I guess the heat had completely scrambled my brain — luckily I write my weight down in my daily journal too, so I've gone back and corrected the date/weight for the past several days. Our AC was failing on the 20th. From there the weight drop is pretty nuts. I hope I won't gain it back — it would be nice if that was my reward for going through this all week. We got the AC fixed yesterday. I can't state enough how much gratitude I have for technicians that can handle being outside and working when it's just as hot out there as inside the house. The house is still cooling. I learned a valuable lesson on being thankful for the small things this week. And how lucky we are to have AC.

HappyDonkey75 Oh my what?? It really got that chilly in July?? Would you like some new neighbors? 😂🤣 Though seriously, I think I need to relocate to where the temperature never gets above 65F. We're about to go back into the 90F range for the next several days.

I seem to be in some sort of plateau again. I need a whoosh like @Kupla71
last night due to various circumstances I ended up biking for an hour and then an hour and a half, pretty intensely. I have zero energy this morning.

Maybe it’s all the snacking I did last night. They were healthy snacks like edamame, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds and homemade tofu chocolate pudding but still has calories. And the seeds were salted.

I decided to stop going to boot camp. There were only 2 classes left. I think it stressed my body too much. The workouts left me exhausted. I would be dragging my feet for 2 days after. I need more moderate exercise that energizes me.

Has some yummy tacos last night with chips, guac and salsa. It was a bit on the salty side so this number was not expected but as always I will take any drop I can get.

@ManifestingToday WOW, nice drop! a little sweating due to no AC might be some kind of magic????. I hope it shocked your system into some continued losses. As far as our temps we are slowly climbing back up into the more normal range. I don't mind the cooler weather at all to be honest. My sister who is visiting has been freezing to death since she lives in the south.

We are heading out for a hike today in GNP. Nothing too strenuous , about 5 miles out and back but its too a beautiful glacial lake. I have done the hike several times in the past but its been a few years. Bear spray in packed and i get to try out my new merrell hiking boots I got for my upcoming trip * details to come)

Ooh nice little drop. Probably related to the epic bike ride two nights ago. Also I’m pretty committed to the rebounder this week which helps with circulation.

The planned hike didn’t work out as planned in the park . I didn’t get the timed ticketing ahead of time which meant we couldn’t drive to the trailhead in our own vehicle and had to take the shuttle. So we attempted to do that but the line for the shuttle was very long and some people towards the front of the line had already been in line for 2 hrs . We opted to leave and did a hike closer in to town which worked out fine.
last day with my sister today before she heads home.

Another night of snacking. Need to stop that. Maybe I will eat more during the day so I’m not so hungry at night. I’ve been eating mostly vegan lately and I don’t find it as filling. I don’t know how to feel more full. Maybe nuts?

I haven't been this exhausted in a while. We opted for Chipotle last night, which should have pushed the weight way up, but I still managed to stick in the 207's today. I cannot wait to sleep in tomorrow. It's been bed at midnight and right back up at 6am for too many days in a row now.

    Happy Friday, everyone.

Should have gone to weights this morning but was already aching after Thursday and Friday’s exercise, so have cancelled.  Feel a bit guilty about it but I have a really busy weekend ahead with a deadline for some work that has to be posted on Monday and I can’t afford to be too tired to get if finished.  Talking of work, I’d better get off the computer and back into the workroom.

     Have a good weekend everyone.

I opted for the lower reading today, because I wanted a win this week. I've had to find a new location for our scale, so I took several readings today. :D I am so paranoid about bouncing to a higher number again that I am food restricting, and I don't really like that behavior. I haven't worked out all week - My poor knee is really suffering for it, so I'm going to get on the treadmill today and hopefully can stretch it enough that it isn't feeling to stiff. However we are going to have some saltier food today - I'm hoping it doesn't mess too much with my weigh-in tomorrow. It's crazy how I can see a definite change in my body shape right now. Those few pounds really do make a difference.

HappyDonkey75 I hope you had a good visit with your sister. And I hope you have some downtime now where you can rest and get back to your routine.

MercyRoth I hope the weather breaks for you, soon. We're in this heat at least until next Thursday (90'sF during the day). I can't wait until it's cool/cold again. I can always make myself warm; I can almost never make myself cool enough when it's hot.

SofaKween Don't feel guilty — if your body hasn't recovered from the previous exercise, you might cause an injury. I hope the deadline work goes off without issues.

Kupla71 Could you up the protein somehow? Maybe a protein powder shake? Or beans/lentils? If you can handle popcorn, it does help as filler. I don't know if that helps.

    Have a good Saturday, everyone.

I was up before 5am this morning. Had a breakfast of vegetables and toast with fruit. Then went for a walk to pick up more vegetables. Came home. Had some silk Greek yogurt and went to the gym! So far a very healthy day. I’ve decided I want to be healthy and slim and happy rather than struggling hungry and miserable! My mindset is making a difference. I’m re focusing on whole foods but adding a bit of animal protein back into my diet.

@ManifestingToday I was finding it hard to get enough protein. I drink protein shakes sometimes but find they’re not nearly as filling as actually eating protein. Thanks for the suggestions 😊

I am not sure about this rapid loss.. I am not restricting calories , had icecream last several days and not hitting the weights since family has been in town. Its mostly just that I have been on the go most days. I am hitting the weights today because now I am sort of scared I am losing muscle.. (insert freak out emoji)

Dropped off the sis at O' dark thirty this morning , came home and slept for another hour before the dogs got me up.

@ManifestingToday - Yes today and tomorrow hope to get back into my normal routine and a bit of rest as well. I think your doing fantastic on your journey the last couple of weeks. Its so nice to start seeing those visible changes. LOVE THAT FOR YOU! Keep killin it girl!

Reflections (apologies for longer post today so I put it as spoiler)

Its so funny, its only been in the last month that I have gotten into the 150s weight range that a few people are noticing enough to ask or say something. It hasn't been overnight , its been over a year I have been working on losing..Most people don't have any clue the work I have put in to get to where I am today. I don't share that I am using GLP's with people as there seems to be such a negative response in most people's views that I just don't want to debate it. People assume those taking meds make you lazy and taking the easy way out . That has definitely not been the case for me, even on meds ,loss has been slow with plenty of ups and downs and going through this process has opened my eyes to the fact that the tendency towards obesity is something I will fight for the rest of my life, with or without the meds. If I went off the meds today completely I know I would gain back (which terrifies me) even in a calorie restriction. The meds do SO MUCH MORE than just help curb cravings and food noise. They work at the cellular and metabolic level. I honestly don't eat much different today than I did a year ago other than I don't consume alchohol anymore and my portions might be somewhat smaller. I had no idea I had a fatty liver and that was causing alot of my issues. That's resolving now it seems. At some point I will wean off but by then I hope they become more available and more affordable.

Well not what I was hoping for. I’m happy with my efforts yesterday though. I had a salty small meal at 9 so that’s probably what is doing it

We had Chipotle, and a donut. I knew what I was doing, but did it anyway. But I also walked 1.5 miles. Oh well. Today I'll do better.

Got my strength session in yesterday, just over 10K steps and woke up to see I had gotten a nice 8 hr sleep with minimal waking time during the night.

I will be doing a few errands with mom today and need to get my workout in early so off I go..

    Have a great Sunday everyone.

Spent yesterday catching up on project work, coursework due to be posted Monday.  Made good progress so pleased I didn’t go to weights as I’m feeling much more optimistic that I will have everything finished in time.

Quite surprised the scales only went up by a small amount – a second bottle of wine was opened yesterday and late night snacks were had.  Maybe the stress of finishing my coursework has increased my metabolism 😂
