    Day/Weight/Comment

    ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND 195.4

    05/21-195.4 💠 - (Trend Weight: 195.2)

    05/22 – 193.8 ✅ (Trend Weight – 195.2)

    05/23-193.6 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 195.0)

    05/24-192.2✅ - (Trend Weight: 194.7)

    05/25-193.4 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 194.6)

    05/26-193.8 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 194.5)

    05/27-193.2 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 194.4)

    05/28-194.2 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 194.3)

05/29-194.2 💠 - (Trend Weight: 194.3) No change in my eating plan yesterday as the meals were good but the snacks went overboard. Therefore, not surprisingly, no change in my weight. Luckily my trend weight is holding steady. The poor thing is giving me a chance to behave properly and stick to my guns. Perhaps today is the day that I won’t disappoint.

🌺🌺🌺🌺 05/30-193.0 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 194.2) Down 2.4 for the round. This is normally No Weigh Friday but I decided to weigh since it’s the end of the round. Also, in all honesty I wanted to see how my ridiculous dinner affected me. Weekend Resident Food Daughter brought home more divine goods from the Resort/Country Club she works at that has their own bakery, but also commissions some of the finest baked goods around. I stuck to my pre-logged foods until about 5:00. It started when I attended a school function with DGS where we were met at the front door by the hot dog and chips stand. Who can resist FREE? Also, who can resist dinner when you haven’t eaten it yet (I usually eat at 8:00). Then snack was the luxurious food from daughter. I opted for 2 ½ stunning overly sweet cookies with 8 oz of real 2% milk (not my usual lower carb Fairlife brand). I’m surprised at the drop on the scale. I anticipate that maybe this will show up tomorrow but for now, I will relish in it (pardon the hot dog pun). Great job everyone for hanging in here. Lots of progress was made for so many. See you in 298.

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

    5/27 - 171.0

5/28 - 169.3 - I'm not entirely sure why I'm up. My best guess is that I'm dealing with a lot of DOMS and general inflammation. My knee, for some reason, feels very stiff and swollen. I woke up unable to bend it easily in the middle of the night and it's not gotten too much better since. We had some storms roll through last night and my back and other injured joints aren't exactly happy today. Dinner is out at the restaurant that always brings water weight. I've pre-logged for dinner and have some room for lunch which will hopefully keep me full enough and still be able to meet goals. I'm feeling pretty good about it overall. I've already gotten all my steps in for day so I'm feeling confident I can make things work!

@quiltingjaine I saw "Joseph" way back in the 90's in Detroit when Donny Osmond was playing the lead. Excellent play!

@Chapter_3 @itladyee Overwhelmingly successful but absolutely exhausting!
I set my goal to make sure every single person left feeling good instead of having a financial goal.

@stephanj Survival mode is scary. Hang in there, you will get through this because there is no other choice. It’s hard on our bodies to be in this kind of high alert nonstop stress. Do your best to be gentle on yourself. I’m pulling for you in every way.

    Hello MFP Friends 🌞

I've made it to another round which for me is a great accomplishment. 🤞 Hoping that I complete this round on time each day.

Right now I'm a total scatter brain for a variety of reasons. While I need to do so much more I'm keeping my goals simple:

    Post on time daily

    Measure body fat weekly

Eat "protein first" according to the rules of my "Diet for Life"

Accept stress relief wherever I find it.

Under promise and over perform? Who knows. Stay POSITIVE. I may surprise myself.

    Rnd 297 SW - 157 lbs

5/21- 159.0 Still behaving badly. Poor sleep leads to all night grazing or dare I admit, binge eating. I despise that word however it's used. The bottom line is a loss of control.

Today needs to be busy. The challenge is will I get things done or will I have regrets later. Good 😇 Vibrations. Let's DO This!

    5/22 - 159.4 lbs

If this keeps up I'll need a category for "regress" instead of progress. Better but not good has become so old it stinks.

    5/23 - 159.2 lbs

Tanita scale : 18.5% fat / 59.3% water / 22.2% lean - How I wish body composition per my scale was accurate. I know better than to enjoy the feel good moment. Measurements work best for me.

Water retention for this long is peculiar. My norm is around forty and up to forty-five on a bad day. I'm watching my blood pressure and eating foods that are naturally diuretic. If I don't drain over the weekend I may have to give in and see a doctor. Best to confirm there's nothing unusual going on.

All day yesterday I was insanely hungry. Fortunately I had nothing easy to nibble and was too lazy to fix anything.

I've pondered how someone who lives between more fat and less fat, never sticking at slim, manages to quell voracious physical hunger with a few ounces of hot tap water. Does lazy really beat hungry? 😉 I need to be more lazy.

5/24 - Missed a day 🙃 So much for on time.

    5/25 - 157.4 lbs

    Tanita scale : 18.5% fat / 55.7% water / 26.8% lean

Sipping and nibbling potassium rich foods all day since Friday. Yesterday I was full of liquid I missed my weigh in. There's no way I'm getting on the scale on such a full load. The water weight is coming off. I can see the edema draining in spite of my falling face first into the carbs for two days in a row.

    5/26 - 156.6 lbs

Water retention has improved over the weekend. Hope to be all good within a couple of days. It's up to me to behave myself by avoiding the causes.

I'm in the middle of another round of misbehaving. Admitting to this, yes. Owning this, no. I've had an unfortunate period of multiple blips. Each had been discarded and replaced with good behavior. Repeatedly.

Periodically I backslide and struggle to find my footing. Somehow I always find my way back. I'll regain my good sense and ditch the nonsense for good.

    5/27 - 153.4 lbs

It's body composition day. I haven't taken full body measurements yet but I want to post this on time. I've already miss a day this round.

    Tanita scale: 26.7% fat / 51.7% water / 21.6% lean calculation / Category - Overweight

YMCA calculation: Body fat 23% / Fat mass 35 lbs / Lean mass 119 lbs / Body Fat Category - Fit

DoD calculation: Body fat 27.9% (max 36%) / Body fat in weight 43 lbs / Lean body weight 111 lbs / Category - under maximum (I use the under forty guidelines for DoD. My goal is to be fit rather than "fit for my age". )

I've confirmed this crazy water retention is my allergy to conifirs. After handling pine lumber I was sipping benadryl and watching the edema expand. I'm grateful there is nothing cardio pulmonary happening after spending decades on prevention. It's time to find a local allergist and add back a few preventive meds.

Calories are fine but food quality is poor. Active but not working my targeted cardio and strength routine. Since February I've regressed significantly.

Knowing what to do and actually getting it done has been frustrating. I'm working on self care that is firm and kind without coddeling myself and accepting excuses.

    5/28 - 154.0 lbs

The day began well then it slowly fell apart. Quick food are to blame. I need to keep a few full meals in the fridge and freezer. Portioned, home cooked, and ready to heat & eat.

I'm at my best on two meals a day. Maintenance made easy coupled with never buying a larger size (measured not by the labels). 😲 Another good habit to be reclaimed. It's time to DO Well rather than explain what's needed. 🤩

    5/29 - 154.4 lbs

Water weight is under control at last. It's been several months since I last weighed & measured at my lightest time of day. Most likely, I'm 12 to 14 lbs overweight today vs 7 lbs a few months ago. No more moving backwards!

    5/30 - 159.6 lbs 😭

    Follow-up post for weight:

After checking in early I finally weighed myself. Notes:

Late evening / After a heavy dinner out/ Beverages & coffee

The worst possible time and conditions to weigh hence I'm 6 lbs up. I consider this totally artificial!

Imagine, I put off weighing given a big breakfast! WTHuh?

    The Day's First Post:

    Hey there MFP Friends 😊

This morning I'm making a quick incomplete post to ensure I don't miss a second day this round. No weigh in yet because I'm way too full at the moment. The artificial gain will be psychologically earth shattering although intellectually I'm aware of the cause. Rather than mentally subtract three glasses of water and a frozen breakfast sandwich I'll post an update.

Yesterday was another bad binge day. Potassium rich bananas were awesome. However, I was like a monkey on crack and ate the entire bunch over night watching amine as my ancestors looked on in shame.

The one positive is the stubborn edema is completely relieved. All of the natural fruit sugar with a few oreos added in are having a corpulence building party as I write. I'll need to double up on the podrunner.com routine for a few days.

Till later my peeps! Great SUCSESS to us all. "Fist🤜🤛Bump"

Thank you very much for the encouragement! I am still here, and I should become more consistent over time. This round wasn't my best, but it also wasn't one of my worst!

    Round 297
    Jillian Age 39 and 5'1"
    HSW: 192.4 lb (April 2025)
    CSW: 190
    GW: 140
    UGW: 120
    Mini GW: 160

    Previous Rounds:

    Round 294 : 🔴 192.4 to 192.6 (+0.2)
    Round 295 : 🔵 192.6 to 191.7 (-0.9)
    Round 296: 🔵 191.7 to 190 (-1.7)

    RGW: 188 🔵
🏃‍♀️ 5/21: 🟢 189.2: Hooray! I am tracking, but still working on walking more.
🏃‍♀️ 5/22: 189: Slow and Steady is perfect. 🐢 Planning the calories for my meals before I eat them has been helpful.
🏃‍♀️ 5/23: 🔴 191.3: I was almost discouraged here! The danger of eating out is not really always knowing the precise calories even with the databases that exist.
    🏃‍♀️ 5/24: 191.1
    🏃‍♀️ 5/25: 190.6
🏃‍♀️ 5/26: 190.1: I'm getting back on track once again. I will try walking on my treadmill tomorrow. I'm feeling good today.
    🏃‍♀️ 5/27: 🔴 191.1 Maddenening fluctuations!
    🏃‍♀️ 5/28: DNW
    🏃‍♀️ 5/29: 189.5
🏃‍♀️ 5/30: 190.6: I basically plateaued this round. Stagnation is still better than gain. My goal in the next round is to get away from 190, and walk more.
