Yes, that makes sense. I for one have poor water retention. If I drink water, it doesn't take long before I make a trip to the restroom. Does this affect you as well?

Alright Yall ik I've been MIA a bit but I'm still going strong πͺ We are near the finish line of day 10! Work has definitely made it 10x harder tho. So in response I've cut back my workouts to be just 2x 45 min walks. The lifting can wait until my body adjusts the the sleep schedule and activity level. (This is a pace, not a sprint). Happy to see so many have joined! Thank you all!! Your consistently motivates me so much when I desperately need it haha π

@chasegregoryy I also typically struggle with consistency. Breaking that and cultivating discipline is one of the reasons I'm doing the challenge. What do you feel keeps you from being consistent? Or what drives you to procrastination?

DAY TEN COMPLETE
Still getting on with it - yesterday was a better day mood wise - and today I am only working a half day and three days off after so I am hoping that I can get a good few days where it is easier to maintain without feeling like it is dragging.
I am worried about the turn on weather that is about to happen too. I really hate the rain and I know that it will be a struggle to convince myself to exercise outside.
Forever motivated by the thought of my holiday bod though haha

Took a break from the Hop River Trail for the next few days -staying closer to home for the weekend, and Monty has a haircut on Monday. This is one of our usual walks.

This challenge is so much easier when I'm not at work, which isn't very often!! But that has meant three days in a row where I have found it a breeze and easy to motivate.
Back to the grind tomorrow though - but I will keep ploughing through. First two weeks are done and I'm seeing results.

If anyone is interested, the next round of the Biggest Loser Challenge will be starting at the beginning of May. I have been a member of the group since the Spring of 2023 (the beginning of my weight loss journey), and they helped me to lose 90 pounds and get to my goal weight. It's a fun and creative group, comprised of twelve different teams. It kept me accountable and motivated - a fun competition but in a very supportive way. I like it so much became a co-captain of one of the teams (Determined Desert Tortoises). Here's the link to the challenge if you want to check it out.

On day 42, using Heart and Soil/Paul Salidono Animal Based nutirtion- Meat and Fruit, Fitness is Cardio outside in the morning and Medi Strong lifts 5x5 and Gym Jones for afternnon gym. Books read so far: Working with emotional Intelligence: Daniel Coleman, Leaders eat last- Simon Sinex, Inner Excellence: Jim Murphy (current Book), My wife and I did it two years ago to have a shared hardship with my son while he was in Ranger School- (he graduated- almost 24 years to the date I graduated) he graduated on day 74 so I failed on day 74 cause we drank a bottle of Midleton. This one ends 2 days before a cruise to Aruba, and I will begin 75 Hard for life; in 42 days lost 25 lbs, BP is 111 over 70, Cholestrol is down in the 170 range from 250 (yeah I was in a bad place for about six months- a little PTSD can have unrecognized effects) good luck and have fun.

I wouldnt use the FB community, used it before, to many 75 Karens telling you what you what is a fail vs. encouragement. I used it for humor over stupid questions and people that were horrible about telling you when you failed.

Your work outs are what you make them, going full on for 75 days is not expected. You can do yoga, stretch, go for walks etc.. If you have a trainer they will tell you the same thing, so it is not as horrible as it seems, If were easy it would be called 75 your typical day.

DAY 15 COMPLETE
I post a day behind so that I can read in the evening, and then roll over and go to sleep without looking at my phone. And yesterday I found my emergency chocolate bar which I tuck away in the very back unseen until the need arises.
Pleased to say that I did linger a stare for a short while, but then I closed the drawer and did not eat it.
This morning - day 16 - our very lovely admin team lead brought everyone in the team in an Easter Egg. I have nowhere to hide it, so I will update you all tomorrow if I managed to resist with it sitting next to me staring at me for the next nine hours!
Yesterday morning, the workout was super enjoyable; but in the evening we had torrential rain and it was time for my outside exercise. This morning I also went for my outside exercise and the wind from the storm was giving me so much resistance.
WHY is life playing with me right now π€£
I persisted AND I succeeded - and only through typing this have I realised that I am actually proud of myself. I guess that is what this group can give you. The chance to see what it is that you are actually doing.

It looks interesting, but I plan to start bulking in July - but if the challenges are as fun as people in the comments are saying then I am tempted to put my bulk off for a month.
