Morning all, My mornings are rough this past week..up too late up too early…so didn't get on here as much. I ate all the jelly beans in the house and will kill anyone who brings them in. I keep gaining and I am so done with this. I am reading a book and it is saying that all the weight in your middle is all the sugar you eat..get rid of it. So that is one of my goals..Sorry got interrupted and it's now 9 hours later…

I hope you all had a great Saturday

@fabgeekmom Yes, there is always something! It was a nice trip. Good job with the swim. Lasagna, one of my favorite meals! I bet it was good. That's good you are having salad as lasagna can taste so heavy and a fresh bit of salad would help.

@cbabie That's how my night/day was today: I went to bed at 10 pm and got up at 3:30 am, just couldn't sleep any longer. My husband loves jelly beans, he would do the same thing. I hope you can get rid of the sugar in your house.

Hi all. We went up to the mountain town and met the jewelers in a cafe. We spent 2 hours sitting there talking to them about not only my rings, but other things. It was a nice visit. By the time we were done, there was no time for pie...if we could have just gone to one of the pie shops and immediately gotten a piece, that would have been one thing, but there are long lines because the pie is so well-known. So, we just came home. I worked on an art piece for a show that I have to turn in a couple of weeks from now. Today, I have to go grocery shopping and take one of my pieces of artwork to the coffee shop where it will be on display and for sale.

Morning all. At some point during my get healthy journey someone recommended the book Atomic Habits. It was so good that half way into it I bought the workbook too. Once I caught up in the workbook, I read the rest of the chapters along side doing the workbook. I highly recommend it! Happy Sunday!

@cbabie Definitely get rid of sugary foods! How’s your husband doing with his smoking cessation? @trooworld That sounded like a fun trip. Too bad about the pie. @rosied1226 I’m glad the book is working for you. Hi, all. Last night’s dinner was good. I only ate half of my lasagna to save room for dessert. I only ate a small piece of cake and one scoop of ice cream. Previous times I’ve eaten more and had a stomach ache. So no upset stomach! That’s a win. It’s warm outside so I’ll go walking after breakfast. We’re going to our daughter’s house for dinner. We’re bringing the cake so hopefully most of it will be gone.

@rosied1226 Good morning! I have read Atomic Habits, it's got some good ideas. I didn't know about the workbook. Thanks. Have a great day!

@fabgeekmom It was a fun trip, it was very scenic. The jewelers live up there and they showed us a video of a bobcat that they accidentally trapped when they were trying to trap a skunk that was eating their chickens. The bobcat was very vocal growling, it was really cool. That was really good to only eat half of the lasagna. Great job with dessert, too!

Hi all. Yesterday, I ended up ordering Sam's Club to be delivered (same day). When the food arrived, it was missing 2 dozen eggs + one of the Greek yogurts. I was mad. They will refund it but now I have to go get eggs and a Greek yogurt, which defeats the purpose of getting the food delivered! I vow to start tracking again today. I am toying with the idea of tracking in MFP again. Currently, I am tracking in a special app that my surgeon's office set me up with which is for bariatric patients. I don't like it as much as MFP, though. Today is work all day long. Hopefully the traffic won't be bad.

@trooworld That sounded like a cool video of the bobcat. I don’t do pick up anymore but when I did it was frustrating when I didn’t get what I ordered. I like tracking on MFP. Hi, all. It’s warm again today and I went for a walk this morning. Now I’m sitting on the front porch under an umbrella. Tonight we are eating leftover lasagna and then going to see our granddaughter perform in the all city band. Every year the middle school band members try out for this concert. This is her second year.

@fabgeekmom It was cool. Yes, it was very frustrating to not get what I ordered. It defeats the purpose of getting groceries ordered! Yay for a nice walk in warm weather! Wow, that's great your granddaughter made the all-city band. I hope you enjoyed the performance.

Hi all. I was very tired yesterday. I hope I'm less tired today. I decided to track in MFP for now. I may change my mind when my premium MFP is up for renewal. It was raining here yesterday which was a surprise to me. I didn't know it was going to rain. Luckily, it wasn't raining when I left work as I didn't have my umbrella on me.

@trooworld We got our rain last night when we went to bed. I heard some thunder but it wasn’t much. We always worry about a storm at night. Hi, all. Today DH is having cataract surgery. DD is taking us to the surgery center. DS is cooking dinner. He’s making an America Test Kitchen buttermilk chicken recipe. I’m going to do some kind of exercise after breakfast before we go.

@fabgeekmom I kind of like when it rains when I am trying to fall asleep. I hope the surgery went okay. How long does your DH have to be in the hospital? That's nice that your DS is making dinner. One less thing to worry about.

Hi all. I got off early yesterday at 1 pm: my MIL was getting out of the hospital and we had to pick her up, but we didn't have to do that until around 6 pm. I just felt like I needed a break. My DH and I went for coffee and read. We got my MIL home and that was about the end of our day.

Hello all. I guess I'm the first one here today. :) I had a busy day yesterday at work. Came home and made a nice asparagus and couscous salad and topped it with shrimp. I'm glad today's Thursday, the week has went by pretty quickly.

@trooworld I forgot to reply yesterday. DH is much better. Surgery was outpatient. He went grocery shopping with me and went for a walk. He can do light exercise but can’t do gardening, swimming or woodworking. The salad with shrimp sounds good. Hi, all. Today we are going to the Botanical Gardens for the first time of the season. It’ll be nice to see what’s in bloom. We’re having turkey burgers on the grill tonight with air fried French fries and salad.

@fabgeekmom Oh I'm glad to hear that. That's good he can do some activity. The Botanical Gardens sounds like a fun trip. Do you have a membership? I hope dinner was good.

Hi all. It's been nice this week: no traffic at all...I can only attribute this to it being spring break and everyone must be out of town. I think we are going to go to Sam's Club tonight to get that out of the way. I don't like to go any time besides first thing in the morning but if my husband goes with me, I am willing to go at other times. My anxiety gets very high. I lost 1.2 lbs this week.

@trooworld Great job on the weight loss! That’s good that traffic was light. Good idea to go to Sam’s tonight. Yes, we have a membership to the gardens. Hi, all. It has gotten hot here, finally! I’m not sure what I’m doing for exercise today. I might go to the pool or go for a walk. DH can’t go to the pool as he can’t get water in his eyes. Tonight we’re having scallops. I’m going to sauté them in a little butter.

@fabgeekmom Thank you! That's good you have a membership and can go when you want. That's good the weather warmed up. I love scallops.

Hi all. I ended up having a migraine all day yesterday and, to some extent, it's still there. The migraine med I took didn't take it fully away. Sam's Club with a migraine was a bit annoying but it wasn't too busy so it was tolerable. Today, I am going to a museum about 1 1/2 hours away with a former coworker. It should be fun as long as my migraine doesn't come back fully.

@trooworld That’s too bad about the migraine. I hope you are able to enjoy the museum. Hi, all. I’m going swimming today. The scallops were good last night. I have some leftover for lunch today. I’m making beef stew in the instant pot tonight for family dinner. I’m using a recipe in my Milk Street cookbook.

Hey all, haven't been around, haven't been into tracking although my eating habits have been ok. I keep trying to get back into and then not. But yesterday I bought a pumpkin pie for a treat, I had once piece and will freeze the rest rather than eat it for 4 days.

It actually didn't taste as good as I remembered. Maybe it was a bit too rich for me. One thing I hate is my tastes changing as I get older, although it is healthier I guess.

Skimming posts- @trooworld I'm glad your MIL is out of the hospital hope she is doing better. And same @fabgeekmom about your husband

Today I will try to track again. I got Hello Fresh this week, and their meals tend to be high in cals, but I split them into 3 portions, rather than 2, which helps.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to a yoga class- the first one I signed up for. It's a slow yoga, where you hold a pose longer, rather than go quickly from one to the next. I cant do the fast yoga right now bc of my hip. But I'm sure I will still be terrible at it lol. I've always found yoga hard bc I am typically very tense lol. Hard for me to relax and let go.

    Rainy here today and tomorrow.

@its_cleo I’m glad to see you are back. Good idea to freeze the pie and divide portions of the meal service. The yoga sounds like fun. Don’t worry about not being able to do the poses. That’s why you’re taking the class.
