Had to look up Sweet Gum Balls and Monkey Puzzle Tree. Here are the pictures. The Monkey tree can grow to 90 feet high! Here is a picture:

I’ve seen these Sweet Gumballs before but never knew what to call them. Here is a picture of those:

Heather, I totally understand the feelings about an ex. I feel like that toward mine. If he needed me, I would fly out there, but like you, mine has a new wife(no kids). Cant change feelings.

    Lisa-The bathroom looks great!

Michele-Drill a hole of you want it there. YOU live there, not the contractor.

Re-I would be ecstatic to lose 1 pound a week. Congrats!

Is it wrong to tell you he looks like he's been driving for years!😁😂

Some kids have that look. He doesn't look 15! He looks like he's about ready to head to college.🤗🙃

Carol - your grandson is very handsome with his haircut. Looks very capable in the driver's seat. He is sure growing up fast.

Heather - glad your Ex is doing better and you heard from him. Will he have to remain in the hospital for that dialysis? I think I got him mixed up with your brother who had the cancer surgery. Last I recall, he was doing well?

Rita - yes, the monkey puzzle gets tall and spreads! As it grows, it will eventually drop lower branches which are like spikey and sharp. I managed to pick up some seeds. Evidently these trees are used for lumber in South America. The lumberjacks must have to wear heavy leather aprons and gloves to handle the limbs.

Lisa - it's been an experience watching chicken tunnel videos. Some of the creators are standing the the shadows while filming. Your videos are A#1! You have a very nice craft room configuration. Does Egg approve?😁

Rebecca - good luck on the swimsuit search. I think they have some really cute styles these days, crossing fingers you'll find something you like.

Allie words can’t adequately express how happy I am for you! I’m even doing the happy dance, lol! Margaret said some very wise words! This definitely your time and your family needs to realize that and not place any demands on you!

Heather, it makes perfect sense to me that you would still have feelings for your ex if for no other reason than he’s the father of your children. I’m glad you contacted him and that you heard back from him and hope that he continues to rally.

    Trying to catch up!

Rebecca - Try H2O wear. I worked in pools for many ,many years and they are the best I have found. Not cheap but they are fully lined and guaranteed for a year against pool chemicals. They come in lots of styles but not a big choice of colors and prints. My favorite for me is the scoop back tank. Good luck.

Allie - so glad you are doing well.

Everyone take care, Sue in WA

I have read some books lately that some of you might like. These are all non fiction.

Life on Svalbard by Cecilia Blomdahl——this is a new book that I found at the library. It has big beautiful photos on every page and a narrative that ate covers a year of living in Longyearbyean. If you like pictures of the Northern Lights, this book has a lot of them.

4000 Weeks by Oliver Burkeman—how to make the most of the time you have

Meditations for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman—-practical thoughts and suggestions for making your life better

Let Them by Mel Robbins—how to approach your own responses to people and events that trouble you.

    Re- thank you.

As for cutting my long hair . NOPE not going to do it. Mine grows so slow. I have not had it really cut, just trimmed every year or so and only about an inch at a time, since I was in high school and we will be having our 45yr reunion in Oct.. That is how slow it grows.. My hair is long, curly but thin (lost half from Covid) and fine. I like to leave it naturally curly or like having options to braid it or put it up in a ponytail which I do for zumba.

Just came in to take a break from working in the front yard. Moved and transplanted three of my huge pots of dragon fruit plants. They are heavy and over 5ft tall. Nice to have them up against the house instead of in the way of my green house. Tomorrow I will work on more and get the green house cleaned out and ready to plant. Need to pick up a few bags of potting soil(need to see who has the best price)

Almost time to go over and walk the dog, again. Went right after church so we may wait a bit longer beings the time change keeps it day light a bit longer.

Welcome @PeggyHeath Peggy! Most of us here don’t do the “friend” thing, but connect and support each other here on this thread. Congrats on recommitting to logging intake, it is the first step and key.

Lanette, wondered why the Monkey Puzzle tree was treacherous, found this in your link: “monkey puzzle trees, which can drop large quantities of big, hard cones in the fall once the tree is mature, often assaulting pedestrians walking below.” WOW! Wonder if they burst open so you can harvest the seeds, supposed to taste like pine nuts. Nope, no bad Caesar salad. To be honest, think it was a physical reaction to an emotional hurt I was having a hard time letting go of, despite exchanged apologies and forgiveness. ((hugs)) to you for not getting that one last time hug. ((hugs)) Thankful for your insurance tho’ $212 is nuthin’ to sneeze at. Hope Dr. Lisa has some good ideas for easing your lower back/si pain and that you DO get a good Caesar salad tomorrow.

Michele I’m with Tina and the others who say, cut the hole in the cabinet and recess the TP holder.

Tracey, thanks for the stunning northern lights and big dipper pics. Safe travels and have a great getaway at Kaitlyn’s.

Re thanks for the isopropyl alcohol tip, will remember next 🤢time.

Allie, you are not a hot mess, you are a champion! One foot in front of the other. What Margaret said about taking pain meds as scheduled BEFORE the pain hits. Must keep level in your bloodstream with no gaps. AND please keep Ginny’s, Rosemarie’s, Carol’s, Mo’s, Heather’s, Tina’s, Margaret’s, Evelyn’s, Beth’s, Re’s and everyone else’s words handy for whenever Tracy or Sean or Dan ask you for help. Please take care of the gift you’ve been given.

Heather, glad you were able to text your ex and he can use the at home dialysis. Well done on finding a tactful way to fulfill your niece’s request.

Rosemarie, those sweet gum balls look a lot like the sticky balls dropped by sycamore trees in the Bay Area. My DH and his brother used to collect them and throw them at their “enemies” when they were bad bad boys.

Lisa, Sounds like your brother was right there with them. Ondansetron/Zofran “…genuinely helps in seconds” sounds like a miracle! If this🤮 issue persists I’ll ask for it.

Tina when I had PF, it was just one foot but yes just like a nail hammered into the heel.

Rebecca might you find something you like here? https://www.landsend.com/shop/womens-plus-size-one-piece-swimsuits/S-xfh-xez-y5c-xhc-yp2-xec

Beth years ago Mama and I went shopping for bathing suits, and ended up buying rain hats. 🤣

Debbie that Nepalese food porn has my mouth watering. Was that gulab jamun with the candle in it?

Thanks Barbie for the “Let Them” by Mel Robbins. I’ll add it to my list, might help me avoid future episodes…

    Later, lighter, lovelies!
