I have been on my diet for exactly 1 year today

So as of today I have been on my diet for exactly 1 year. I am down 209lbs.
I have my starting weight at 546lbs. but I'm positive it was more than that. 546lbs. was just the last official weight I had from a doctor's visit and it had been a year and half since that visit when I started and I know I weighed more.
I was starting to grow out of my 5xl t-shirts, which is saying something because you know those stretch. I can now fit into a 2xl. Not well mind you. I look like a bursting sausage, but I can put them on.
My belt is down 19.5 inches.
I am feeling so much better. I had severe lower leg swelling between my knee and ankle. That part basically looked like a cylinder and the medical compression garments I had did not work. Now I can wear just just the runner type compression garments and my legs look normal. I can even skip wearing them for a day with no visible swelling.
I am so much stronger, doing things is so much easier. I no longer have to sit and use a chair when I do the dishes or cook. I am looking forward to mowing my lawn this year. Before this diet it took me 5-6 hours to mow my lawn. I would do it for about 8 minutes at a time with a 20 minute break and it would wipe me out for the rest of the day after that. The last time I mowed before winter it only took me 30-35 minutes without a single break and I was able to do other things after that. I used to carry all of my groceries in on one trip because I knew I wouldn't have the energy to make multiple trips.
I can't believe I am 38lbs. away from being in the 200s.

I needed to read this post today. I don't know if you did it "with help" or without (like me). I just wanted to congratulate you on your success. I still look like a 'bursting' sausage as well, but I have managed to kick 1 X to the curb and I wear now a 2X-3X.
I just looked 309 days to Christmas, what was my original goal to be close to 200 by then. I will give it my all.
Every morning I made a list of typical household chores that I had to get done before work. I always tried to accomplish 5 things before I had to sit down again. I couldn't make our bed, without taking a break.

Now almost 45 lbs down (5 months) I make our bed, then I walk downstairs and start my chores without having to sit in at all. It's a big step forward and so motivating.

I even founded a group "Determined Losers on a Mission" because that's what I am (just like you) determined to kick at least 100 more pounds to the curb.

I wish you all the best and I know you will achieve what you set out to accomplish.

The utter fabulousness of your outcomes so far cannot be overstated: That's amazing and excellent!

With that kind of commitment, I'm betting there will be many more improvements and accomplishments yet to come. You're a wonderful example of escaping the psychological - and physical - traps that can hold us in an unpleasant status quo. Good show!

So my uninformed fantasy is that people who lose a lot of weight must feel like they have moved from from Krypton where they're normal to Earth where they are super strong. I mean you have muscles that used to support 500 lbs and now only have to deal with 300 and declining. Of course you can leap tall buildings in a single bound, right?
