    Round 297 #3

    10 days goes fast... So fast that I missed the last round! 👀 I intend to weigh myself at the start and finish of the round and will update my progress within the group at the end. My height is 5'3" and my current weight is 63.3kg (139.55 lb). My ultimate goal weight is 54kg.

    Each day my goals are to:

    • Log my foods/exercise into Myfitnesspal

    • Eat healthier and reduce the intake of junk food

    • Reduce alcohol intake and sugary drinks

    • Aim to go to the gym 4 times per week.

    I'm ready! My goals are to log daily, exercise at least 30 minutes per day, log food daily. I'm not going to beat myself up. I quit smoking 2 weeks ago and I'd rather gain a few pounds than go back to that awful habit.

    I'm ready to do better than I did during the last two rounds. By tomorrow's post I should have recovered the key to my brain.

    Once I'm back in and after I've wrestled the naughty gremlin in control I will be back to "normal".

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 297 (my 227th). So grateful as always @Quiltingjaine.

    Goals for every round;

    First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!

    to weigh less at the end of the round than the start

    be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end

    I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

    Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

    Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available.This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 66 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

    I was laughing so hard I was crying! DH asked what was so funny so I read your post. He clearly couldn’t visualize it. I’ve been looking a pictures of dresses as I will be GMOG in August. I agree - those unrealistic models help no one! Best of luck.😘😘

    I'm ready! My goals are to log daily, exercise at least 30 minutes per day, log food daily. I'm not going to beat myself up. I quit smoking 2 weeks ago and I'd rather gain a few pounds than go back to that awful habit.

    Back from travel! I'm going to give myself the rest of this week to recover before I weigh in again because I'm feeling really bloated. Water intake was not ideal, as expected, due to road trips (11 hour drives) and then not having access to water several times during the weekend (graduation itself was 4 hours and no food/drink allowed) then Stepson's golf tournament. Water was terribly expensive and only 1 location which meant having to walk across the entire golf course and missing half the tournament just trying to get water. If I had known I would've brought a backpack filled with water! Oh well.

    5/21 - DNW - First day back. Goal is over 100oz water each day. I'll plan on weighing in either this weekend or early next week once I give my body a couple days to recover and drop some of this bloat/water weight. No gym this morning but planning to get 2 days in tomorrow and Friday at minimum. I can do hard things!
