Great running @Zaxa2021 .
I hear ya @tarun_yadavA . It is so much easier just to open then door than have to drive somewhere to exercise. Hang in there. Just one more week! I do not know viviamillm.
You are really getting in the mileage @SummerSkier !
@tarun_yadavA and @chris_in_cal When we did have the newsfeed here, I would get requests from random men often. I would look and if all of their friends were women or if they didn't let me see their profile at all, I would not friend them. Now, there just isn't any reason to unless you know them from somewhere else. I still miss the newsfeed and the friends I had there that are now gone somewhere else.
Thanks @kgirlhart . Somedays, I'm not sure how I do everything either. 😮 You are doing great. Sometimes I enjoy speedwork, but haven't really done any lately either. I may need to get a plan going again once the weather gets a little bit warmer. BTW, to post without spaces, you have to do "shift and enter."
It's that first step that is often the hardest @John772016 ! Congrats on completing two workouts once you got going.
Sorry for the minor setback @Scott6255 . Hopefully you will be back to normal soon.
Congrats on completing the HM @ContraryMaryMary . You did great considering how you were feeling. Glad you enjoyed it in the end. Love the pictures. You look great!

I got up early enough this morning to get in a wun before leaving for tennis. I had planned on a treadmill session, but it was 44F (6.7C), calm, and sunny so I opted for a driveway wun. I didn't want to overdo, so it was a true wun, with just a little bit of running to get done quicker, but not use too much extra energy. Avg pace was 15:04 min/mile with avg HR of 123 with a max of 139 bpm.
My team lost the tennis match. We could've won, but I truly think it was a matter of us not getting in as much playing time as the ladies in Knoxville do. I didn't play my best…just couldn't seem to get into the game until about half way through the second set. At least we had fun, and got some sun and exercise. My scores were 2-6, and 3-6.

Thanks for the race report. Everyone on this thread should meet up there and do this beautiful race with you next year.
;)
2:14 for a clunky hip hurting race sound like you are fit

I wanted to start logging my food again, and found a really good app elsewhere. Ya'll got me on Strava and it's pretty social. My fitness watch doesn't sync to MFP Now there are new hoops with this change in text editing. I'm feeling a pull to step off of MFP. 99% of the reason I open this app is to read this thread.

@chris_in_cal just use your web browser to read/interact with this thread. It's much easier.

Went to the condo gym today and for some reason the temp was over 80⁰F…..I'll have to try one of the treadmills in the upstairs gym instead next week and see if they're keeping it cooler.
Weird how the temp sucks the energy out of me indoors but I wouldn't even blink if I was outside running in it.7 -

You're doing great @daria0919 .
@chris_in_cal I do track my food on MFP, but mostly log on to see what everyone in this forum is doing. We are addictive, you know. I hope you'll decide to stay with us, but if not, I'll see you over on Strava.
Good start @AmunahSki .
I'm inspired by your dedication @yirara .
I wonder if someone set the temp up in the gym without management knowing @John772016 . That would probably zap my energy too. You did great.
Sorry about the empty spoiler above. I didn't realize I had posted the reply. I was trying to see if I could load a picture under the spoiler from my phone. Sometimes, the two systems work a little differently. But, apparently not. 🤣

I had a really nice 10.5 mile run today. I stayed up way too late last night and then we lost an hour for daylight savings time, so I was really tired this morning and didn't get started until just after 10:00 am. I wasn't really feeing it. It was drizzly and cold all day yesterday and when I headed out this morning it was cloudy and chilly. But as I ran it seemed to get better and by the second half of the run the sun had come out and it was excellent running weather.
Great job on your HM @ContraryMaryMary!

My aunt had a birthday yesterday, so we took her out for lunch after church today to celebrate. With the time change and not sleeping well the last couple of days, I took a nap after I got home, then I took a walk on the driveway. It was nice out - about 57F (13.9C).
Afterwards, I strolled into the neighbor's field, hoping to find some spring flowers popping through, but it's too early. I did see the first boom on my periwinkle though.
Well, I looked it up and they supposedly "fixed" the issue temporarily, but now I can't get pictures to load at all.
I don't know why this is all showing as spoiler. Humm.

Good run last night. I love going to the gym on weekend evenings. It's so slow and calm compared to the usual weekday evening rush. Unfortunately I didn't get to go on Saturday evening because my husband had plans so I had to stay with the kids. I'm not running as frequently as I would like for various reasons, but I am happy with the runs I am doing.

Hi everyone!
I was too busy on the weekend to post my run. We are starting a house renovation project and the roof is coming off, among other things, so we have to move everything out of our top floor and put it somewhere… One of the main uses of our top floor was storage and I had multiple moving boxes of clothes that are now too big for me and that there will be no good place to put after our renovation is complete. There was a voice in my head the whole time questioning if it was a good idea to get rid of them, what if I gain weight again at some point and need them, but in the end, I packed them up and will be taking them to donation. I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about this decision, but after the clothes are gone, it will be more expensive for me if I gain weight ;). What about you all? Have you gotten rid of clothing that is too big and no longer fits or are/were you keeping it around like me, just in case….?
Yesterday I ran 10.1 km with some strides. Today, I had a run with 10-12 miles at marathon pace, plus warm up and cool down. I ended up doing 11 around marathon pace (I was a bit slow on some and a bit fast on others). It was a really hard workout!!! My legs and back are really tired from all the box-carrying cross-training over the weekend, so I was very happy it went as well as it did!. I ran 22.7km.
114.9/300km for March.

@daria0919 the pup is super adorable!
@AmunahSki love shoe porn. I should do my own.
@Laurz9191 I get rid of the bigger old stuff. No looking back
15km for the month… sigh….another 3-4 weeks to go….

I'm going the other direction @Laurz9191 and I'm happy I saved some of my smaller stuff.
I need to make these keep/donate decisions right now, I'm glad you brought it up.

Hopefully I can join the group. First run in a long time yesterday! I grew up running throughout out my life. Have fallen off a cliff the last couple of years. Gotta get back on the horse!

Persevering yesterday was not a good idea as I seem to have brought my electrolytes out of whack. I felt miserable today until I had some salt. Still running wasn't too good today. Planned was warmup, then 4x 600m faster and 400m slower. I only managed two of those in the end. And then an old dude wanted to chat with me when I crashed down and just wanted to walk home. LOL.

I’m sitting here trying to get some motivation to get outside. It’s a beautiful morning - cool, clear, sunny, and absolutely perfect for running but my legs are a bit dead from Sunday’s half.

March 1 – 6.20 + 3.10 + 3.11 miles
March 3 – 5.12 miles
March 4 – 4.02 miles
March 6 – 3 miles
March 8 – 3.11 miles; 3.18 miles; 3.09 miles; 3.13 miles; 3.16 miles
March 9 – 1.16 miles
Total – 41.38 milesOn Saturday, I ran Peyton’s Wild n Wacky 50K as part of a 2-person relay team. For those of you who have been here awhile, you may recall you run a 5K every hour on the hour for 10 hours. You have to finish within the hour and can’t start the next 5K until the top of the hour. I ran Laps 1, 2, 5, 7 and 9. The race is held in a county park in Mt. Pleasant SC. I describe it as a large tailgate party with some running thrown in. There was a coffee truck in the morning, BBQ for lunch, Kona ice at the end, and a wide array of snacks (bacon, PB&J, cookies, chips, etc.) available to runners throughout the day. A DJ kept the music going the entire day. At 2:00 pm, they had a 5K race also so the course was pretty crowded on that lap. The course was all trail but since we were in the low country it was all flat. It was a beautiful day. Temp was 54F at 7:00 am for my first lap and 77F for my last one at 3:00 pm. I was definitely not used to running that! My team ended up 39 out of 65 teams. We also had some other friends travel down with us and they did a 5-person relay team. We rented an AirBnB and had tons of fun.
Pretty new shoes @kgirlhart! One of my friends bought a new pair of Brooks in that same color this weekend. Must be the in color!
What a beautiful place to be @ContraryMaryMary!
Hope you get our orthotics and back to your running happy place soon @tarun_yadavA.
Congratulations on your half @ContraryMaryMary! That’s a great finish time! You definitely deserve to take it easy and recover.
OMG @Daria0919 – that’s the cutest thing I have seen in ages! Adorable!
I’ve never seen Saguaros running shoes @AmunahSki – pretty colors!
Get rid of the larger clothes @Laurz9191! You got this!
Nice Nikes @Mari33a
