    @itladyee THAT is why I want something with an easily replaceable battery. My Garmin Vivofit 3 was perfect. The Vivofit 4 has gone through 3 years of batteries in well under a year so now they suggest a Vivofit 5 which you have to plug in and forget to put back on!

    6/05 - 168.4 - Bouncy bouncy! I'll take it. Not much to report on other than following my meal plan/pre-logging and getting my steps and workouts in. Water has been good, as well, with 100oz a day, yippee! I've gotten dinners planned and need to pre-log them for next week so I can determine if I need to find alternate lunches or if I can eat on the same lunches BF requested for himself. Saturday is very hectic with our monthly fire department meeting in the morning so I'm hoping I can squeeze out between work to knock out grocery shopping. I get off early on Fridays so if I stick to my plan, I could get everything done and get home and unloaded about the same time BF gets home from work (assuming he doesn't have a last minute call that makes him late home). I do need to come up with dinner plans for tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday but I'll need to have input from BF for that.

The fiddler always insists on his pay and he’s a greedy little bast##d. Anyway, I finally did manage to get my trend weight today afterall by figuring out how to delete it in my fitbit. Weight up, trend down. Stay tuned…..

    🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️06/05-191.6 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 193.2) It was a very good day yesterday. But I did get extremely hungry at 2:00 a.m. so I stuck to a very low cal and low carb yogurt. No intentional exercise but I’m still unpacking linen closet/beauty supply boxes from the basement that has been stored. I’m also still going through clothes upstairs and bringing them to the new walk-in closet in my bedroom. So many stairs! DD and DGS are back for the weekend. We may go out of town Saturday to the movies to see Lilo and Stitch as daughter has the day off. Probably out to dinner too. I’m trying to be a good girl until then. I have no problem avoiding the snacks at the movies. It’s the restaurant that gets me.

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 298 (my 228th). So grateful as always @quiltingjaine .

    Goals for every round;

    First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!

    to weigh less at the end of the round than the start

    be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end

    I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

    Spoiler Warning

    I am the driver in my life, not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life. "Health is wealth".

    5/30 142 – (trend 141) 4.07 miles walked – drove 60 miles to meet up with DD & DGS for the day, steps were obtained whilst waiting for then to arrive! Not proud of the last 3 days, I’ve just gone ferrel!! At least I’ve got a 0.2 pound loss, but it seems that this is becoming a pattern as the last 3 rounds of the previous round I ran amuck too ☹. Maybe I should look at just a 7 day round lol ! I’ll just move on and keep trying.

    EW Rnd 297 142

    SW Rnd 298 141.6

    5/31 141.6 (trend 141.1) 9.06 miles walked. A good start to the round with sensible eating yesterday. Up to Sheffield today for youngest DGD's 4th birthday party, there will be cake, but intend being sensible on everything else.

    6/1 144.6 (trend 141.6) ouch! ☹. Overindulged at the party yesterday & no exercise either 😪.

    6/2 142.6 (trend 141.7), that’s better, yesterday & during the night after the party I felt very bloated and uncomfortable, last night I was so tired, I went to bed early and slept all through, feel so much better this morning – lesson learnt? 13.74 miles walked.

    6/3 142.6 (trend 141.8) 9.82 miles walked.

    6/4 141.8 (trend 141.9) 6.85 miles walked. Halfway through!

    6/5 142.2 (trend 142) 7 miles walked.

    OSW: 237.8 (Nov. 2016.) I was actually at 250 in 2011 or so…
    OGW: 199 (just to say I did)
    Maintenance Range Goal: 200-205

    Simple Goal for this round:
    -Log it before you eat it.
    -Hit it hard on the front end of the ten days.

    Round 298 Posts
    This is my posting format….

    Month/Day: Scale Reading - First thing today after bathroom visit before getting dressed. (Calories In – day before)/ Comment

    5/27/25 : 225.2 SW before.

    5/31: 226.4 (1917 CI)
    I did not weigh yesterday, so my SW is from my last step on a scale. I can’t complain about this morning’s reading after the road trip.

    I want to hit the next 6 days hard because I have another road trip the end this round. I am not going to take a scale because it’s a fly-in fishing trip in Ontario. We have weight restrictions for the final leg of the trip as we fly to a remote lake/fishing camp. Seven days of bliss as we haul Walleye and Pike over the gunnels of the boat. Catch and release except for what we eat for lunch every day. The food will be plentiful, but we will take it all in with us.

    6/1: 226.6 (1899 CI)
    I need to declare war on carbs. I am sure there is residual damage from my road trip.

    6/2: 228.0 (!)
    Gads! So yesterday I declared war on carbs…. I lost count of all the mindless carbs I ate. DW took cookies to a potluck and brought some home. I ate one every time I walked by the container. I am so weak between the ears.

    6/3: 227.4 (1545 CI)
    No cookies yesterday in spite of DW idea that there needs to be a clear cookie jar on the counter now. (because her mom did) We have grandchildren to spoil! I realize that nobody is physically forcing me to eat anything, so I don’t blame DW.

    Starting to pack for the trip. We all need to keep it to 45-50 pounds of “stuff” so the pontoon plane can lift off the lake.

    6/4: 225.6 (1916 CI)
    Wow, Still reeling from my Body Fat % calculation…………… I realize it is not 100% accurate, but it gives me a baseline for comparison (with my future self,)

    6/5: 226.2 (?)
    A double bacon cheeseburger for lunch with DGS and a piece of Key Lime Pie after a meeting last night….

    Final packing for the fishing trip today along with a million other things.

    Yesterday DW had an ENT appointment about her dysphonia, and they ruled out growths or polyps on her vocal chords. Thank you God. On to the next Dr.

    6/6: 225.8
    Can’t sleep. Too jacked about the trip. This scale reading taken at 2:30 am. It’s going to be a long day.

    See you all toward the end of the next round.

    6/7: DNW

    @Chapter_3 The picture of health!

    @quiltingjaine I have a Speed Queen washer and I absolutely can not say enough good things. A standard load actual fills with water. I could take a bath in the deep water fill. It has an agitator! You can open the lid and the water keeps filling. You can actually soak your clothes. It’s not too deep but you can do large loads because you can actually fill it.
    The best part is being able to use fabric dyes.

    6/06 173.2 Two weeks ago it barely got out of the 40’s for a week straight. Yesterday it was 80 by 8am and topped out at 95. It was a hard work day to push through. I’m just not acclimated.

    I ate a whole Newmans Own frozen white spinach pizza when I got home. It’s my lazy comfort food. It’s not the worst frozen pizza out there- the entire thing is 1050 calories. I also went out for a dish of strawberry ice cream with a friend.

    My laundry rant made me think about how most of us assume our methods of doing basic tasks are the normal or right way.

    This extends to our methods for losing weight or even what we view as the ideal body or what good health looks like.

    Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 298
    May 31 – June 9, 2025

    SW: 128.4

    5/31 – 129.0 Did not get this posted on the correct day. I did a mini binge Friday night, and it is showing on the scale. I also had BAD night. I’ll expound below.

    6/1 – 128.8 Friday, I had my physical as I mentioned last round. All went well, then she offered me the pneumonia vaccine. I figured why not. Well, man, it better be worth it. I was not warned how crappy I could feel (note that many have no reaction – like my sister). My arm was so sore that I could not sleep, and did not catch on that more was manifesting. I ended up with definite stomach ache, back ache, headache, and I think low level chills. Advil did not cut it, so I added Tylenol. Finally with 5 pills in me I felt good, which I was glad because I had a 10 am at my daughter’s house to show possible dresses. After, I headed to the mall, did returns feeling good and thinking it was over. Nope, it was just that the 5 pills had not worn off. Was in bed or on the couch the rest of the day and went to bed at 8PM. It is almost 7 am Sunday, I THINK it may be over, but just popped some Tylenol just in case.

    6/2 – DNW Just was not in the mood to face the scale today, but heh, it is Monday and there is always a chance for a new day and to do better. I expect today to be good.

    6/3 – 131.0 Oh, man. Given that I had a “perfect” day, and then went late night crazy, I wish I HAD stepped on the scale yesterday. A number like this would have stopped me a day sooner. So up until 8 pm last night, I had fit in a walk (first in at least a week), had planned and tracked all day, was under target, AND was not even hungry when I got out of line. Go figure. I am now past the vaccination side effects, so that cannot be my excuse, and I am committed to not do a third evening with such behavior. I am heading to the gym to get in a session today, something that has also been lacking for over a week. Happy Tuesday all!

    6/4 – 130.4 Excellent day yesterday. Hour in the gym, calories tracked and on point. I think the number will improve once my digestive system gets back in order. No TMI this morning, which is not typical. If I can get back into the 128’s by the end of the round, that would be great!

    6/5 – 129.4 Ok, now we are getting back to reality. Did not get in any exercise yesterday, but lots of packing and cleaning up. Early morning at my mom’s ALF, but found and resolved several issues, then returned two more dresses, came home and got the house ready, cooked dinner, finished cleaning, drove to maine (again) and unpacked the car. Today, I plan to get a walk this morning, before it gets hot. Then errands to run, and then the day just gets normal.

    6/6 – 128.8 Long day yesterday. I made to Maine Wednesday night and still had a little unpacking to put away yesterday morning when a panicked phone call came in from my mother’s private aid. She was calling 911. Long story short, had errands to quickly run to square away the property (Hubby has to be up there for condo issue), then hubby from me from ME to MA. I unpacked while hubby got the condo all turned back and I proceeded to the hospital. Was planning to stay until 8 and let mom sleep, then at 7:30 they came in and told us she was being transferred to a higher level hospital. Ambulance came for the transfer at 10 PM. I followed her over, saw her to her room, and went over things. Drove home and was about to crash fully dressed on the couch, when the admitting doctor called to go over things. Anyhow, exercise NOPE, but calories perfect (I did track). Drinking my coffee and hope to be in the car in 45 minutes heading back.

    I can:
    ✅ Show up/post daily
    ✅ Stay consistent/Don't change the plan
    ✅ Push through the hard moments
    ✅ Make progress—physically, mentally, emotionally.
    ✅ Start the momentum
    Measurable Daily Goals
    🚶🏽- Closing my rings M-S Move = 700/Exercise = 45/Stand = 12)
    🍎- Tracking/Under Calorie Budget (~ 1650 ~)
    ✅ - Macros - Protein (75g - 100g) Carbs < 75g
    💧- Water - 50 oz minimum
    🚫 - No Wine
    ⬇️- Downward trend
    🚶🏽🍎✅💧🚫⬇️
    SW RND 298 ~ 231.4 Goal this round 227.6 or less than started, whichever comes first!
    ***Vanity Round *** Cute outfits, wearing a “belt”, loving what’s I see in the mirror!!! #FueledByVanity
    5/31 231.2 🚶🏽💧⬇️ Walked 2.9 miles yesterday, Calories over budget, so will probably show up tomorrow. Getting back out there for another walk. Not sure if I will get close to 3 miles but I will give it a go….
    6/1 232.2 🚶🏽🍎✅ Didn’t think I could do 3 days in a row at 3 miles, but I did. There was no pain, ok, minimal, so I kept going….i know i need a day of rest but I think Im going to push to Tuesday (work day) when I only do treadmill….Calories 1752, so bump from the day before, I guess. I’ve got to get back to logging my CICO in my spreadsheet so I can start to troubleshoot the lack of downward trend.
    6/2 231.8 🚶🏽🍎✅⬇️ Going for day #4 today then rest tomorrow. Calories 1686. Water!!!
    6/3 230.4 🚶🏽🍎✅⬇️ Yes!! 4 days in a roll clocking 3 miles each day and happy to see the scale come down. Today, active rest day. I was on the treadmill for 30 minutes. It's a work day so I'll be sitting for about 6 hours but have nothing else physical planned for the day. Calories 1964. I've been focusing on eating (dinner) earlier…between 3 & 4…but unfortunately that leaves room for snacks..but as long as I can control the snacks to stay under calorie goal… Win???
    6/4 231.4 🚶🏽🍎✅💧 Less active just by the fact that it was a work day but I did manage to close my rings (700/45/12). I considered yesterday an active rest day and did 30 minutes on the treadmill. Calories 1616. Finally a decent water day. It's wet and rainy today and looks like an all day thing. Unlikely to get 3 miles in but will do my VRBox/Dance for a bit. My treadmill does not give me the same mileage as outside so I just use time for measurement there.
    6/5 230.8 🍎✅💧🚫⬇️ I didn't close my rings because I put my watch on the charger at 8:30 and didn't remember until 3:00 ish….urgh. Even from 3 on, I was at least 75% on each ring so I would have closed them… oh well. I didn't get my walk in due to the weather but I repotted about 10 plants which gave me quite a calisthenic workout :) Calories 1947. Headed out today but feeling very sore….hopefully will walk it off!
    6/6
    231 🚶🏽🍎✅⬇️ 3.1 miles in yesterday. I did it in parts as my DH decided to walk with me. He did for 2 miles but at a much slower pace, then I did the last mile at my normal pace. Calories 1937. At the top of my calorie range for 4 days this round which seems to equal maintaining…..😔 I need to stay around ~1500 for the rest of this round!

    @quiltingjaine ~ over hear drooling over that burger!! I usually put my watch on the charger while I'm updating MFP and I have an alarm to retrieve it. Apparently I silenced the alarm and …the rest is history! I agree with you though. I loved my Fitbit as I could get 5 to 7 days on a single charge! Sometimes I consider going back to it but I do enjoy having everything in once place.

    @GayleKCR ~ go Gayle go!!! Yesterday's walk wasn't bad. I'm not sure if it was the slower pace or if my body is getting used to the walk. Today will answer that question 😄

    @Chapter_3 ~ Great Picture!!!

    @musicsax ~ I'm sure I've asked you before….but…do you get your miles (walked) all at once or multiple events during the day. Once my body is accustomed to 3 miles, I want to increase it. Wondering if I should add on or go again at a different time of day.

    @Skyleen75 ~ Now I want pizza!! I may do a crustless one later….hmmmm…. Fish would be a better choice especially to keep those calories down….

    @SModa61 ~ that was a long day!!

    “Embrace change and watch yourself grow.”

    💜 MY MISSION STATEMENT 💜
    Show up for myself daily—with strength, grace, and purpose.
    Choose progress over perfection and stay the course.
    Honor my body through movement, nourishment, and belief.
    Each step moves me closer to my healthiest, happiest self. I
    am strong. I am steady. I am unstoppable.

    Thank you @quiltingjaine 🌸

    5/31 RTW-Yesterday was a free for all after traveling home from my uncles cabin. Back on the wagon today.
    6/1-140-Still feeling the repercussions of the road trip and unnecessary carbs. Today will be cooler, so we won’t be stuck in the house.
    6/2-140- Made cinnamon rolls to take and ate one while I was there. Off to PB this morning and a fundraiser dinner tonight. No bread today.
    6/3-DNW-Today, today I will be back on the wagon. Yoga this morning, horse, yard work and some quilting when it gets hot….
    6/4-140-PB this morning and hope to stay out of the snacks.
    6/5-141-Went to lunch and had the burger in a salad but did have a few French fries. I’ll get back to PB and my green, protein packed smoothie today.

    6/6-141-Off to Pickleball (PB) and need to bring my green smoothie with me so I don’t walk in the house and eat everything in sight. It’s cooled off a bit, so yard work and horse.

    @Chapter_3 -Love the picture!!!💚

    Lazy Dog replaced Miller’s Ale House which had “the best fish and chips” DH had found. I have to say he was equally impressed by LD and as I think I mentioned, my hamburger was great! We’ll definitely go back.

    @deepwoodslady Donna, it’s in the glossary PickleBall. 😘

    Rnd 298 SW 133.0

    5/31  133.0  83 days until DGS’s wedding. Of course I am now wishing I had bought the dress that wasn’t my favorite because that was the one DH “LOVED” My initial comment was “I don’t love this one.” I may have to go back and see if it’s still there. I absolutely HATE buying clothes!

    6/1   133.0  I went back and bought the dress.

    6/2  132.5 Great Greek yesterday, one chicken skewer and small salad, 1T natural PB in the late afternoon.

    6/3  133.0  No explanation for uptick. I made Crack Chicken Casserole for dinner and ate 1 serving of 4. We love leftovers!

    6/4  132.0 We had a short session at the gym yesterday morning but at least WE WENT! Carl took blind friend to lunch. I ate the last portion of the casserole plus, later, 3 chunks of chicken from Great Great w/tzatziki. Today a new challenge a different restaurant that’s only been open for about a month or so, called the Lazy Dog.

    6/5  132.5  Great cheeseburger with some green chilies, onion and guac and great fries - I ate too many🤷‍♀️- they were crispy, just as I asked.

    6/6  132.5 I’m  okay with being “stuck” here. I hardly ate yesterday. No TMI X 3 - I ran out of prunes (don’t groan, I have always loved them) and forgot to pick up more.

    Does anyone SAVE the glossary post for reference??

    Another Opportunity to Stay True to Oneself MFP Friends 🤩

    I've been fairly awful lately for many reasons. Of course I know better, blah blah & yak yak etc...

    We always do. Last round closed 2.6 lbs up and 20lbs overweight.

    Nearly everyone can recite what's healthy. Performance is more complex.

    I'm anticipating a 😈Hellish😈 two weeks. To make it through, my goals are simple:

    * Show Up - 10 of 10 posts

    * Weigh daily

    * Post body composition twice

    Rnd 298 SW 159.6 lbs

    5/31 - 156.6lbs

    My day was so lazy that laziness itself would ask what's your problem if this were possible. No further comment. 😉

    6/1 - 156.2 lbs

    Tanita Scale: fat 17.8%/ water 60.0%/ lean calc 22.2%

    Not yet respectable but I'm doing better!

    6/2 - 156.6 lbs

    I'm still a hot mess but I keep trying.

    6/3 - 155.6 lbs

    Body composition numbers are off between this week and last. I'm sure it's because I did not measure well and/ or average. I'm uncertain if either were done well.

    This is not important right now. Until my macros and my strength training routines are on back on schedule, accuracy is less meaningful.

    Today I'm benefiting by documenting recent muscle loss. The need to gain muscle is undeniable. Without dense muscle I risk becoming frail. It's also proof that heavy physical activity is not the same as my targeted exercise cycle.

    Tanita scale: 22.5% fat / 55.7% water / 22.8% lean calculation / Category - Overweight

    YMCA calculation: Body fat 28% / Fat mass 44 lbs / Lean mass 112 lbs / Body Fat Category - Acceptable

    DoD calculation: Body fat 33.0% (max 36%) / Body fat in weight 51.4 lbs / Lean body weight 104.6 lbs / Category - under maximum (I use the under forty guidelines for DoD. My goal is to be fit rather than "fit for my age". )

    6/4 - 156.4 lbs

    Tanita scale: Fat 22.3% / Water 55.0% / Lean calc 22.7%

    Waking is the best time to get on the scale until I'm back at my "goal weight". Mid day fluctuations aren't informative right now. However, it's more important to weigh daily. When I skip things go haywire.

    6/5 - 157.8 lbs

    Tanita scale: Fat 23.1% / Water 54.3% / Lean calc

    22.6%

    Over ate yesterday. Bananas always show on the scale with immediate effect.

    6/6 - 154.8 lbs

    Tanita scale: Fat 22.7% /

    Water 54.5% / Lean calc 23.8%

    No comments today & no time for browsing the round do far. Wishing everyone well. 🙂

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 298 (my 228th). So grateful as always @quiltingjaine .

    Goals for every round;

    6/6 142.2 (trend 142) 7 miles walked.

    6/7 141.4 (trend 141.9), 5.8 miles walked.

    6/8
