My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. This breaks down to 0.7 lbs per challenge week. I don’t think that is too much to ask of my mind, my body and my spirit! I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

Day 25—06/08—192.4 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 1917) Well, there’s my typical couple of pound gain after travel/restaurant/sitting. Hopefully it won’t take more than a couple of days to come back off. The movie Lilo & Stitch was really good. I think most all adults and children alike would enjoy it. I stayed away from the drinks and snacks at the theater but not away from the dessert table at Golden Corral. My bad. I’m one pound over my goal for this week now. Just 3 more days to get there. I’ll be working hard for it!
🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️Day 26—06/09— 191.0 ✅ ( Trend Weight – 191.5) I'm working my way back down to before my Movie & all-you-can-eat buffet day where we celebrated the end of the school year with 2 of the DGC. My lowest weight (On Saturday Morn) was 190.4 so I am close. My trend weight is continuing to slowing drop and I am hopeful that things will go well this week as I don't see any immediate obstacles. I am now below this week’s goal weight as I continue to try to drop 0.7 lbs per week so I will land at a 10 pound loss for the challenge. Playing catch-up is too hard so I must stay the course! This week I want to put my main focus on water, incorporating exercise (not just movement) and seriously limiting my snacks. Too much of a good thing is still a bad thing…..

Day 22—06/05— 169.6 - Today was meatball day...47 meatballs! They smelled great....tasted great, too ! Plenty of future meals. Really going to try to get to that 169 mark this week.
Day 23—06/06— 170.6 - National Donut Day....guess what I WON'T be eating?
The wound from my tumor removal was bleeding, so I decided to leave it open to the air instead of putting Aquaphor on and covering it...it will probably heal faster. Its looking better after the last 18 hours.

Day 25—06/08— 169.6 - Had a tuna sandwich for lunch and spaghetti with meatballs for dinner....and a granola bar for dessert. And that will be it for food....no snacking. I may have a diet Snapple.
Day 26—06/09— 170 - Didn't have breakfast. Had a small salad and a piece of quiche for lunch. Dinner was a hard boiled egg sandwich and 2 Milano cookies. NO snacks again tonight. Been crocheting to keep the mind off the snacks. Tomorrow I have a baseball game so it will be a bit of a splurge day.

. Hi. I’m an unretired (by choice) senior from central B.C., Canada. Back for another round. After being an absolute backsliding turtle for the past ?18 months, my Ultimate challenge goal is to lose 20lbs.

Day 22 ~ 06/05: 179 yard project 75% finished. Road trip to Kamloops; packed lunch etc but forgot utensils ☹ so off plan.
Day 23 ~ 06/06: 180.8 Here we go again. Shoveled sand until ds (dear son) arrived and took over; paddled 90 minutes then shoveled a bit more after dinner. Slept well!!
Day 24 ~ 06/07: 178.2 Happy dance. Not a lot accomplished before heading in to work.
Day 25 ~ 06/08: 179.2 Stayed close to “on plan” yesterday(27/23 WW pts) but broken sleep; awake from 1;45 to 5! Then slept in so morning’s shot. Expect work to be chaotic this afternoon (kitchen ‘issues’) plus dh (dear husband) is baking sourdough buns so hoping I can resist temptations.
Day 26 ~ 06/09: 177.4 {28 WW pts}; again slept in but accomplished a lot before heading off to work. Afternoon shift went okay. In 2015 I did a 80km (50 mile) bike ride which was a major accomplishment. Son and his partner did the same ride today and now he understands why I felt so stoked. I’m hoping to do the ride again this year in later September.

Day 23—06/06— 144.1. Same as yesterday. Short walk and my eating was good. Hoping to get back to the gym this weekend.
Day 24—06/07— 142.0. Yesterday was quite a poopy day filled with too much stress. As a result, my stomach was feeling off and I just didn't want to eat. I also had a couple of beers at the end of the day. I'm probably a bit dehydrated. Short walk, no gym.
Day 25—06/08— 146.5. Pizza Hut. MIL came over and we ordered pizza. I probably ate more than I needed. But I'm not that upset about this. It's part of the life balance aspect of a healthy lifestyle. I'm sure at least some will come off quickly.
Day 26—06/09— 146.2. Another day of poor eating. No excuses this time, just bad decisions. Lots of walking but no gym.
Day 27—06/10— 146.0. Better day yesterday. Food was within calories. No alcohol. Long walk, treadmill run. It felt good to finally be able to run again after about 2 weeks of having to stay home.

@JimnKC what does the number 183.4 mean in your sequence of numbers? Just curious…. I think 1,480/1,500 actual calorie intake over calories you’re set to eat. But I haven’t figured out the meaning of the next number (an average of something over 5 weeks?)

Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.

Day 22—06/05— 139.6 - Same weight 3 days in a row. Going on day 3 of no poops, so hoping for a woosh soon. This is unusual for me since I consume so many vegetables and some fruit. I normally go 2-3 times per day. Or maybe my body is just not wanting weight loss so is holding on to everything to turn it into fat lol. (TMI I know)
Day 23—06/06— 139.0 - Day 10 of 35 days without a day off. I was scheduled for a split shift at the Indian restaurant today. I asked (begged) to work 11-6 instead of 11-3 and 5-8, and got it. If we don't ask we don't get right? 6pm NHL Stanley Cup final game 2, Edmonton/Florida. A rematch of last year, where Florida won the whole thing in 7 games. Yes, we have TVs at Spice Hut (unlike my job at the other restaurant), but I like to pause, rewind, and watch in pjs or the like. Fake beer (40 calories per can) is chilling in the fridge : - )
Day 24—06/07— 139.6 - Holding on to the 130s by my fingernais! Changed it up a bit last night, I had Konjac angel hair "pasta" with a bit of chicken, 1/4 cup shredded parmesan, 2 tbsp sour cream, with some of my own raw garlic on the top. I went out with a bowl into my garden and came back with lettuce, mint, and dill for a salad to accompany my alfredo. Delish. Turns out that the granola that I was using in my tracker didn't include the fibre. I got rid of that one and added the one that has the same nutrition as is on the box. I am always fighting for more fibre in my diet. Cherries is my snack at work each day now until they are finished, then back to strawberries. (both have fibre)
Day 25—06/08— 140.6 - 1 lb up. Never happy about a jump on the scale unless it is warranted. However, I know that fluctuations are normal. Somebody reminded me that Asparagus season is just about over, so I went to the Farmer's Market before work yesterday and got 2 big bunches. I had some along with dinner last night. Yum! I have developed some sort of big lump on the side of my foot that I noticed in the bath last night. I will have to get in to see my doc some time this week. I do have foot problems because of being on my feet and running around waitressing every day. I know that losing weight would help me immensely. Really working on that. Got to keep plugging with the work thing. My plan is to cut back to 4 days a week in January of 2026. Meanwhile, heading into day 12 of 35 without a day off today. I will get the garden watered this morning before I go, and hopefully some weeding and other stuff.
Day 26—06/09— 140.6 - Guts are gurgling, but no TMI, yet. I feel like less than this weight this morning. Planned indulgent evening tonight when I get off of work to watch the hockey game, now in Florida for the next 2 games (split in Edmonton including an exhausting double overtime). I would have like a buffer of weight before an indulgent eve. Not even sure what I am going to have yet. Maybe nachos made with 3 corn tortillas (150 calories) instead of the chip that cover the bottom, likely 500 calories. Very light day tomorrow, a 4 hour shift only, so I will be having a couple of adult beverages tonight, once per week.
Day 27—06/10— 140.6 - Not used to getting the same number 3 days in a row, usually I am all over the place. No big splurge last night, although I had 2 black russians and 5 cups of smartfood popcorn which will be in my teeth for days despite flossing and brushing. My own borscht for dinner. Doubt that I will hit my goal in one day. Extremely hot here, trying to do as much as possible in the mornings before work. Nice light workday today, but it will be very hot when I get home.

Day 22—06/05— 169.6 - Today was meatball day...47 meatballs! They smelled great....tasted great, too ! Plenty of future meals. Really going to try to get to that 169 mark this week.
Day 23—06/06— 170.6 - National Donut Day....guess what I WON'T be eating?
The wound from my tumor removal was bleeding, so I decided to leave it open to the air instead of putting Aquaphor on and covering it...it will probably heal faster. Its looking better after the last 18 hours.

Day 25—06/08— 169.6 - Had a tuna sandwich for lunch and spaghetti with meatballs for dinner....and a granola bar for dessert. And that will be it for food....no snacking. I may have a diet Snapple.
Day 26—06/09— 170 - Didn't have breakfast. Had a small salad and a piece of quiche for lunch. Dinner was a hard boiled egg sandwich and 2 Milano cookies. NO snacks again tonight. Been crocheting to keep the mind off the snacks. Tomorrow I have a baseball game so it will be a bit of a splurge day.
Day 27—06/10— 169 - I really think the "no snacks after 8 pm" works. I am going to try hard to stick to that. Baseball game tonight...will buy my dinner to take in....healthier and cheaper. Walking around the concourse is good exercise, too.

My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. This breaks down to 0.7 lbs per challenge week. I don’t think that is too much to ask of my mind, my body and my spirit! I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

My lowest weight (On Saturday Morn) was 190.4 so I am close. My trend weight is continuing to slowly drop and I am hopeful that things will go well this week as I don't see any immediate obstacles. I am now below this week’s goal weight as I continue to try to drop 0.7 lbs per week so I will land at a 10 pound loss for the challenge. Playing catch-up is too hard so I must stay the course! This week I want to put my main focus on water, incorporating exercise (not just movement) and seriously limiting my snacks. Too much of a good thing is still a bad thing…..
🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️Day 27—06/10—190.4 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 192.3) A nice drop is always a plus. I’m so close to the 180’s (again) that I can almost taste it. I’ve been doing pretty well since the beginning of May in both my start weight and my trend weights. I’ve had a few missteps with my birthday, Mother’s Day and Memorial Day Weekend being in May. I’ve also had a bit of off and on travel days. However, I’ve managed to reign it back in each time and the progress is slowly coming. I’m still working on being consistent with those good habits that I need to focus on including water and intentional exercise. Now that my major primary bedroom renovation is done and my projects will be small and shorter for awhile, I am hoping the privacy it affords in my home will allow me to focus better on diet, prep cooking and exercise right in my living room! Tonight I will cook a “regular” meal of “non-diet” foods. It’s time to make something nice and have dinner with my son. So tonight will be all about portion control not necessarily about content.

- Week 5 Start wt: 203.5 Total Loss: 6.0 lbs
Note: I am no longer posting calories and exercise, I have all of that information in the Garmin and MFP apps, I am a man so I am basically Lazy! So why post it when I have it, this is the weight challenge of posting and weighing yourself daily! I find this really helps me, in the past I would not see a down and not log it, so I would only log downs, so now I am logging every movement! Thanks! As you can see below:
My ending weight is getting much more stable from 185-190 and my end goal for the 100 days is 189, so I am tracking well for it.
Here is my picture of the week, this is the Seven Sisters known as the Pleiades, if you have ever seen the Subaru logo it is the Seven Sisters. This was taken over 2 years and the images were added together in a process called stacking, even though these clouds are moving, they are moving so slow compared to the distance you can stack images across decades for these types of objects, a single pixel on the camera is about ~.5 light years across…. In 20 years you will need to start a new stack ;).

I'm 5'3, in my mid 30s, and a SAHM to my three year old twins.
Round 21 Ending Weight: 147.3
Round 23 Ending Weight: 142.3Week 1 Ending Weight: 145.3
Week 2 Ending Weight: 146.2
Week 3 Ending Weight: 144.3Day 22—06/05— 144.1. Just a short walk due to time and weather constraints. Food was good.
Day 23—06/06— 144.1. Same as yesterday. Short walk and my eating was good. Hoping to get back to the gym this weekend.
Day 24—06/07— 142.0. Yesterday was quite a poopy day filled with too much stress. As a result, my stomach was feeling off and I just didn't want to eat. I also had a couple of beers at the end of the day. I'm probably a bit dehydrated. Short walk, no gym.
Day 25—06/08— 146.5. Pizza Hut. MIL came over and we ordered pizza. I probably ate more than I needed. But I'm not that upset about this. It's part of the life balance aspect of a healthy lifestyle. I'm sure at least some will come off quickly.
Day 26—06/09— 146.2. Another day of poor eating. No excuses this time, just bad decisions. Lots of walking but no gym.
Day 27—06/10— 146.0. Better day yesterday. Food was within calories. No alcohol. Long walk, treadmill run. It felt good to finally be able to run again after about 2 weeks of having to stay home.
Day 28—06/11— 144.1. Food was good, long walk and a treadmill run, no alcohol. Ending this week where I started. I bit bummed I didn't make progress, but I feel like I'm getting back on track. "You can't be upset about the results you didn't get from the work you didn't do".

Evening All,
I'm stopping tracking body fat for the time being. Too hard to get an accurate measuement, the numbers are all over the place. I'm roughly 25% bodyfat with 54kg lean mass. I'll check again on the last week.
Instead of counting net calories I'm switching to food calories. I'm also dropping my target to 1800 calories. I've lowered carb intake and upped protein and fibre to help stay satiated.
I have a reliable baseline now so looking forward to progress over the next 10 weeks.
I hope everyone else is enjoying their journey and learning what works for them.
