    @Tbris4 . There is no expiry date for grief - just be kind to yourself.

    Im starting to feel weight loss is hopeless. I was 104kg in April then I suddenly ballooned to 108kg - with the urinary retention it really is ridiculous. But honestly my eating choices around sugary snacks is a disaster. Using food as a comfort really isn’t productive.

    Well I made a commitment this month to weigh myself first thing every morning. So I thought I would join this group. It will enforce accountability. My goal is simple. Just weigh myself to capture both positive and negative triggers.
    7/5- 194 lbs.
    7/8- 193 lbs Had a light bulb moment. If you don't weigh yourself every day you are missing the moments when you have lost weight.

    I’ve really stuffed up this week. 3 days in a row of late night snacking.

    im alone constantly depressed. Lonely I guess. I’ve got no car since my son crashed mine deliberately a few weeks ago and I feel totally alone.

    I have no one. I’m exercising most days this week but it’s not going to help if I’m eating nearly 3000 calories a day.

    How do I stop myself from doing this?

    Oh boy…definitely not the direction I wanted to go but all things considered, not surprised. I own this! Although it was a difficult week, I needed that time and I’m glad I gave myself permission to process all those feelings. Now back to business!

It sure takes longer to come back off when it can leap on at 2-4 lbs easily in one day! Something to keep in mind I suppose…. Owen is still grumpy today. He is still struggling with food. The only small amount of squeezable fruit or food of any type he takes is when I threaten to call the ambulance. I told him about IV feeding and he doesn’t want that! So he takes one bite or one squeeze. That’s about it. He is finally taking some of the Motrin so that’s a plus. He’s grumpy. I am staying out of his face as much as I can.

    💥💥💥 07/26-187.2 ✅ (Trend Weight: 189.2) Finally I got that comforting #7 back in my weight. That gives me a little wiggle room with fluctuations or travel weights. I have such a long way to go to reach anything near goal weight so all progress is great. I need to get off my butt though and get more intentional exercise in. It has kind of went by the wayside since Owen had his surgery. Handyman is supposed to arrive today to begin pulling up kitchen flooring so that he can get old layers of subflooring out, level them and redo them to match the height of my primary bedroom space so floors can be matching and reconnected. It is going to be a mess here for awhile again. It’s always tough when it’s the kitchen and dining areas. And my privacy (for exercising) will be limited again. Humph….

    Last four weeks of weigh ins. I'm dialing it in more this past week in terms of tracking and regular weight ins. Goal is sub 90kg by the end of the year and 85kg by next summer.

    Oh dear. I’m up to 109kg = 240lb Thats a gain of 1.4kg - 3lb. More depressed than ever. But I’ve eaten terribly for 4 days this week. It’s so easy to gain weight- yet so bloody hard to lose any.

    12. 228…. Ugh… it’s time to get serious about what I eat and eating within my calorie limit. Today is a great day to start!

    13. 226.6… Day one… logged yesterday and finished only 100 calories over goal. Feeling great! Happy Sunday

    14. 225.8… Day 2 is done and dusted. Logged and finished 100 over calorie goal. I’ve prelogged today since it’ll be a busy Monday. May cut the grass after work then jump in the pool… and vacuum it. 💦

    15. 224.6 … Day 3 is put to bed! Logged and finished 18 calories under goal. Managed to cut most of the front yard after work. Didn’t make it to swim since the mosquitoes were biting last night. Feeling good 😁

    16. 224… Day 4 done and done! Logged and finished 156 calories over. Another great day! Before work I’ll clean up and cover up the deck since it’s going to rain today.

    17 224.5… Day 5 complete. 439 calories over. I knew that would happen eventually but I’m not mad about it.

    18. 224.6… Day 6 complete… another less than stellar calorie day… but I’m still down .1 pound from the beginning of July. Gotta find the silver lining! 🤣 off to cut the grass … luckily it’s 74 degrees out… I’ll still be a sweaty mess… but not as big of a sweaty mess. Happy Friday friends!

    20. 225.9 Day 8… Had family over… celebrating my son going to Norway today… his first international trip… my daughter starting her Senior year of college next Monday… and a nod to my hubby’s birthday. 🎂 ✈️ 🏫

    21. 225.2 Day 9… Logged and done. I love healthy leftovers! Having a big salad for lunch and soup. I can eat soup everyday!

    22. 223.1 Day 10… Logged and done! Feeling great. 😁 I love seeing 223! Day by day… pound by pound. 

    23. 223.8 Day 11…logged and done! Walked 25 minutes home yesterday from dropping my car off to get my front brakes done. Happy about the walk part of it!

    24. 223 Day 12… Done and dusted! Swam for 2 days in a row… more like cleaning the pool from inside… was so nice and relaxing. Have a big work event tonight, so I’ll make sure to eat healthy beforehand.

    25. 222.8…Day 13 Logged and done. Stood on my feet from 3pm to 7pm and talked with lots of interesting people. Didn’t eat much at the event, so I had cold cereal at home for dinner. It was 94 degrees yesterday, so Honey Nut Cheerios sounded perfect. Happy to be in the 222 family.

    27. 223.8 Day 15… Pre logged for the day and feeling more in control and more relaxed. Last night had too many Nachos… working on portions. Progress not perfection. Going to see the Fantastic Four after work tonight with the family. 🥰

    @ozdeelite It's wonderful to see your increase in exercise. You are doing great on that stationary bike! I know it's been a struggle to get your diet steadily in line since your travel mid-month. I also know you've been battling depression, especially since your car was wrecked. But please don't let ANYTHING derail you. You are Unstoppable! You are not peddling on that bike for Nothing! Drink the water, get the sleep, watch the calories and carbs. Your health is your biggest enemy and it's a tough one! You are not your biggest enemy! Come on, my friend, you got this! You can do it! I've seen you in action and it's wonderful to see. I'm your #1 Fan!

    💥💥💥 07/27-186.2 ✅ (Trend Weight: 188.9) Another nice drop for me but I honestly think I’ve had too many days of calories way lower than goal. I’ve just been a bit too busy and tired to eat while watching DGS after surgery. I’ve been feeling very light-headed. Not in my diabetic way but different. I think I need a day of more calories. At least to goal if not a bit higher. However, I don’t know that it will be today. I don’t want to just increase the calories with junk and garbage. I’ll put some thought into it. Soon though….. I just feel like someone handed me that ball and instinct told me to run with it. I also need sleep. Bad! I’ve seriously been getting either 2 hours or 3 hours for the past couple of days. I hope after DGS leaves tonight I can get to bed a little earlier and finally get some zzzz’s.

    Well I made a commitment this month to weigh myself first thing every morning. So I thought I would join this group. It will enforce accountability. My goal is simple. Just weigh myself to capture both positive and negative triggers.
    7/5- 194 lbs.
    7/8- 193 lbs Had a light bulb moment. If you don't weigh yourself every day you are missing the moments when you have lost weight.

    Got in a nice walk yesterday and lots of chores around the house kept my step count up. Overall eating was good except for some sweet snacks towards the end of the day. I really just need to remove the temptations from my house.

    14. 225.8… Day 2 is done and dusted. Logged and finished 100 over calorie goal. I’ve prelogged today since it’ll be a busy Monday. May cut the grass after work then jump in the pool… and vacuum it. 💦

    15. 224.6 … Day 3 is put to bed! Logged and finished 18 calories under goal. Managed to cut most of the front yard after work. Didn’t make it to swim since the mosquitoes were biting last night. Feeling good 😁

    16. 224… Day 4 done and done! Logged and finished 156 calories over. Another great day! Before work I’ll clean up and cover up the deck since it’s going to rain today.

    17 224.5… Day 5 complete. 439 calories over. I knew that would happen eventually but I’m not mad about it.

    18. 224.6… Day 6 complete… another less than stellar calorie day… but I’m still down .1 pound from the beginning of July. Gotta find the silver lining! 🤣 off to cut the grass … luckily it’s 74 degrees out… I’ll still be a sweaty mess… but not as big of a sweaty mess. Happy Friday friends!

    20. 225.9 Day 8… Had family over… celebrating my son going to Norway today… his first international trip… my daughter starting her Senior year of college next Monday… and a nod to my hubby’s birthday. 🎂 ✈️ 🏫

    21. 225.2 Day 9… Logged and done. I love healthy leftovers! Having a big salad for lunch and soup. I can eat soup everyday!

    23. 223.8 Day 11…logged and done! Walked 25 minutes home yesterday from dropping my car off to get my front brakes done. Happy about the walk part of it!

    24. 223 Day 12… Done and dusted! Swam for 2 days in a row… more like cleaning the pool from inside… was so nice and relaxing. Have a big work event tonight, so I’ll make sure to eat healthy beforehand.

    25. 222.8…Day 13 Logged and done. Stood on my feet from 3pm to 7pm and talked with lots of interesting people. Didn’t eat much at the event, so I had cold cereal at home for dinner. It was 94 degrees yesterday, so Honey Nut Cheerios sounded perfect. Happy to be in the 222 family.

    27. 223.8 Day 15… Pre logged for the day and feeling more in control and more relaxed. Last night had too many Nachos… working on portions. Progress not perfection. Going to see the Fantastic Four after work tonight with the family. 🥰

    07/28-185.0 ✅ (Trend Weight: 188.5) Pre-logged yesterday increasing my calories just a bit. Ate my meals and snacks as planned. However, I didn’t drink the 8 oz glass of 2% milk I’d added on in order to increase the calories a bit more (while adding a bit of protein). It was just too hot and I was satisfied without it. So calories were still a tad lower than goal but more than in the past few days. My handyman never showed up yesterday and no word from him today. No cancellation text or call either because if he doesn’t show up it means he’s not coming, right? What does it take to get anyone to work in this one-horse town? It’s hot and we are surrounded by lakes and a river. I bet I know where he is today! Just so you get a little idea about my town. We have one small building inspection building with one inspector employed. I called up once (on a beautiful summer day) to set up an appointment and got the answering machine. It said he was “fishin” today and to try again tomorrow. That’s just how things work around here. I’m originally from a large suburban area outside of Detroit so I don’t think I’ll ever get used to it!

    💥💥💥 07/29-185.4 ❌ (Trend Weight: 188.2) I hated posting my weight with the big red X today (gain) but I know it’s only a weird fluctuation so I’ll get over it. My calories were extra low again yesterday (884). Took son to a bar/restaurant after his dr appt. I ordered the 2 pc Chicken strip basket. I had one strip and ¾ of the small amount of fries. I ate the other strip later for dinner. One fiber one bar later (70 cals) and I was done for the day. I thought that the restaurant would help me increase my calories for the day but the protein backfired. I guess I’ll try to get in more today as I don’t want to slow the metabolism. I did plenty of extra exercise yesterday too so none of it makes sense but weight loss is not linear, right? I do believe the extreme heat (still no A/C yet) is contributing to my lack of appetite.
