We drove to Rondeau Provincial Park. Did a 7km walk, then I took the dog to the dog beach, while my husband looked for birds to photograph. The dog beach was incredible: I had no idea the beaches along Lake Erie were so wide and filled with white sand. Both the dog and I had a blast. We then went out for lunch and decided to split a Fresh Lake Erie Ouckerel wrap. It came with fried and cole slaw. It was just the right amount of food, especially since we were having lunch at 2:15pm.
We are stopped at a market for some supplies and then heading back to our camp site.
I think I just might stay within my IN target today, depending on what my husband buys at the market.7 -

Day 15β09/06 β 137.6 - I am dosing myself up with Dayquil and cough syrup just to get through these next 2 workdays. Drinking lot of water with lemon. I can't walk into the hospital sick on Monday morning and expect them to do the procedure. Hoping that this cold crests already. I am getting my nails done during the break on my split shift today, I will wear a mask so as not to infect her.
Day 16β09/07 β 137.8 - So groggy this morning. Too much medicine to get through the workday (Dayquil etc.) and cough medicine an hour before my break and manicure so that I wouldn't cough. Neo Citran and Nyquil to be able to go to sleep without a runny nose and coughing. I haven't had much appetite, but ate an entire belle pepper while at work and half of an apple. I had 2 dinners last night. My belly was hungry even though I didn't feel like eating. I had some of my own borscht from my freezer, and my own version of chicken biryani from my freezer. Tomorrow morning I will have to dose up on cough syrup and Dayquil again, so that they don't turn me away from my foot procedure at the hospital. No walking or driving after the procedure. I will putter around gently, or maybe just go to bed : - )
Day 17β09/08 β 136.4 pre-bathroom - Posting a little late today. I am home from the hospital and have to stay off of my feet. A friend dropped me and picked me up afterward, since no driving is allowed. I doubt that I will make my goal of 130 in 12 days (my birthday), especially with all of the family dinners and stuff while in Toronto. I got some dance workouts done this morning because I knew that it would be forbidden afterward because I have had this procedure before. Still hopped up on cold medication because I didn't want to cough, sneeze, blow my nose etc. while on the table under x-ray as they insert the needle deep into the small joint on the tops of both feet and I am not supposed to move a muscle. Man, it is a painful thing to get done (no room for both medicine and freezing), but I had such good results the last time and it lasted 3 months. Just having my second cup of coffee now, I didn't get a chance to have breakfast today, and am pretty much un-interesed in eating anything. Maybe later. It is hot in my house because I haven't done the nightly opening of the windows because it has been so smoky here. I really don't feel like doing anything at the moment. Cold medication has me feeling kind of out of it. Not even sure that I even still have the cold because I have been suppressing it for days now.
Day 18β09/09 β 136.6 - I was practically awake all night laying in bed listening to the radio and dozing in and out. First night without cold medication, so coughing and blowing my nose, but I am not sure if it is linked to how much smoke there is here. When I got home from the procedure I spent several hours doing a whole bunch of stuff in the yard. Nothing that impacted my feet, but still I inhaled all of that particulate. I wanted to get a sense of where my cold was at which I have been masking since Thursday morning to get through my workdays and medical procedure. I either have to get all of the garden beds covered today or risk losing what is still there, I suppose that I can wait until tomorrow. I did scrub out my little pool, that took me an hour and a half. I have giant bowls of bell peppers, tomatoes, and jalapeno peppers that I harvested yesterday. They are all still in flower and have small fruits on them that need to grow for a couple more weeks (if covered).
Day 19β09/10 β 137.8 - Weighed 3 hours earlier than yesterday. It will be the same get up time tomorrow. I will be changing time zones, tomorrow. I am not sure if I am going to pack up my laptop and put it in the trunk some time today. Suitcase is definitely going into the car today. I have only one patch in the garden left to cover, some California Wonder peppers. I will be logging and weighing every day, not yet sure when I will be posting next. Maybe tomorrow, maybe not until later on Friday.
Day 20β09/11 β 137.8 - Not really ready or awake at this point even though I have had my 2 cups of coffee. Still coughing from working out in the smoke and the leftover bits of my cold, but I had lots to do to prep the garden for cold temps and had to do it with wildfire smoke in the air. I will definitely get a bunch of Fitness Marshall dances in this morning since I will be sitting and layovers etc. and need to wake up my body and mind so that I can spring into action and pack the last few things, Flying out to Toronto. My travel scale is packed, but it might have some wonky numbers compared to my home scale, plus it will travel in my suitcase - oh those gentle baggage handlers lol. See y'all on the flip side. Not sure yet how much posting that I will get done here over the next days.
Day 21β09/12β 136.5 - Extremely long day of travel and I shouldn't have posted here because I missed breakfast. Luckily I had a cut up pepper and a rice cake with nut butter already on it in the fridge to grab and go, and a granola bar in my purse. I had both the pretzels and the cookie on the second plane.
This is Wednesday night and I finally just got a chance to catch up on everyone's posts. I will fill in the missing days tomorrow. There were a few when I couldn't weigh because I was staying at a friend's place at Yonge and Finch on the 17th floor and basically brought nothing in with me, not even my toothbrush (she had an extra) so I definitely did not bring my scale up there. I didn't have keys to come and go as I please, not worth it to ask her to go back down to my car for my scale..

@Jon4189 Yes! I love Spring too! I am prone to winter depression, and one of my ways of dealing with it is to eat more high calorie foods, like potato wedges and thick stews with lots of root veggies, mountains of buttered toast, pies and pastriesβ¦β¦anything to lift that dopamine level. From time to time I have to go on an anti-depressant which increases my appetiteβ¦..Anyway, now the days are longer, I can see the sun and feel the warmth, listen to the birds singingβ¦β¦Happy, happy Me!
Day 22β09/13β 141 lb. Off to a good start. MFP tells me that at current calorie level (Base level 1500. Today I ate 1557 + 30 mins walking) I will weigh 138.4 in 5 weeks.
Day 23β09/14β 140 lb. See - you can lose weight eating carrot cake! Turns out it is healthy after all! My measurements are Waist 29 inches. Hips 39 inches - so a bit bigger all round than I was at 134 lb. But I forget to measure until after breakfast, so I will remeasure tomorrow, hopefully if I remember before eating/drinking.
Day 24β09/15β 139.5 lb.. Waist 28.5 ins. Hips 38.5 in. Dropping more rapidly than I anticipated! But I am eating only 3 meals a day - no snacks. I prefer salty to sweet, so likely the lower salt consumption is resulting in water loss.

Day 26β09/17β 139.8 lb. I had to go to the other side of town, and felt I needed a little something to keep me going until I could get back home for lunch. I had brought an apple, but it was sooooo sweet I couldn't finish it. So I looked for some nuts in a supermarket. It would have been cheaper per oz. to buy a value pack - but I knew then I wouldn't stop eating till they were all gone. But I saw some raw almonds in the bulk bins on special, so just bought a dozen of those. It was only 15 grams worth, but still 84 cals. Nevertheless, I stayed under my calorie limit.
Day 27β09/18β 139.5 lb. Was offered free lunch today - burger and fries! So I passed on the bun and slice of processed cheese, and just had the meat patty with a half serve of fries, and a good size helping of red cabbage slaw. Did not have any cinnamon bun. Was quite full for the next 3 hours, then had an apple to keep me going till dinner.

Week 4 Goal: Not sure I want to set an actual weekly goal. I aim to eat around 1600 cal and walk 40 mins daily. According to MFP, that should drop me 0.5 pounds a week, but I know the loss will not always be perfectly consistent.

Hi All,
I'm Jenny, 60 years old, 5β6β and hit my goal weight in Feb. 2024 with the help of this group - maintained for 8 months and then just hit a really stressful stretch of life with toxic work situations, long hours and the stress of building a new home in DE and selling our old home in NY. It's like I defiantly watched myself start binge eating, drinking more alcohol and gaining almost every pound back. So here I am again - finally settled in the new house and doing what worked for me the first time - daily weighing, IF, logging and exercise. Iβm also adding Noom to the mix to help me find better ways of coping with stress. My goal for this challenge is to simply keep with it β even after a slip. I can do this β Iβve done it before, I can do it again!
Day 25β09/16: 220.0 β been MIA for a bit with a very stressful work situation that I didnβt handle well in terms of food and alcohol. Finally got through the gauntlet last week and spent the weekend prepping soups for lunches, enjoying the sunshine doing pool workouts with DH, and resolving to not let work derail every good thing in my life. Back on track yesterday, a cardio/weights workout & stretch today, and ready to move forward again.
Day 26β09/17βDNW: Had a nice walk with DH to start the day β trying to focus on simple moderation this week so Iβm not ping ponging with the all or nothing behavior Iβve been struggling with. Making mostly good food decisions, and moving every day.
Day 27β09/18: 218.6 Slowly working my way back down to where I was before my backslide, and feeling much more positive this week even with the long work hours. Did a more challenging weights/cardio workout with DH and a really nice yoga stretch. Iβm hoping the weather is warmer tomorrow morning because Iβd love to get a few more pool workouts in before they close it for the season!

Day 22β09/13β 135.2 - At the motel and driving here and there to visit family. I always get Fitness Marshall in, I don't think that I have missed a day in years. With my arthritis I really have to.
Day 23β09/14β 134.2 - Cumulative 5 days of no alcohol - Had lunch at my nephews with him, his wife and kids, Coxwell and Danforth Toronto, small slice of birthday cake. Drove to Yonge and Finch, had Jerk Chicken with Rice and peas, coleslaw, and birthday cake - which I cut, so a very small slice of very chocolatey cake. I don't have a sweet tooth, but birthday cake. My belly hurt I was so full. I don't like that feeling.
Day 24β09/15β No scale access. Yonge and Finch Toronto. Had my dance workout off of my phone while talking to my old friend. Banana for breakfast, and coffee. Began my drive up north to the chalet, got there late afternoon.
Day 25β09/16β 135.2 - Left in the morning to drive up to Haliburton to meet with an old friend. Lunch on a patio of a burger, onion rings, and Malbec wine. I saved half of the burger for later.
Day 26β09/17β 135.8 - First full day completely at the chalet. It was quite cold in the morning, 9c. I did a nice workout, then went out for a walk and gathered a bit of wood towards making a fire. Around noon found an already blown up tube and went in the water with that for awhile, I swam and was about to dive under when I remembered that my hearing aid was in. Took that out of course. My plan was to paddleboard, but I wanted to get my hair wet first because it was completely sunny and 27c. I paddleboarded. Not super steady, but I had no trouble getting up on it. I had sunblock on, but got a tiny bit burned on my face, not badly.
Day 27β09/18β 136.0 - One of these mornings my bathroom trip will be before weigh-in. Kind of overcast today, forecast is for rain in the afternoon. Just eating 1/4 of an apple that I cut up into small pieces (yes I like to eat apples with a fork) and then I will go walk and collect some more wood. My foot procedureβ¦.I think didn't take like it did last year at this time, left foot is sore.
Very happy that I shopped at Dollar stores while in the city and Walmart at the last stop before hitting the county roads. Yes I was in a town on Tuesday, but I would have either had to pay quadruple, or not found the items that I didn't want to pack and tote in my suitcase. Little stuff, box of kleenex, saran wrap, extension cord, prawns, egg whites quart, butter, hummus, granola bars etc.
I concur on the discussion about tracking (and measuring certain things) forever. It takes no time at all. I stopped tracking once years ago when I had lost a bunch of weight by tracking, and I put on 50 pounds!
For sure I am not going to reach 130.0 by my birthday on Saturday. Perhaps I would have had I been AF (alcohol free). Not even trying. I have 4 tiny bottles of champagne (6oz) and I drank one of those when I got here later Monday aftenoon, a bottle of Argentinian Cab Sauv that I have already opened and had a glass of, a small bottle of Grand Marnier. There are some 80% rain days upcoming, I will for sure be happy to have Grand Marnier π
Nowhere close to completely unwinding or getting to Zen. Mind you, I have had only one full day here. Working on that.

@Jon4189 i hope you knee recovers quickly. Iβm definitely feeling more little aches and pains as the years progress. I also find it takes much less to incur an injury.
@dawnbgethealthy enjoy your trip. Sounds like you are starting to relax. Sorry to hear your left foot is sore. Hopefully some rest at the cottage will help. I hope it feels better soon.
I ended up over in my IN yesterday. Had wine with dinner and hot chocolate in the evening.
We head home tomorrow.

Ohβ¦Phils lost but Giants lost so they are in the playoffs. Eagles WON, but there needs to be some work on offense....too predictable. Even I knew what they were going to do half the time. Hopefully they will figure it out in the coming weeks.
Day 25β09/16βΒ 161.6 - Stayed up till nearly 2, but I saw the Phillies win the NL EAST CHAMPIONSHIP! But doing it on the west coast is brutal. Now they need to overtake the Brewers for most wins to get home field advantage in the playoffs.
Food yesterday was good. I might do similar today....grilled ham and cheese for lunch, maybe soup for dinner. Soon will be time to make a pot of chili...looking forward to that.
Day 26β09/17βΒ 161 - Another good day yesterday. Pretty much a repeat of the day before. I will likely have the same lunch but not sure about dinner. Need to make a trip to the grocery store. My vegetable crisper drawer in my refrigerator only has 2 apples in it....nothing else. Can't remember the last time it was so empty.

Day 27β09/18β 161 - Well...I was asked if I wanted to go to Cane's yesterday for a late lunch and of course I said YES! I expected my weight to go up today, but it didn't! Picked up the crocheting again last night....I am about ΒΎ of the way done my one granddaughter's afghan. Have to stuff the crocheted pumpkin I made. too. I have SO many ideas for projects and need to finish the ones I am doing NOW! π

Thoughts at the start of this round:
This round will be challenging as it includes the U.S. holidays of Labor Day, Halloween and Thanksgiving. All are big foodie or party and dessert type holidays in the U.S. There are also multiple birthday celebrations in my family. In addition, there will be a lot of travel which is traditional in the fall for me as I try to avoid as many icy driving trips as possible in the winter months. There will be lots of doctor appointments away from home as well as Christmas and gift-giving shopping in this round. I will have to make sure I stay on top of my plan in every moment I can and to make the necessary corrections every time the scale goes up. We canβt control the ingredients in restaurant food so portion control will be key when away from home. I will again aim for a 10 pound loss this round. Day 26β09/17β184.0 β - (Trend Weight: 184.7) I had a diverticulosis attack yesterday so I stuck mainly to liquids to rest my intestines. Thatβs what my Doc always recommends. Itβs not always possible due to my diabetes and glucose drops, but yesterday turned out to be no problem (except for hunger!) No exercise as I was afraid I would get too weak. I didnβt worry about calories or carbs, just food that wouldnβt have to be digested. At the end of the day I logged everything and found my calories to be quite low but my carbs on the high end of my allowance. So I donβt know if this drop in weight will last but this is the reading this morning with no TMI in sight. Today are hair appts for me and my son. I will take him to lunch as is the custom. I will try very hard to be careful on my choices though I find myself very hungry. Perhaps a small snack before we go will help.

No TMI x 3, no diuretic for several days due to busy schedule, out to dinner yesterday with son after the salon appointments, mini binge last night after getting the taste of sugar in my mouth. Yeah, all the things. Iβm always amazed at how big the overnight number can be, just from the fluid backup alone. No time again today for my medication, too many places to go on Thursdays. Iβll try tomorrow but honestly, it may have to wait until Saturday. At least Iβm getting my workouts in at night.

Day 22β09/13β 141 lb. Off to a good start. MFP tells me that at current calorie level (Base level 1500. Today I ate 1557 + 30 mins walking) I will weigh 138.4 in 5 weeks.
Day 23β09/14β 140 lb. See - you can lose weight eating carrot cake! Turns out it is healthy after all! My measurements are Waist 29 inches. Hips 39 inches - so a bit bigger all round than I was at 134 lb. But I forget to measure until after breakfast, so I will remeasure tomorrow, hopefully if I remember before eating/drinking.
Day 24β09/15β 139.5 lb.. Waist 28.5 ins. Hips 38.5 in. Dropping more rapidly than I anticipated! But I am eating only 3 meals a day - no snacks. I prefer salty to sweet, so likely the lower salt consumption is resulting in water loss.

Day 26β09/17β 139.8 lb. I had to go to the other side of town, and felt I needed a little something to keep me going until I could get back home for lunch. I had brought an apple, but it was sooooo sweet I couldn't finish it. So I looked for some nuts in a supermarket. It would have been cheaper per oz. to buy a value pack - but I knew then I wouldn't stop eating till they were all gone. But I saw some raw almonds in the bulk bins on special, so just bought a dozen of those. It was only 15 grams worth, but still 84 cals. Nevertheless, I stayed under my calorie limit.
Day 27β09/18β 139.5 lb. Was offered free lunch today - burger and fries! So I passed on the bun and slice of processed cheese, and just had the meat patty with a half serve of fries, and a good size helping of red cabbage slaw. Did not have any cinnamon bun. Was quite full for the next 3 hours, then had an apple to keep me going till dinner.

Week 4 Goal: Not sure I want to set an actual weekly goal. I aim to eat around 1600 cal and walk 40 mins daily. According to MFP, that should drop me 0.5 pounds a week, but I know the loss will not always be perfectly consistent.
Week 4 Actual Weight: 139.2 lb. A whole 1.8 lb Gone in the first week! Been slightly over target cals some days, but also walking more than anticipated - 60-80 mins most days. And I've finished the cheese in the fridge - won't be buying any more.

Day 22β09/13β 135.2 - At the motel and driving here and there to visit family. I always get Fitness Marshall in, I don't think that I have missed a day in years. With my arthritis I really have to.
Day 23β09/14β 134.2 - Cumulative 5 days of no alcohol - Had lunch at my nephews with him, his wife and kids, Coxwell and Danforth Toronto, small slice of birthday cake. Drove to Yonge and Finch, had Jerk Chicken with Rice and peas, coleslaw, and birthday cake - which I cut, so a very small slice of very chocolatey cake. I don't have a sweet tooth, but birthday cake. My belly hurt I was so full. I don't like that feeling.
Day 24β09/15β No scale access. Yonge and Finch Toronto. Had my dance workout off of my phone while talking to my old friend. Banana for breakfast, and coffee. Began my drive up north to the chalet, got there late afternoon.
Day 25β09/16β 135.2 - Left in the morning to drive up to Haliburton to meet with an old friend. Lunch on a patio of a burger, onion rings, and Malbec wine. I saved half of the burger for later.
Day 26β09/17β 135.8 - First full day completely at the chalet. It was quite cold in the morning, 9c. I did a nice workout, then went out for a walk and gathered a bit of wood towards making a fire. Around noon found an already blown up tube and went in the water with that for awhile, I swam and was about to dive under when I remembered that my hearing aid was in. Took that out of course. My plan was to paddleboard, but I wanted to get my hair wet first because it was completely sunny and 27c. I paddleboarded. Not super steady, but I had no trouble getting up on it. I had sunblock on, but got a tiny bit burned on my face, not badly.
Day 27β09/18β 136.0 - One of these mornings my bathroom trip will be before weigh-in. Kind of overcast today, forecast is for rain in the afternoon. Just eating 1/4 of an apple that I cut up into small pieces (yes I like to eat apples with a fork) and then I will go walk and collect some more wood. My foot procedureβ¦.I think didn't take like it did last year at this time, left foot is sore.
Very happy that I shopped at Dollar stores while in the city and Walmart at the last stop before hitting the county roads. Yes I was in a town on Tuesday, but I would have either had to pay quadruple, or not found the items that I didn't want to pack and tote in my suitcase. Little stuff, box of kleenex, saran wrap, extension cord, prawns, egg whites quart, butter, hummus, granola bars etc.
I concur on the discussion about tracking (and measuring certain things) forever. It takes no time at all. I stopped tracking once years ago when I had lost a bunch of weight by tracking, and I put on 50 pounds!
For sure I am not going to reach 130.0 by my birthday on Saturday. Perhaps I would have had I been AF (alcohol free). Not even trying. I have 4 tiny bottles of champagne (6oz) and I drank one of those when I got here later Monday aftenoon, a bottle of Argentinian Cab Sauv that I have already opened and had a glass of, a small bottle of Grand Marnier. There are some 80% rain days upcoming, I will for sure be happy to have Grand Marnier π
Nowhere close to completely unwinding or getting to Zen. Mind you, I have had only one full day here. Working on that.
Day 28β09/19β 136.0 - Expected a woosh this morning, but again weighed before a good bathroom trip. That is all good though.
So this morning at 6:40am I was down toward the dock with my coffee in hand. The day that I arrived and was surveying the property, I noticed a bunch of 1/2 inch diameter sticks on the top rung of the ladder at the end of the dock. I moved them away. They were back the next morning and that day while on the dock I heard something underneath it. Today I saw a sleek creature glide through the water toward that ladder, and not continue swimming past the dock. A mink I am sure! Wow! Of course I googled. Too smooth of a swimmer and slender to be a Muskrat, Ermine don't stay in the water, too small for a beaver or an otter, and they also don't glide in the water the same as that (I have seen lots of those in the past). Sun wasn't fully up. From what I read I think that it is raising young under the dock. They are normally rarely seen. Very joyful for me, still smiling as I sip on my second cup of coffee.

We saw a bald eagle this morning. My husband took pictures, I wonβt t gave access to them until after he downloads them. Heβs taken all kinds of bird pictures this week; hopefully heβll have some really good ones.5 -
I ate over my IN target yesterday and over my OUT for the day. We rode our bikes into Wheatley for an ice cream cone, but were too early. We rode back to our campsite. Later in the day, we went into Leamington for Diesel fuel and got our ice cream on the way back. I had apple pie and white chocolate raspberry. Again, no upset stomach afterward. That will be it for ice cream for awhile.
Heading home today. Iβll update my spreadsheet and do a weight tomorrow morning. Iβm feeling like Iβll be up a bit, only time will tell.7 -
We got back home last night. I added a deeper green color for higher calorie-burn days because I should get some kind of reward for those, right?
9/16-9/18 weigh-ins are in "strike-thru" font because there was no weigh-in, but I weighed exactly the same when I returned. I did not gain. π
We flew to and from our destination. Here at home, we walk and take public transit to the airport, so that was lots of walking with backpacks on. It was a three-day trip to Disneyland which was a retirement gift from my husband's employer.
I wasn't expecting to find my lighter foods there, but you can eat well there if you are careful, and the lighter-fare is pretty good. It was brutally hot and humid. I balanced it all out the best I could.
The only downside to the trip is that I'm very behind on my sleep. (oh, and that showed up on my VO2Max! It will hopefully bounce back in a day or two).

Hi All,
I'm Jenny, 60 years old, 5β6β and hit my goal weight in Feb. 2024 with the help of this group - maintained for 8 months and then just hit a really stressful stretch of life with toxic work situations, long hours and the stress of building a new home in DE and selling our old home in NY. It's like I defiantly watched myself start binge eating, drinking more alcohol and gaining almost every pound back. So here I am again - finally settled in the new house and doing what worked for me the first time - daily weighing, IF, logging and exercise. Iβm also adding Noom to the mix to help me find better ways of coping with stress. My goal for this challenge is to simply keep with it β even after a slip. I can do this β Iβve done it before, I can do it again!
Day 25β09/16: 220.0 β been MIA for a bit with a very stressful work situation that I didnβt handle well in terms of food and alcohol. Finally got through the gauntlet last week and spent the weekend prepping soups for lunches, enjoying the sunshine doing pool workouts with DH, and resolving to not let work derail every good thing in my life. Back on track yesterday, a cardio/weights workout & stretch today, and ready to move forward again.
Day 26β09/17βDNW: Had a nice walk with DH to start the day β trying to focus on simple moderation this week so Iβm not ping ponging with the all or nothing behavior Iβve been struggling with. Making mostly good food decisions, and moving every day.
Day 27β09/18: 218.6 Slowly working my way back down to where I was before my backslide, and feeling much more positive this week even with the long work hours. Did a more challenging weights/cardio workout with DH and a really nice yoga stretch. Iβm hoping the weather is warmer tomorrow morning because Iβd love to get a few more pool workouts in before they close it for the season!
Day 28β09/19: 218.6 β I started work at 6am, and then just took a break at 10:30am to get a pool workout in with DH, because the weather is gorgeous today! I feel like if I can make an effort to take those bits of respite where I can my mindset will be a whole lot healthier!

I see some losses this week....WTG! I also see some who have plateaued. And that's not bad...I would rather plateau than gain. But tomorrow is a new week and we all begin again!

Ohβ¦Phils lost but Giants lost so they are in the playoffs. Eagles WON, but there needs to be some work on offense....too predictable. Even I knew what they were going to do half the time. Hopefully they will figure it out in the coming weeks.
Day 25β09/16βΒ 161.6 - Stayed up till nearly 2, but I saw the Phillies win the NL EAST CHAMPIONSHIP! But doing it on the west coast is brutal. Now they need to overtake the Brewers for most wins to get home field advantage in the playoffs.
Food yesterday was good. I might do similar today....grilled ham and cheese for lunch, maybe soup for dinner. Soon will be time to make a pot of chili...looking forward to that.
Day 26β09/17βΒ 161 - Another good day yesterday. Pretty much a repeat of the day before. I will likely have the same lunch but not sure about dinner. Need to make a trip to the grocery store. My vegetable crisper drawer in my refrigerator only has 2 apples in it....nothing else. Can't remember the last time it was so empty.

small for me last summer. They all fit now, except one pair of shorts that is too big...I put that in the donation bag along with some t-shirts that are XL. One sweater which is one of my favorites, is still too small, but not sure if it will ever fit again. The sleeves are too tight and at my age, the stretched skin is not going to go away. I will hold onto it for one more season and if it still doesn't fit, I will donate it. Next, I have to go through my winter clothes to see what is too big now and donate them. I am DONE with gaining weight back and having more than one size wardrobe!Oh...Phils won again last night!
Day 27β09/18βΒ 161 - Well...I was asked if I wanted to go to Cane's yesterday for a late lunch and of course I said YES! I expected my weight to go up today, but it didn't! Got to Wegman's and decided to splurge a little and got a bag of Littleneck clams.....LOVE THOSE! So that will be dinner along with some veggies. I had a small cup of Siggi's for breakfast. Probably have a sandwich for lunch.
Picked up the crocheting again last night....I am about ΒΎ of the way done my one granddaughter's afghan. Have to stuff the crocheted pumpkin I made. too. I have SO many ideas for projects and need to finish the ones I am doing NOW! π

Last night I got out a bin of clothes that have been too small for me for years, but I just couldn't part with them. Tried them all on. Most now fit! (with the exception of one bathing suit and one pair of Gap jeans that still have the TAGS on it!) Including a casual dress I bought so long ago, I don't remember when. It never fit. But now it does. So that's a big win for me! Another 10 pounds and everything I own will fit perfectly!

Thoughts at the start of this round:
This round will be challenging as it includes the U.S. holidays of Labor Day, Halloween and Thanksgiving. All are big foodie or party and dessert type holidays in the U.S. There are also multiple birthday celebrations in my family. In addition, there will be a lot of travel which is traditional in the fall for me as I try to avoid as many icy driving trips as possible in the winter months. There will be lots of doctor appointments away from home as well as Christmas and gift-giving shopping in this round. I will have to make sure I stay on top of my plan in every moment I can and to make the necessary corrections every time the scale goes up. We canβt control the ingredients in restaurant food so portion control will be key when away from home. I will again aim for a 10 pound loss this round. No TMI x 3, no diuretic for several days due to busy schedule, out to dinner yesterday with son after the salon appointments, mini binge last night after getting the taste of sugar in my mouth. Yeah, all the things. Iβm always amazed at how big the overnight number can be, just from the fluid backup alone. No time again today for my medication, too many places to go on Thursdays. Iβll try tomorrow but honestly, it may have to wait until Saturday. At least Iβm getting my workouts in at night.
ππππ Day 28β09/19β185.0 β - (Trend Weight: 185.0) With stomach still hurting I did a liquid diet yesterday eating similarly to what I did one day earlier in the week, trying to give my intestines a rest. This caused the overnight whoosh but there are still several extra pounds here that need to be contended with and my diuretic will likely help. My weight today is a very late weigh-in. I usually donβt weigh on Fridays at all due to my schedule. I have been eating more yogurt lately due to some delicious seasonal flavors I can only get once per year in the fall. I wonder if that is what is causing the stomach distress/gassiness? Pain has been spastic and intense.
