My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

No intentional exercise but I’m still unpacking linen closet/beauty supply boxes from the basement that has been stored. I’m also still going through clothes upstairs and bringing them to the new walk-in closet in my bedroom. So many stairs! DD and DGS are back for the weekend. We may go out of town Saturday to the movies to see Lilo and Stitch as daughter has the day off. Probably out to dinner too. I’m trying to be a good girl until then. I have no problem avoiding the snacks at the movies as long as I don’t put one kernel of popcorn in my mouth. It’s addictive1 It’s the restaurant that will likely get me. Dining out when in the city is such a treat for a small town gal like me!

The calories in snacks are a lot. I put them in my tracker in the morning and try to stick to the amounts.

two Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies 640cal and then a bowl of Bear Crunch Popcorn 735cal
Yikes, that is like my total calorie intake for the day. I do prefer that my intake each day includes snacks though! I am currently into popcorners white cheddar, because I have a tough time with regular popcorn sticking in my teeth. I account for 8 of them, but some days I have 16. One of my other faves is wasabi almonds, 1/8 of a cup or just one tablespoon.

Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.

If we don't ask we don't get right? 6pm NHL Stanley Cup final game 2, Edmonton/Florida. A rematch of last year, where Florida won the whole thing in 7 games. Yes, we have TVs at Spice Hut (unlike my job at the other restaurant), but I like to pause, rewind, and watch in pjs or the like. Fake beer (40 calories per can) is chilling in the fridge : - )

The wound from my tumor removal was bleeding, so I decided to leave it open to the air instead of putting Aquaphor on and covering it...it will probably heal faster. Its looking better after the last 18 hours.

My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

CURRENT WEEK:
Day 22—06/05—191.6 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 193.2) It was a very good day yesterday. But I did get extremely hungry at 2:00 a.m. so I stuck to a very low cal and low carb yogurt. No intentional exercise but I’m still unpacking linen closet/beauty supply boxes from the basement that has been stored. I’m also still going through clothes upstairs and bringing them to the new walk-in closet in my bedroom. So many stairs! DD and DGS are back for the weekend. We may go out of town Saturday to the movies to see Lilo and Stitch as daughter has the day off. Probably out to dinner too. I’m trying to be a good girl until then. I have no problem avoiding the snacks at the movies as long as I don’t put one kernel of popcorn in my mouth. It’s addictive1 It’s the restaurant that will likely get me. Dining out when in the city is such a treat for a small town gal like me!
🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️Day 23—06/06—191.4 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 193.0) I usually don’t weigh on Fridays (during the school year). I experimented today and found there to be an exact one pound difference between 6:30 am and 10:30 am. Naturally I am posting the 10:30 am lower weight lol. I lay back down for more sleep after the bus on Fridays since I usually only get about 3 to 4 hours of sleep before school (night owl). Because I also drink 8 – 10 oz of water with my Fosamex when I first wake up at 6:00 it usually skews my weight higher. Today was the last day of school (1/2 day) so I will be able to weigh at normal time (about 9:00 am) until fall starting next Friday. DGS is passing to the 2nd grade. He’s very excited! We are still hoping to celebrate tomorrow with Lilo and Stitch and a restaurant of his choice out-of-town. We don’t have a movie theater in our small town. Here is Owen getting off the bus today.

🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️Day 24—06/07—190.4 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 192.7) A nice little drop this morning. My weight-in was about an hour earlier than usual. Got up early to get ready for the trip to the movies. TMI after a couple of no-go days really helped. My diet was on point yesterday also but less physical movement than I’ve been getting lately so I didn’t expect to see the scale move this much. They have chosen Golden Corral for dinner. Oh my, all you can eat. But must I really eat “all I can eat”? Feeling weak. Maybe being this close to the 180’s will help me. I’m not feeling it though, honestly. I’ll try to watch the dessert plate at least which is A LOT since that is my biggest temptation.

Seems like every time I eat any sweets of snacks my cravings go crazy. Then I dive into a carb/sugar overdose. So far the only thing that works is no snacks at all after dinner.

made the mistake of recording my starting weight on the gym scale. My home scale is reflected here!🤷🏻♀️

I went out of town last week and it was hard to keep the calories in check, but I did log everything.
I've reworked my calorie goal based on my results so far. I'm finding that 1500-1600 calories/day is working well, on average based on this trend line. I'm OK with very slow change as long as I'm heading in the right direction.
I then averaged the calories for this challenge and it came out to 1566 cals/day, so I'm going to stick with a 1600 calorie goal and see how that goes. I updated the conditional formatting.
I then updated this dashboard so that it stays green at or below 1600 cals/day, which is satisfying when I choose wisely.

Good luck keeping the calories in check at Golden Corral. Desserts seem like a gazillion calories. Lol, personally, I would rather have 2 steaks instead of one large piece of cheesecake.
