Work was busy yesterday. During the audit I needed to go out into the plant which means I had to wear a Nomex jump suit and hard hat. Definitely not my best look. Actually, the Nomex barely fit. I need to fix this, now! I think I may cut alcohol completely. My eating isn't awful, but there are too many wasted calories from beer.
Decided to stay home last night instead of going out with friends. Spin class had low attendance, but those of us there enjoyed the Irish theme and the workout. Had left over wings for dinner. Didn't log, but it was the only meal I ate yesterday, so I know I was green. Tim did the taxes last night while I played with the dogs. Ok only the young one plays, but the older dog comes over for loving. It was a good night, but I stayed up a little later than I like.
Today is a light day. After work, I'll go see mom. Then home. Not sure if we'll stay in or go out. I vote for staying in. I'm just tired. I go to neurology on Thursday to set up my sleep study. Hopefully that will give some answers. Hopefully, the answer isn't sleep apnea. If it is that is another reason to lose weight.

Didn't do much after work yesterday. Decided not to go to mom's. I will go today. Instead I played with the puppy. I swear we played fetch for 2 hours. He is a happy dog. Though I did catch him counter surfing one time, he listened well and got down. Tim went for a run, then ran some errands. He didn't get home until almost 9:00pm. I was pretty much done for the day by then, but I hung out for a little bit before going to bed.
Slow day at work today, though it started very early with a Teams message at 6:45am. Some people in my position come in very early. I'm not one of them, but I will take calls and messages from home in the early hours.
Post-work, I will go to mom's. She needs cigarettes and gets very cranky if I forget. After 50 years, I've finally stopped trying to get her to quit. Hopefully it will be a quick visit. Then home and maybe to trivia. It depends on how the doggo is doing. I hate having him in the kennel all day and then putting him back in after only a couple of hours. We used to take him to doggy daycare on Mon & Wed, but his trainers said we need to not do that for a few weeks so he gets used to the rules.

Lost track of the days, its been busy. I am ready for my upcoming time off and trip to some sunny weather.
Yesterday was a weird day , Ate lunch (which was plenty of protein )and then hit a wall energy wise. Finished out my day at work about 4:30 pm and then took one of the dogs for a walk thinking it would make me feel better to get some fresh air. I did ok but then ended up having what felt like a hypoglycemic attack half way through. Got really shaky, sweaty, light headed and weak on my way home. Thankfully I was nearly home by the time it got really bad. I managed to get inside, ate some food (even though I really didn't feel hungry) electrolytes and started to feel better but still had no energy. I have no idea why this happened, I ate breakfast, lunch and got enough water . Feeling better this morning.
JFT
Get through my heavy meeting day !
Go for a mid day walk and step away from the computer more when I can
Start packing/last minute laundry
Finish any bills that need to be taken care of before I leave for a week

A question for anyone who wants to reply: Are you getting lots of "friend" requests on MFP from strange men? Not sure why, but I seem to be getting them frequently. I just decline but what a pain.
Recap 3/18 T ~ Another windy day. Just not wanting to go for long walk with dog. Hubby took her around the neighborhood instead. Good for hubby & dog.
- Make baked ziti for supper & freeze remaining ground beef / limit snacks & sweets ~ string cheese, kettle chips & 2 mini peppermint patties / log all food / net calories zero ~ neg. 208 / 64 oz. water ~ 72 😐️ "not a horrible day"… again
- OT exercises (6x), tape 30 min. (3x), putty (2x), 😀

Pissed me off… again / rehearse music / read / digital declutter / get Fitbit working & syncing correctly ~ had to research, forgot this Fitbit has restart in Settings on Fitbit itself… that finally resolved issue but I lost steps per hour, oh well / other? wished MD happy bday, scheduled lunch w/ friend & former co-worker who's retiring end of this month, topped up heated birdbath 😀 ta-da!
JFT 3/19 W ~ Very crap weather today… more high winds, mixed with rain, which will turn to snow as temps drop later on. No dog walk.

@cschmitz110515
Yes, creepy guys everywhere these days!
1 -
Going to have the mexicain cookies my friend level. Wasn't planning it, but it's ok. Dessert at lunch ok. Went over my lunch calories.
1 -
Well my sweet tooth really kicked in today and I think I have to honestly call it a binge. Been a long time since I did that, but it's still part of me evidently. I think in reaction to some stress we've been having with the neighbor. Oh well! My husband says it can be triggered when my weight goes to its lowest too. (Go figure..)
Hour commitment - Now I won't eat again until after 5 pm. I won't throw-up. No more desserts today. None of the same foods at dinner as at lunch. Concentrate on vegetables/fruits for dinner. Can still have my dose of metamusal.
I feel like crap!😫
Embarassing!
4 -
You should be SO proud of yourself… you have not had a binge in a long time. For me… its a constant struggle yet. I haven't managed to control it.. but you have. Be proud of yourself.. its one day.. and I know you… your right back on track already!!

I woke up again today… reminding myself of what I did to lose the weight before. I KNOW what to do.. why is it so hard then!
I think part of my reason is now I have so much to lose.. close to 40 pounds. And I tell myself bad negative things.. like you'll never lose this weight at age 74… your tyroid will keep me from losing weight (which is an issue, but the doctor so far refuses to put me on meds for that).. that I'm OK being the way I am. All things that are not helping me at all.
THe past 3 weeks I 've been sick with an awful cold. So has hubby. And what were we doing… not only laying around all day and not exercising.. but eating ice cream because it felt good when you have a sore throat.
Today I feel better.. so I went to the gym. Had an OK workout. I worked in the yard. I went on another walk .. another 3 miles. I did great all day!
Then.. tonite I'm baking oatmeal cookies, and I think I have eaten 4 so far. And these are not little cookies either.
So once again tomorrow.. I'll start over for the upteenth time. never give up
JFT, 3/20
- log all food.. no matter what
- concentrate on water
- go to gym

@angf0679 Even though I'm posting to practically strangers, I love when I post updates that I did my "stuff". Just one of the reasons I love my JFTers!
I'm leaving noon Thurs for an overnight visit to my folks, and have an OT appt in the morning, so posting tonight for tomorrow…
Recap 3/19 W ~ Very crap weather today… high winds, mixed with rain, which will turn to snow as temps drop later on. No dog walk. 😮 Late this afternoon rain switched to hail, then snow, and we had thundersnow! 🌩️ Still snowing ❄️and tomorrow is first day of spring. Life in Wisconsin.

Well, I woke up and my computer is dead as a door nail (is that the expression)! Using my husband's computer. Plus I'm leaving Friday morning for a weekend away at Sequoia for our anniversary. So I won't do JFT again until next week, but will do hour commitments if needed (and if I have connection). Thank you all for being here.
Today, no desserts! And I can eat lunch early due to my lunch meeting.

My eating was off yesterday, but I met my alcohol goal of 3 beers. It's easy on trivia nights to go over. I've also started limiting my days out. Hubby and I had gotten into the habit of eating out 5 days a week and eating leftovers the other 2 days. We still aren't perfect, but we are cutting back.
I have a neurology appointment today to discuss my exhaustion and likely set up a sleep study. Hopefully, I get some answers other than, "You seem fine. Your thyroid is almost in range, your blood sugar is good, not insulin resistant…". In the last 10 years I've gained 90 pounds, with 50 being in the last 2 years. That is crazy to me. I've never been great at eating, but I was ALWAYS active. Now I am just plain exhausted all of the time. I still teach spin classes a couple of days a week, but not like I used to. Hell, who wants to see a fat-*kitten* instructor when they are trying to get in shape. Enough self loathing, time to move forward.
Coming back to work after the doc appointment, then likely home to nap. I sleep about 2 hours every evening before bed and still go to bed around 10:00pm. My watch says it isn't "restful" sleep. Mostly "light" sleep which is not regenerative. Sigh. I just want to ride my bike again. Great now I'm crying at work.
No plans this evening other than playing with the pups.

Well MFP is working for me again. Was stressing me out with the community bit not working right.
I've had such a busy week so no time to catch up anyway!
Last Saturday we had a great day out.
Sunday my dad came round with an electrician to check our oven because it hadn't been working right. He wired it up properly (because it hasn't been) and then still determined it was no good so my dad had to order a new oven for us. (He's also the Landlord)
But he made an awful comment to Ash about his mum. I've I'd had heard it, I would have gone nuclear there and then but Ash told me after and I was that shocked I just cried.
He said something along the lines of "Maybe it would be better seeing as she's in so much pain, with the way it's going"
And I've took that as "she's better off dead". And I felt like he just treated her like a dog that was about to be put down
I spent the next two days crying about it because it just really disturbed me. We don't need clinical, cold logic. We need compassion and a bit of f***ing hope!
Anyway, Monday was my birthday so that was wrecked. Also Marley's ADHD diagnosis was on Monday and that didn't go well. They've not diagnosed her but also not discharged her.
They're getting at "maybe see how she is when she's matured more" and I'm just thinking if this is to do about maturity then why have the teachers picked up on it and why am I the one in an ADHD meeting if it's just "maturity"
Anyway, because I was already at rock bottom with what my dad said I just didn't have it in my to argue or fight about it. Which I now feel rubbish about because that's my kid and I should have done. So we get another assessment in a year. Another damn year.
Anyway the last couple of days have been okay. We purposely went out when my dad fitted the oven and we've been going on walks to clear our heads. We feel much better and saw ash's mum yesterday and she looks a bit better than last time and certainly had alot more determination than last time! Which was positive and nice!
As for my diet. Just kinda doing my own thing atm here and there. Its not perfect but I'm sure once my life becomes a bit more stable then I'll be able to log better!
Miss you all!

Accomplished just about everything yesterday, but I skipped lunch. I was quite upset after the neurologist appointment. I sat in the exam roof for 50 minutes before I was seen by the doc, then he spent less than 10 minutes with me and had the receptionist schedule a sleep study. Serious, it could have been a phone call or an email. As I sat in the room, Tears seeped out of my eyes because I was so tired and thought somebody might be able to help. He just kept saying I was "sleepy" but it's more than that. Worked late to make up some time. I'm salary, but I still like to make sure I get 40 - 45 hours in.
I was still upset and a bit defeated when I got home. Hubby wanted to take me out to make me feel better, but I told him I'd rather stay home. I took a nap and he made dinner. Nothing fancy, but it was good and fewer calories than I would have consumed if we went out. We watched some of the NCAA basketball games and then went to bed.
The plan for this evening isn't much different. I have to go to mom's after work, but nap, dinner and basketball are on the agenda for later. Just one more hour at work…

I might rake the rest of the yard for him next Saturday (weather permitting). I am going to ask him if I can clean up the yard for him to make it look nicer. I am sure he could like the help.
