be working on that now! I got stuck in the snow at my DDβs house this afternoon and had to be shoveled out. We got the 7 inches more they were predicting. We are expecting even more today and tomorrow too. No one knows where to put all the snow. We are all out of room but itβs beautiful. T-Minus 1 lbs with 9 lbs to go.
02/17-194.4-(Trend Weight: 194.7)- No change. I had an extremely emotionally charged evening and night last night with regards to my troubled DD. My meals were already finished so they were not affected but I ended up gulping several adult beverages that contained lots of orange juice. High carbs and not good for my blood sugar levels but they hit the spot and got me through. All is well today (so far) with DD and I hope that I will not lean on putting bad choices in my mouth today, no matter what happens. Iβm trying. T-Minus 1 lb with 9 lbs to go on my birthday (May) goal.

02/17-194.4-(Trend Weight: 194.7)- No change. I had an extremely emotionally charged evening and night last night with regards to my troubled DD. My meals were already finished so they were not affected but I ended up gulping several adult beverages that contained lots of orange juice. High carbs and not good for my blood sugar levels but they hit the spot and got me through. All is well today (so far) with DD and I hope that I will not lean on putting bad choices in my mouth today, no matter what happens. Iβm trying. T-Minus 1 lb with 9 lbs to go on my birthday (May) goal.

Hi, I'm Darlene and am back for another month. I am working my way through the maintenance phase of my journey. I weigh weekly, and record my accomplishments daily. I started this journey in January 2023 and lost almost 90 pounds. I reached my goal weight in October 2024, went back over my goal in November (took a month off from this group - big mistake) and then back to my goal in December and January. This was the first group that joined on MFP and holds a special place in my heart.

Was almost a perfect week - until my binge last night. Prior to that I was just over my calorie limit one day (my planned date night) and more than made up for it during the week. Then, last night a bit of a binge putting me over my calorie and sodium limit. I knew that I was under for the week which made for some self sabotage. I ended up under 732 calories for the week. I know I should be happy, I maintained and was down a little from last week, but still hard to get out of the losing mentality.
Tonight is Date night - so my planned overage for tomorrow.

@ozdeelite So sorry to hear about your job. I know it's easy to allow the event to take you down, but don't let it - take this time to put yourself first, focus on getting healthier while you look for a new and better job.

@tbris4 An hour Yoga! I wish I could love it. I have added a small yoga routine after my strength, and just can't get into it. But on a good note - I can stand on one foot for 30 seconds in my Tree Pose.

@atrooien You could be training for a triathlon if you could use your elliptical for the run piece! What kind of injury to you have?

Back on track with calories yesterday. I need to incorporate the rehab/mobility exercises I do. I have tendonitis and some other problems. I'm very bad at sticking with my rehab plan and not overdoing it. I can't seem to accept that I have to go sloooooooow and be consistent every day or it will set me back.
I have achilles tendonitis, and glute tendonitis, and arthritis, and some soft tissue tears in my hip. So yesterday I overdid it and hurt my achilles a bit again. And it was doing really well.

Tracking Goal: Last week tracked all 7 days.
Over Goal: I did go over a couple times last week, but less than 300. So I kept it contained.
