Just Give Me 10 Days - Round 304

Round 304July 30 - 8 August 2025
Please join us starting on 7/30 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 304
Anyone can join us at any time during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful, we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post every day to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non-scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share. Make the board your own - track what is important for YOUR JOURNEY.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all the posts.

Thank you @musicsax
OK I won’t mention this again… I was WRONG! Rnd#303 was NOT my 2yr anniversary w/ JGMTD but it’s actually THIS ROUND!
My very first entry on 7/31/23:
*******
”Just give me 10 days!
Fluctuating 10-15 lbs over 9 years since weight loss of 30lbs in 2014. Goals: I want to feel healthy & my clothes to fit. I want consistency with smart choices.Age: 64, Height 5’6”
Start weight was 172LBS in 2010. Hit and maintained 128lbs in 2014. I maintain this weight for 2-3 yrs at a time and then I get lazy. I have to get back on track and take off 15lbs this time!
UGW: maintain 128-130Here we go!💪🏻

Round 304 (July 30 - 8 Aug, 2025) #5 :
I need more motivation, inspiration and accountability in my life and this challenge has helped support me in the past, thank you @musicsax. ☺️ I intend to weigh myself at the start and finish of the round and will update my progress within the group at the end. My height is 5'3" and I currently weigh 63.8kg (140.6 lb). My ultimate goal weight is 54kg.
Each day my goals are:
• To log my foods/exercise into Myfitnesspal
• Eat healthier and reduce the intake of junk food
• Reduce alcohol intake
• Aim to go to the gym 4 times per week.
Eager to stay committed! 🤸

A little bit about me: I'm 33 years old, female, 160cm (5ft 2.5in) tall. I have a 2yo son who is so full of energy and keeps me eternally busy! I generally keep fit doing judo and walking my very mad spaniel. I have Crohn's disease and am currently flaring which mean I'm struggling with fatigue and nausea. I weigh wearing clothes so my actual weight fluctuates a lot, but I'm more concerned about trend.

My goals this round:
- Weigh every day
- In bed by 10:30pm
- Maintaining is good enough
- Knee exercises daily
- Alcohol free (except when we move, I will open some bubbles when that happens)
- Track Crohn's symptoms

Finally made it to the round start!
136.5 lbs. currently. Formerly 151.5. Best thing I ever did was "turn my fat burner on" by exercising as much as I can in the morning, then eating breakfast. Second thing, I create mini goals and visualize that happening. Third (I need work on this one) - is staying committed to posting.

@SModa61 and @Chapter_3 My first Round was #94. It really helped! The following entry from my history indicates the beginning of the end to discipline for me…. It started with about seven weeks in Florida, just retired, not paying attention, then a prostate surgery, then a period of stress while I took the reigns for my parent's health and finances (still a stress). I would have been better served to stick with this group during that time because I have been sputtering since coming back. But it is good to be back, or I may have been in worse shape.

I am taking a 4 week break from MFP. I may pop in but I don’t plan on it being daily. DGS gets married on 8/23 and I need to make an effort to tighten up some muscles (I’m sure they’re here somewhere) before that. We fly home on 8/25. In the meantime, I won’t be reading every post. I love this group and the support we all offer each other and I WILL be back! (@SModa61 - the same thing just happened to me! I was proof reading my post and poof!!! It was gone. Composed this in notes and will copy and paste.) I LOVE 💕 YOU ALL!

@quiltingjaine ~ thanks for the heads up so we didn't have to come hunt you down!! 😁 Seriously though, enjoy the break and enjoy the wedding and we will be here holding down the fort until you return!!
Thanks @Chapter_3 and @SModa61 for all the shout-outs. Still here, still trying…some days, more than others!! 💯 And great idea to call out a few friends that we haven't seen in a while.

🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 304 (my 234th).
Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
- an additional goal for me this round is to have a totally 10 day binge free round.
I need to remain consistent - it does work! I aim to lose a pound this round. Good luck for success everyone.
Background :
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.
I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth".

7/30 181.2 It is what it is! My calories were good and exercise was there. I also managed to make about 80% of the appointments I’m late on. There are challenges in trying to do it all but taking care of myself needs to stay at the top of the list.
I even manage to schedule an eyebrow shape and tint for this afternoon and a pedicure with a friend tomorrow evening. I might not be super happy with my weight at the moment but I still need to take care of this body.Lifting with my girls this morning but I have to skip aqua yoga since my gyno had a random opening this morning so I jumped on it.
Plenty of time today get in some garden work before brows. Finish the day with a 45 minute ab class.
Marinating some chicken for my dinner salad. Squeezing in a few dog walks, laundry, watering, house putter, stop at the farmers market… no time to eat ice cream!7 -

This will be a short lived scale reading. Too much of a drop for one day. My calories were low yesterday but they included 500 calories worth Kirkland Super Extra-Large Peanuts. I love those things.Regarding this group, I like how it is more than just us weight-tracking for ten days. We all have a somewhat unique quirk we are working on. The quirks are a combination of weight, strength, BF%, mobility, alcohol, macros, logging, exercise, breaking habits. I am learning from you all.

Mini goal: 140
Ultimate goal: 130Rnd 301 Ending Weight: 144.2
Rnd 302 Ending Weight: 145.3
Rnd 303 Ending Weight: 143.37/30: 142.9. It seems like my weight is actually starting to come down, after far too long being stuck around 144-145. I'm very excited about that.
Food was decent yesterday, although I didn't track again. I went for a walk, but took a rest day from running.
I've been toying with the idea of running a half marathon for a while, and I finally made the plunge and signed up for one at the end of October. I would really like to be a lot closer to my goal weight by then, so it's time to really get serious. I have just under 90 days, so plenty of time to lose a few pounds.

7/30 296.1 nice to start with a drop, it's just a nice pick-me-up! But, us daily weighers know we had best not set whether a day is good or not by if there's a drop, or we'll drive ourselves crazy!

🌺 SW Rnd 304: 166.2
I haven’t told you guys much about myself so here goes. I’m Canadian, Pacific Northwest.
I just turned 50, i am 5’6, married with two young adult daughters still living at home. I’ve had Hashimoto’s hypothyroid for the past 10 years which impacts my energy a fair bit. I maintained a respectable weight range my whole life through effort but have never been naturally slim. Used to be a workout warrior, but Pandemic and “intuitive eating” put 16 lbs on me almost overnight, and perimenopause kept er there and added another 10 lbs lol. So here I am, trying to get my health on track and get in better shape again!
