Thanks friend! I do feel better, but I have a ways to go still. I have always been a large lady, and I had come to terms with that. Obese, but healthy. Now, I have a glimmer that I can change that. Its mental uncharted territory for me, but kind of exciting. I started at 248.6 on May 15th, and presently 237.0. 11.6 lbs down. My joints are less sore, and I can go up and down the stairs easily. Who knows where this will take me!

Precious photo.💖. Reminded me of my step father as he would walk around our home acreage, surveying the property, appreciating all his and my moms hard work. They had a big garden, even mounding the soil in long rows, with grass in between. It was an Asian thing. Then with his 40+ bonsai trees, the place was magical. He was just the man my mom needed after her and my dad divorced. They married in the Portland Rose gardens, and throughout their marriage he brought her a rose every Saturday at 10 am, (when they married).

    Men need their quiet time!

Glad you got your 10 hours! Cheering my mug to you!

You have good people skills friend! Glad you enjoy helping people. Its probably very rewarding to see them happy.😁💖

    Funny Bernese story!!😂😂😂

Tucker was intimidating at first for me. I mean I would stumble out of the trailer I would stay at, to see Tucker galloping at me with a stick in his mouth. Well, not a stick but a small tree trunk.😂😂 I would have to stand firm so he could say good morning in his normal rub his body and practically knock you over thing!

So I was silly. Last Wednesday I bought my sister and I pizza at a great place in Anacortes Wa. It was a large and we each ate 2 pieces. Have more than half left over. I have bundles of 2 pieces stacked in the freezer. It will take me eons to finish. I planned a piece today for dinner. Its pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, tomato and black olives and big slices so 300+ for a slice according to this site. I just used Domino's even though its better than Domino's. They're wrapped in foil. They should last a month or 5 right?

Ezie will be 9 in Sept. The wetlands starts right across the street from her school. They did a walking field trip there a few weeks ago and she came home telling about the salt marsh field mouse and the pickle weed that they eat. I was impressed that she learned and remembered so much about it. She even asked me if I had seen the pickleweed and if it was still green or if it had turned red yet.

Stayed home from church and watching it online today.
DH is at a toy show with his friend(customers, not sellers, though he does have plenty he should start selling so he doesn't take over even more of the house-already took son's room along with his own room). I am taking advantage of the house to myself so getting chores done that I have been putting off.
Taking a quick tea break before starting the next one. Next is clearing off the kitchen table and going through all the snacks that have piled up. If I am not going to eat them, or dh or ds(I can drop some off for him if I find ones he would like) the rest are getting dumped. DH said there is nothing there he will eat. I need to do better at tossing stuff

😀 I listen to podcasts from Dr. Chatterjee and others and continue to learn more about the bad effects of sugar and processed foods. The more I know, the easier it is for me to stay away from them. The other thing I learned is that cravings don't last as long as you think they do and if you distract yourself, they'll go away. Somehow it's easier to think that food cravings should be indulged but cravings for sex or alcohol or gambling or shopping or stealing or illegal drugs aren't OK and thus can be avoided and not indulged.

😀 Lisa, what a lovely setting for Corey.

😀 Lynn, I love your idea of eating an apple. I like the crunch and sweet juiciness.

😀 Got up early this morning to allow time for all my early morning practices, plus breakfast, a walk with the dogs, playtime for Annie and her dog friend in the fenced yard, grocery pick up, watering the plants that need regular watering, and washing mor fence panel (18 done and 4 still to wash), and got back inside by 10 to find that the air conditioning was already on. My noon walk with my friend got cut in half because it was so warm (I wore short sleeves, and yes, I slathered sun block on face and arms)

Sipping my favorite tea ever! In a large insulated cup put some pure lemon juice in, just to cover the bottom, then sprinkle in some sugar free lemonade mix of your choice. Next add two tsp of honey, and mix with a long spoon. Lastly, add a mint tea bag and a peach tea bag. Fill up with boiling water and seep, stirring well. Its just such an enjoyment!

I love the picture. It reminds me so much of where my dad used to always sit when it was a warm day. He had a bench that looks very similar and it was under a big tree next to their little pond. Now, that is where David, the guy that is living at mom's(was in the room mates trailer until she left with the trailer, leaving the guy homeless)spends many hours, talking on his cell phone to his family back in Mexico.
That is the one spot on the property that I can almost always send a text. Many other areas on the property I cant. I can't send pictures in texts anywhere there(but I can send them on FB)

Debbie I remember those hard plastic rollers, and even worse, the ones that looked like a net covered spring with brushes poking through. Yuck. How much does your mini chainsaw way? What model is it? I’ve been wanting one but fear my wrists are too weak to manage one.

Lisa, so thankful to hear the Skyrizi worry has been lifted for another while, and that you’re holding the cardiologist off til after the GI test results. You model for us how to champion for our own health. Love love love the pic of Corey and Egg in their favorite spot.

Tina good to hear from you! Your DH is able to walk two miles a day with a screw working loose in his ankle? How soon can he get in for the second opinion? 4 months to see a surgeon would be expectable here in the rural wilds, but thought you were in a more urban location. Too much time too close together can really up the annoyance factor. ((hugs)) Con VERY grats on taking off the weight and fitting into former clothes.

Tracey what horrible choices for Lauryn’s friend. Injury so severe the surgeons won’t even try to address. (cry) Is “Maid” the Canadian equivalent of total disability/Medicaid here in the US? Started watching Good Night, Good Luck. It looks to be very absorbing. I remember watching Edward R Murrow on TV in the 50s.. We need him and Walter Cronkite too.

Heather writing about the box of books you can’t let go, sounds like inspiration to me ;)

Allie you’re right. Wacky sleep will drive you nuts. ((hugs))

Carol hope you can get in to see Dr. soon. What Beth said about a new Dr. to manage your depression better, ((hugs))

Lanette, yes I told the GP. about the COMB study and supplements when the oral surgeon took me off the alendronate. GP wanted to put me on HRT, but I said NO! due my family history of breast cancer (bio mom twice twenty years apart, half sister 3 different kinds at once.) COMB was my best counter offer. We’ll see. Winco’s bulk (deluxe mixed) nuts are the best, and the worst ;} I have to limit macadamia nut consumption to the 8-10 g range when I have pineapple and yoghurt for breakfast.

Rita love Lucy’s radar ears and Wicket’s picture of tolerance ;)

Rebecca thanks! Does it smell good in the field?

Lynn smooooch that pooch! Con VERY grats for that healthy switch, the 11 lbs gone is your reward.

Church, dogs to powerline meadow, watered parking area plants, amazed to see some sweet peas sprouted up despite neglect. Been working on components for pasta e fageoli at Tuesday’s casserole-a-thon. Soaked 3.25 lbs of small white beans Wednesday. Made Garlic toasts (and croutons for Lutheran Grief casserole) and boiled beans Thursday. Froze cooled beans in thirds Friday. Saturday reduced bean water by half. Sunday sautéed onions, garlic, seasoned with salt, pepper, cinnamon, divided into fourths with bean water for freezing. Will schlep it all to the church kitchen Tuesday and hope my guesstimated quantities are good enough to fill the four baking pans. Pastor’s wife will bring the parmesan cheese. I really like finding ways to use donated foods, in this case 8 day old loaves of French bread, boxes of elbow macaroni and a big ol’ jar of small white beans. Wonder what else is in the pantry for next month?

    Later, lighter, lovelies!

Tracey: So sad for Kaitlyn and Bridget. We Mamas never stop caring for our babies.

I’m going for my booster jab this morning, then I have my Monday Painters Group after lunch. DH is going out with his birdwatching group, so I’ll have a quiet morning.

Gotta go start my day 😂

Hey kids - Just a quick driveby. Need to get out while it's still only 70 degrees. Corey brought down a ton of brush that I need to haul up to the burn pile… and I need to do some more trimming first thing, then start hauling. Will be 80 degrees by noon, and I'll be inside by then.

    Love y'all,
