Good morning everyone!
I had a good week but as I mentioned, I am nervous about this coming week. There will no doubt be healthy choices but it is hard to log stuff in a restaurant that is not a chain.

I am grateful for a supportive husband who is supporting me throughout this journey and encourages me.
What are you grateful for?
Take care,

@EternalTruth Awesome results! Way to go! Thank you for reminding us to take a moment to remember what we are grateful for. I am grateful for many things but the ones that come to mind right away are:
my health
my grandchildren

Hi everyone,
I promised to be absolutely honest; so here goes: Both my Wednesday AND Thursday weights showed 155 on the scale. That's actually 2 lbs. MORE than when I started! I still think I can lose another 5-6 lbs. by the first day of Spring, but we'll see. It's horrible how just two, careless days can wipe out FIVE, very careful days, but there it is, especially since I haven't been doing much activity. I've got the winter doldrums, I guess. I'm SO tired of all the layers!
Wishing you all a very nice weekend,
💞Carole9 -
@sunnydays930, that's AWESOME!Congrats on staying AF too! Best wishes for your doctor's appointment on Wednesday!🌷

@Walela617 Thanks for reminding us how one or two off days can wipe out a whole week. We all know that. But when it happens to you it's so disheartening. Don't think about it. Think about the upcoming week. You can get rid of at least one of those pounds.
I only lost a half pound this week. I had been so good diet wise that I was hoping for at least a pound. It never happens. To make myself feel better I tried on some skinny jeans that I bought in 2016. They fit!! I mean really fit. I will feel good wearing them.

Have a good week everybody. One day at a time. One week at a time. All those little victories count. They add up.
I'm grateful for my health.
My new furnace (Brrrrr..)
Another good day. I'll make sure I enjoy it.7 -
My granddaughters are girl scouts and were selling cookies out in front of the grocery store today so I bought 6 boxes. I am possessed by a sugar devil, plus I wanted to support their troop. I will put them in the freezer but everyone knows they are just as good frozen!6
-
Hi everyone,
I hope you're having a great day.
Congratulations on your weight loss, @faurotann! Every little bit counts, and it's better than I'm doing right now!
Hi @sunnyday930, those girl scouts can be dangerous! I especially live the thin mint ones. I never tried them frozen. That sounds like a great idea! Still, I don't dare buy them because I'll eat the whole box at once!
Welcome to all new members! It's never too late to join in! Glad you're here!
Have a great day everyone! I will check back soon.

Earlier this week I was in line the pharmacy. On the shelf next to me were a bunch of Lays potato chips. As you can imagine I had plenty of time to look at them. They looked so good. They were $3.99 per package. Or 2 packages for $7.00. I'm thinking "that's a good deal". HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Right this minute I can remember how good they looked. So salty......so crispy......so fatty. Only $7.00 for two bags!!!
ETA: I didn't buy them.5 -
WOW, @faurotann, you sure did hang tough, resisting those chips at such a bargain! I'm not so into sweets, but I really love, crunchy/salty snacks! (Don't you hate how they tempt us while we're waiting in line to check out? Not fair!)5

Thank you @RubyRed427 for continuing this challenge. Thanks to everyone for the useful advice I read on this thread. There's lots of things I need to look at and consider, thanks all. Although I only look at this page once a week, it is reassuring to know that others are in the same situation as me and we are all making progress!
My aims for this month are to: get back to being active, reduce my bread/pasta/rice/potato intake, try to get at least 7 hours sleep a night and to return to tracking my meals - to get into 130-ville!
My name is Nikki, and I'm 5'3" (on a good day!). I'm based on the south coast in the UK. I'm in my 50s and work full time as a teacher. I'm pretty active - but there's always room for some more.
My GW is 133lb
my UGW is 126 - although that is very optimistic!
I weigh in on Thursdays, but get around to posting at the weekends

Time to get back into tracking and start being more accountable to myself! Good luck everyone with this round of weight loss!
06 Feb - 143.2lb (1.4lb)Not a great week, but no excuses. I need to get my head back into this!
Any tips to get me out of this rut?
13 Feb - 142.6 (0.6)That will have to do. My head is still elsewhere unfortunately. Thanks for @200Karen for the idea about water and protein - it is something I will look into. Thanks also to @Walela617 for the positivity - there's still a way to go until I'm happy with what I see in the mirror!
I'm off to Rome for a residential trip with the school next week - I'm not sure I will be able to curb the carbs and drink lots of water. However, we are going to do a lot of walking. Good luck to everyone next week!
20 Feb - 143.4lb (+0.8)Considering how much and what I ate in Rome - that weight measurement actually isn't that bad!
I'm not a fan of coffee, so that wasn't a problem! However, I ate a lot of pasta, a lot of pizza and some fast food - not my first choices for meals that's for sure. However, I did an awful lot of walking - over 18,000 steps on Monday, over 30,000 steps on Tuesday, over 23,000 steps on Wednesday and over 20,000 steps on Thursday - a lot more than I normally do!! I'm looking forward to eating salads and vegetables next week, with the hope I can get to the end of February weighing less than at the start!!

TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS FOR APRIL5 -
Posting here for accountability. My March goal is to stop the roller coaster ride. I indulge a little on weekends and spend weekdays undoing the damage. It’s mostly carbs, but when I’m close to goal, even a wrap or a piece of cornbread adds pounds. So, I’m going to try harder and see what happens. And I mean “try” and not just say the three letter word. At 62 I know I should be strength training more so that is my goal this week. Aim for at least two days.3 -
It will warm up this week here in the Mid Atlantic and I am ready for it! I intend to get outside and walk, and work on my neglected garden. I have only been having so -so success with fighting sweets. I have not gotten into those Girl Scout cookies yet which is a miracle, but they will be opened eventually. I remain AF (Alcohol Free) and am on Day 15 with that. There is NO question that was the biggest issue thwarting my weight loss before. If you are anything like me, glasses of wine leads to mindless snacking. So that's not happening now. I've lost 4.8 lbs from that alone.
It's Monday. Let's all strive to have a healthy week!6 -

@Walela617 "Don't you hate how they tempt us while we're waiting in line to check? Not fair!!"
That was the problem LOL. The wait in line at the pharmacy is no less than 10 minutes. I was standing there looking at them for ten minutes!! They were semi-small bags - two for $7.00. Classic Lays. I should be able to tell you how many ounces and calories per serving!!! I didn't touch them because my hands were full. They looked so good though. All I could think of is how long it would take me to eat those once I got them home!! Not to belabor a point but SMALL BAGS.....................5 -
Hi everyone,
Hope you had a nice weekend. I'm so glad it's warming up in Boston and all the ice and snow are starting to MELT - YAYY!
Maybe I'll be able to walk home all five days this week (2.3 miles each way). HOPE so! I need to incorporate more activity.
The lady from whom I adopted my cat came to visit yesterday and guess what? NOW the cat is hiding from her! I'm going to seal off the other rooms so I can try to keep her in the living room when Rachel comes again in April.
Have a great day!
I will check back in tomorrow.

Just finished typing this up And though someone might enjoy 💞
My coach has me incorporating ST with my trampoline rebounding sets. Here’s some of the combinations I came up with, each is around 10 minutes. So I rebound 10-20 minutes then ST for 10 minutes.
S.T. PAIRED UP AND Tested
Kettlebell + squats (3 positions toes + heels up + deep)
Bent Over Rows + Plyos knees up & side & back
Kick Backs & Side + Weighted one leg deadlifts
TO BE TESTED
Setups + Cobra + Handless stands
Push-ups wall & floor + AB Wheel floor and wall
Deadlifts + Plyos Jumping Jacks
Overhead thrusters + Wall Angles
Best wishes in your journey
Stay safe,
Love Karen

02/25-195.8-(Trend Weight: 195.6)- It’s been a very difficult month for me from start to finish. I’m keeping my meals pretty good but I’m still relying on snacks for comfort when the light outside fades and I’m alone with myself. I’m hoping that once I get through my best friend’s funeral on Saturday that things will turn around for the better. I’m hoping I can be more focused. I’ll be traveling tomorrow for groceries and general shopping. Dinner will be out but I will try to make smart choices. I will definitely bring home all healthy foods that fit within my plan. I think I will shop for less snacks as they are too tempting, even when low calorie or low carb. I need snacks that don’t taste sweet because that seems to just be a trigger for a sugar or substitute sugar binge. I need to STOP needing sweetness at night! I’m not a fruit eater, but even if I were I know the sweetness would trigger me right now. I need to go back to ½ to 1 oz of unsalted nuts or some cubed block cheese. Or perhaps some occasional skinnygirl popcorn. I did much better when I stuck to those.

Donna, nuts are a great idea. I'm impressed with all your ideas. You clearly know what works.
I hope things subside after the funeral. I'm sorry you have to go through this. Once things get back to normal you will have more control. Take it easy on yourself.

Hi everyone,
Well, Tomorrow is weigh-in day. I'm afraid I might be up again (been really "chowing down!"); so I need to pull out all the stops to make the "home stretch" of the final three weeks truly count! (I'd like to lose at least 10 lbs. from whatever tomorrow says by the end of this challenge.
Can you believe Saturday is March 1st? WOW. (At least the snow and ice is melting in Boston!) We had 54° here today!
I will check back in tomorrow.
Have a nice night,

Hi everyone,
So, as I feared, my weight is up for this week. This morning the scale said, 156.0, which is 3 lbs. UP from my starting weight. I'm sure some of that is bloat, but we'll see what the scale says next Wednesday.
This week I'm going to be diligent about food and activity logging and I will try to get at least 30 minutes' walking in per day. I still believe I can lose ~10 lbs. by the end of this challenge!
Have a great day, I will check back soon!
